Did the UK ever consider having students say a pledge of allegiance?Niet, nope, nein.About the only time we rise to our feet for such occasions, might be the Queen’s Christmas speech, a national anthem being played at a sports event or Remembrance.One of my colleagues spent a little time in the USA as a teenager. His father worked there and he was put into a local school. He describes the flag thing in the morning, from close to thirty years ago, as brainwashing.My own experience was late last year. Went into an outdoors store, huge place, on a Sunday. Guy turns up on the balcony, with an amp, and starts singing “Star spangled banner”. This felt as uncomfortable to me as the bomb drills we used to do in government buildings. Noise goes off and you have to pretend it’s real. Trust me, for many outsiders, this is plain creepy.We teach our kids to think, to make decisions, not to bang out rote answers and behaviours. All that flag stuff is just control of the masses. Land of the free … my arse !!!

Lets cut to the chase and fine tune diplomacyObama basically called Rahul - a 50 year old MAN CHILDPlain and simple - Obamas meaning was clear - Obama simply stated his opinion that unless he drastically changes his attitude - HE IS NO WAY QUALIFIED TO LEAD THE COUNTRY IN ANY POSSIBLE MANNER.When Obama met Rahul - Rahul was exactly 40 years old. At the same age - his Great Grandfather had just been voted in as President of the Indian National Congress, his Grandmother was an Important Minister in the Government of India, His Father had just been elected by a thumping majority to become Prime Minister of India.Simply put - Obama himself was one of the most important State Senators of Illinois when he was 40 - on his way to much bigger things.To begin with - Obama was not happy with having to meet Rahul Gandhi in the first place.In 2010 - He met two important people - the Leader of the Government and Prime Minister - Shri Manmohan Singh and the Opposition Leader - Ms Swaraj when he addressed the Lok Sabha.His meeting with Sonia Gandhi was off the books and was puzzling. Even more puzzling was his meeting with Rahul Gandhi.Its like Narendra Modi visiting the US - Visiting President Trump, Vice President Pence and then having a separate meeting with Nancy Pelosi. Its much worse if Modi was requested to meet Pelosis son and spend 20 minutes with him.Sources say Obama was furious about the meeting even though he had been perfectly delighted to visit a Local School and Local College and enjoying some dance programs and college style debates and projects on renewable energy.The Second thing was - Rahul knows Nothing about US History or even Indian History. He knows Nothing about General Knowledge or anything of International affairs. Obama is a master of all of these.Now Modi himself knows nothing of these topics except maybe Indian History but as PM he has 25 Advisors who can bring him up to date - but RaGa either had no advisor or believed he knew enough.So what could they have talked about?Now - I dont know much about US Sports but even i know the Red Sox come from Boston while the White Sox come from Chicago. Its a Sacrilege to get them confused or wrong. Its equivalent of saying Virat Kohli plays for Pakistan.RaGa happily claimed Boston White Sox as his favorite Baseball team before deleting the tweet.So i dont imagine Rahul would have had too much to talk about Sport or Economy or Indian - US History.My opinion on the Remarks are simply this :-Obama is subtly telling the world - Rahul Gandhi is not fit to be Indian Prime Minister. Not now, Not ever.He lacks the Backbone or Spine, He is too eager to please and He is “Unformed” meaning utterly immature and deficient of knowledge.Apologies for offending Rahul but that seems to be the case. Unless Rahul genuinely reforms himself - this is going to be his legacy.

Today Candace Owens appeared on Fox News on Laura Ingraham’s show, The Ingraham Angle. This is not the first time she has appeared on Fox News, and at this point we already know exactly what she’s gonna say: Democrats are bad, Republicans are good, and Black people need to be grateful for Donald Trump and the Republican Party.During her interview, Owens went on a rant about how President Obama divided the country and how racism in America is a myth. But for people who know about her past, we know that was untrue. While she was in high school, Candace Owens sued her local school district because she was racially harassed by fellow students at Stamford High School. The students were allegedly connected to the son of Stamford’s mayor, Dannel Malloy, who would later become governor of Connecticut. She said the school district failed to protect her and, with the help of the NAACP, won a settlement for $37,500.Racist threats case filed by Stamford High student settled for $37,500This single event perfectly captures Candace Owens’ hypocrisy:She claims racism is not a thing, though we have documentation that she has experienced it first-hand.She constantly accuses black people of having a victim mentality when it comes to racism, yet she conveniently overlooks when she gladly profited from her own victimhood.She trash talks the NAACP at every opportunity, while failing to mention that they helped her when she was younger.She blames racial divisions in this country on President Obama, but her racial harassment incident happened in 2008, before Obama even took office.What’s weird about this is that the story was easily searchable. This didn’t require a lengthy fact check. She was on television and people were live tweeting about her lies in real time.Is her getting on Fox News and blatantly lying problematic? I think so.This is why people call her a sellout. It’s not because she’s a black conservative. It’s because she’s willing to sell her soul if it means increasing her platform. She will tell any lie imaginable if it will endear her to conservatives, and it’s always at the expense of black people. She’s a charlatan, provocateur and profiteer, plain and simple. Most black folks recognized this a long time ago. Contrary to Ms Owens’ claims of us being blindly misled by Democrats, we know liars and grifters when we see them, whether they’re on street corners selling fugazi jewelry or on Fox News selling lies about the black community.Candace Owens is a grifter and a liar, yet she has a huge platform.
