By convincing yourself you have things that aren’t there (true love, stability, maturity) you will force things to happen that you aren’t quite ready for.Long story short: Don’t take the chicken out of the oven too soon. You’ll make everyone at the table sick, including yourself.

Nobita’s mom.I forgot her name. Tamako? Okay, nevermind.Back to childhood days, I considered her a very strict lady, who always used to scold Nobita and Doraemon, just cared about grades and nothing, shouted every time. Gosh, I even asked my mom to not be like her!But slowly I realised,She was just any caring mom who wanted her child to not remain average ,and be as good as Dekisuki and other kids in making a mark.She never did partiality between Nobita and Doraemon; she gave Doraemon as much love as she showered on Nobita. That also includes scolding both of them equally for their mistakes.She took responsibility of managing the entire household; noting down how much expenditure was spent previous month, planning on household goods, cooking, even knitting garments. So it's natural for her to be a bit frustrated. Plus, the unachievments of Nobita only made her more stressed out.She didn't scold Nobita every time. She appreciated his good deeds too. Remember the episode when someone called her to thank Nobita for saving her belongings from a thief? She forgave all his previous mistakes with a big, lovely hug.Well, she was better than other moms in the story, unlike Gian’s mom who used to beat her kid savagely, or that of Sunio’s who spoilt her kid by money. I did, last night.We were at a famous fancy restaurant known for its particular dishes and preserves, and its lovely family-friendly decor. We had our girls; the table in front of us had a couple of kids, and the table behind us had two kids, boy and girl, about 9 and 11 respectively.The kitchen was downstairs, and our corner of the restaurant had the stairs running down along our line of tables. All evening the beautifully turned-out waiters would be running down those stairs with trays bearing used dishes and crockery, and the busboys would be running up again with clean dishes to return to the wide shelves.So the kids behind us were decently behaved most of the time, and then their dessert arrived and within three minutes, they were careening around our corner of the restaurant playing catch and suchlike while the adults at their table had their ‘sobremesa’, the pleasant table-talk following a good meal.I had my back to their table, facing the head of the stairs across the aisle on my right. The boy had begun creeping down the stairs, at first quietly and then more noisily as no one from his table reprimanded him. My husband and I eyed each other; both of us worked at some point as entertainers in fancy restaurants and have seen the incredible damage perpetuated by a rowdy kid in the wrong place. Waiters run on rails and turning a corner at top speed with a 30 lb tray of crockery right into a nosy brat often means said crockery is sent flying in all directions. I witnessed a stair accident once and I never want to see another again.So I caught the kid’s eye with my sternest and most withering gaze and jerked my thumb over my shoulder. Beside me my husband (a huge hulking fellow with a black beard and humorous but scary eyes) made a face at him. The kid turned back up the stairs and slunk back to the table. His sister pulled at him a time or two, and ran meaningfully towards the stair head, but he called her back with the information that they were not allowed to go there.Score.Score.Score.
