PDF Editor FAQ

Why doesn't the IRS do my taxes for me?

Actually the IRS will do your tax return for you. First you may qualify for free taxpayer assistance from the VITA program of the IRS.Second even if you don't qualify, you can just not file a return on time, they will take the information they have as to what your earnings were and calculate how much you owe. Of course you will also get charged penalties and interest for filing late. One note of caution if you have the service do your return, I can pretty much guarantee you will not like the answer, because in 25 years I have never seen a tax assessment from the IRS that was not for at least $2,000 more than what was actually owed.

What should I do if I get a “caution: filename not matched” error when trying to unzip multiple files at once in Terminal?

Ah yes, this problem. It's really kind of stupid. From: http://installingcats.com/2008/05/23/caution-filename-not-matched-unzipping-multiple-files/ :unzip \*.zip"Trying to run: “unzip *.zip” will cause the unzip program to take “first.zip” as the archive to play with, and will look for files “second.zip” and “third.zip” within “first.zip” to expand/extract. Obviously not what you want to do."

What’s the fastest you’ve wiped a smirk off of someone’s face?

Divorced amicably. Always got along well with my ex-husband and his family. A few years after the divorce he started dating a new woman, this one was serious, they were in love, she stated that is why he didn't pick up his children anymore for his visitation. He usually visited with them when they were at his parents home. Now, he didn't see them at all.For some reason she felt that since he chose to not see children, he shouldn't pay Child Support. Cautioned her not to take us to court, that their father and I agreed on support and going to court would cost her money. In our state the County Children's Services Division would represent the Children for free, meaning I wouldn't have to pay a dime for an attorney, they would have to pay an attorney. Leave it as is, ex-husband and I had agreed on a smaller amount and seemed to be doing well from the beginning. She didn't believe me.They filed, hired an attorney and went to court. The day of court, she was yelling questioning where I was. They informed her that I didn't have to attend, I was at work, their attorneys represented the Children. They brought up unrelated topics not related to Child Support at all. Ex-husband was asked how often he spent time with his children and how often he spent his own money on them. His answers? Not for a few months and never, not even holidays, his parents had purchased our children's Christmas presents. Of course they lost the court case and the judge almost doubled the Child Support. Also, he could only see them if his parents were present as his wife was stating things that the judge couldn't prove was harmful but she didn't find her stable enough to be with them one on one.My ex-husband was also a weekend musician known to play at many local events. Knew he was paid cash or even by check and I never mentioned that income during our divorce. We always reported his income on our taxes while married. They never did. He played in the band at a County Holiday Event and the Attorney, Judges, and County employees were in attendance. She always traveled with him because she didn't trust him. Her yelling and making a scene made her memorable which in turn made him memorable. And they knew he was getting paid as she was selling T-shirts, CD's, Cassettes in the back of the room aka more income. The Attorneys took him back to court. The Attorney purchased a Shirt and CD. Her anger and blaming made them have to pay more in Child Support and they got in trouble with the IRS.He was kicked out of the band because all members were investigated for taxes. No issue for me because we turned the income in.Never missed a day of work. Never turned his extra income in, never did anything. Her hatred of me and distrust of him, none of which was ever needed cost her thousands of dollars more. Children are all adults and have children of their own. He had to pay for about a year past the final date because he was in arrears for monies not reported. Will admit, it wasn't the fastest. But was the sweetest.

Comments from Our Customers

By trying to activate my Cocodoc Desktop Pro on my new notebook, there was a small problem with the license-key. I used this key already on my old notebook. I mentioned this problem at 15:01 and I got a reponse at 15:12. Everything was OK at 15:18. It was a very great experience with Icecream Apps!
