I've been an undergrad TA, a grad TA, and a professor who manages TAs. I've done this for over 25 years. And based on this, my answer is a categorical no.Since you asked, though, I will tell you something common to female undergrad students. They have just as much (or as little) desire and ability to learn, succeed, and make it on their own steam without asking favours.Stereotypes like this are not only false, they're also unfair.
