Why is CGI so bad in anime? Aren’t they all like that now?

So recently I watched the anime:Land Of The LustrousAs you can tell - the animation is stunning. Each and every character has their own unique design and style that helps them stand out.And more importantly: This is a CGI series. But it's not the bad kind of CGI you're used to.After the first episode - it starts to warm on you, and it only gets better. The same is true for God Eater. If you watch this action series you'll be surprised CGI could ever be so good, compared to what you've seen in the past when it comes to anime.Black Rock Shooter has some CGI as well. And even though it was released years ago (2012 maybe) it doesn't look terrible at all. While it's true that not all CGI in anime is good, it's inaccurate to say ALL of it is bad.Like entertainment in general, you have to find the gold hidden among the Bronze.I think it's a case of the right studios taking the right approach to CGI to make it look good, as opposed to technology getting better to make it “look” good, if that makes sense. Thanks Naofumi Iwatani

How would you rate DCEU film universe villains?

First, let’s just get the trash out of the way. This guy right here was….horrible, to say the least. A lack-luster, generic villain who had no real motivation, with the cliche end-goal of “global destruction”, and was easily trampled in the end of the film, failing to even put up a good fight. And to make things worse, his CGI was just as crappy as his writing.Steppenwolf is a mistake we all want to forget.-1/10 (Yeah, that a negative 1!)And speaking of things we want to forget…The JokerW-what is this:The tatoos? The grill? The rings? The chains (not shown in this picture)? NONE of those are things the Joker would ever wear. The Clown Prince doesn’t spend money on extravagant accessories. He’s a simple man. And DC tried so hard to remodel the Joker that they ended up totally messing up his character.3/10Lex LuthorAnother flop caused by trying to “remake” a classic character. To be fair, Jesse’s Luthor was actually a bit compelling to me, but obviously not everyone agrees. He’s still a sniveling, scheming punk with tons of resources and a hatred for Superman. Not as jaded and poised as the original Lex Luthor, but I believe that as Warner Bros. moved forward, it planned to slowly grow Lex’s character and gradually bring his on-screen interpretation closer to the comic version.4/10DoomsdayThe DCEU Doomsday would have been almost perfect (bar his weird design) if he hadn’t been so badly wasted. It was only the franchise’s second film. Just the second, and they decided to kill Doomsday and Superman off. As a result, no one really cared about either of their deaths because we never really got to know them very well. Doomsday is a character that could have been brought in during the fourth or fifth film, after viewers became emotionally invested in Superman, so that his death at DD’s hand would have maximum effect. But no, the DCEU rushed in and wasted it all.5/10EnchantressTo be honest, I don’t know too much about Enchantress to speak with much authority on her portrayal on-screen, but what I do know is that she was a pretty OK villain. She seemed like a real threat to the Suicide Squad as well as Amanda Waller. Bur her problems lie in her motivations: Like Steppenwolf, she was simply a generic, destroy-the-world-for-no-reason type character. No real driving force behind her.6.5/10AresCall me stupid, but I never saw it coming that the British guy was Ares. It was a nice twist. And as a character (both as the human and as the god of war), he was not half bad either. His plan wasn’t the whole destroy-earth-for-kicks thing, and he actually looked quite threatening. Like an actual villain should be. However, in the end Wonder Woman proved that he was a pushover once she became serious. Although I guess that was the point, in the end.7/10Amanda WallerFrom the knowledge I have on this character, Viola Davis actually did admirably as Amanda Waller. In fact, she pretty much nailed it. Davis’ portrayal remained true to the source material. The character was threatening, despite technically being a powerless human. And her motivations, though still a little cliche, were better than the destroy-the-world bullcrap that Steppenwolf gave us.8/10General ZodThis guy is more or less the gold standard of the DCEU right now. He was cool, threatening/powerful, fleshed-out, and had good CGI to boot. He and his minions easily rank higher than the first four villains on this list combined.9/10

Why did Avengers use CGI for Thanos instead of contacting the real Thanos to be filmed?

Unfortunately Thanks fought Marvel on too many things. He was always complaining about everything. I don’t really think my character would do that. Oh the makeup department is making me look too pink. Oh I don’t think gold is my color, can we get the Gauntlet in silver. I really think Thanos should have a mohawk. I don’t think Thanos would say this. I don’t like this new armor, can I have the old one back.He was also constantly late, and blamed everyone else for the delays. He would also refuse to get in shape for the role, saying that they could fix it later. The biggest issue was that he couldn’t get along with the other actors at all, and wouldn’t work with them.On top of all of those issues he demanded that he should be paid more than everyone else. “A ship ticket from Titan isn’t cheap you know.” At the end of the day it just made more sense financially and logistically to make Thanos a cgi character. So they fired Thanks.EDIT: People are editing my answer. Thank you, but the misspelling was part of the joke. The original question had the typo, so I went with it in my answer.
