Carlos museum at Emory University - large collection of ancient human artifactsThe Clermont Lounge - OK, this one is pretty well known, but should not be missed. Do ask Blondie to crush beer cans between her tits. Do not touch the dancers.The 57th Fighter Wing Restaurant at Peachtree-Dekalb Airport. Used to house its eponymous air unit during WWII; the decor, music etc. are authentic to that era. Swing dancing on Sunday nights. Also, you can purchase biplane rides around town in the yard behind the restaurant.College Football Hall of Fame, if you’re into that sort of thingHankook Taqueria - it’s a hole-in-the-wall Korean taco joint on the west side. Simply amazing.Buford Highway - traversing this road, you will encounter just about every nationality supermarket and restaurant imaginable, from Nepalese to Nicaraguan. If you are hungry, go here.Dekalb Farmers Market - unbelievably huge operation selling very cheap, high quality, and in some cases rare food varieties.Mary Mac’s Tearoom - old school southern fare on Ponce de Leon Ave. Get the fried green tomatoes and sauteed liver & onions!Piedmont Park - we are blessed to have such a superlative green space in the middle of Atlanta. Glad you asked.From Cincinnati go about an hour north, to Dayton, for the number one tourist attraction in the state, the United States Air Force Museum…it’s free and has the most extensive collection of military aircraft in the world. Also in Dayton is the Wright Bros. heritage. The National Park Service operates three former workshop/labs of theirs plus Huffman Prarie their testing site and the Wright Bros. Mansion is located in nearby Oakwood. Drive another hour north to ski at Mad River Mountain. After that just keep on skiing at Snow Trails In Mansfield and then on to Alpine Valley, Brandywine, and Boston Mills in the Cleveland area. While in Cleveland you could enjoy world class symphonic music with the Cleveland Orchestra and go downtown to visit the Rock Hall of Fame and the nearly 1000’ Key Bank, the tallest bldg. between Philadelphia and Chicago. If you are there during the summer months and enjoy the water, Lake Erie has some of the best sport fishing in the world in addition to swimming and boating. I hear the ice fishing is good right now as well. In summer take the kids to Cedar Point about an hour west of Cleveland for a collection of the best roller coasters anywhere. Cleveland also hosts all three major professional sports teams; the Indians for baseball, the Browns for football, and the Cavaliers for basketball. Just outside of Cleveland lies the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Ohio’s only National Park. An hour’s drive south down I77 in Canton is the NFL Hall of Fame.if you still have some energy and money head south down I71 to Lexington and the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course where the Indycars and NASCAR race every summer. If it is fall you can catch the Ohio State University football, one of the top handful of college football programs in the country. Right now the OSU Basketball team in ranked 4th nationally as well. All this in Columbus our largest city and state capital. On your way home to Cincinnati down I71, spend another day at Kings Island…another top notch amusement park.
