I enjoy nothing better than ruminating about ruminants.“Deer” is somewhat vague, because there are many species.This is a full-grown deer:I think you or I could probably kick its little head in without much trouble, but I don’t think either of us should do that. The pudu does not deserve such violence.On the other end of the spectrum, this is also a full-grown deer:This mahoosive deer would probably turn you into a mousse if you attempted to subdue it with a spot of fisticuffs.So, we know that, somewhere between the pudu and the moose, lies an evenly-matched foe.I think many people could murder a muntjac:But would probably get eviscerated by an elk:Or even ripped apart by a red deer:The main problem is those antlers, although larger deer species are strong and powerful in their own right, and could knock you over and/or trample you as well.So… it depends on the species and/or individual animal. I don’t think a human has the physical weapons to actually do much damage to all but the smaller species, though.Without more specifics, I have to refer to a sightless hoofed ruminant and say—no eye deer.

Today Smriti Irani made India proud. Proud for having someone who could use logic and clearly defend every unjustified attack that she and the government was charged with.She gave one of the best speeches heard in Lok Sabha in history.She countered the somewhat vague and dangerous leftist propaganda which was widely promoted in media, while the left and opposition parties were basically attacking the government based on false accusations, putting the ruling party on the defensive. Ultimately though, the opposition was left speechless with their weak accusations which literally had no basis either in facts nor in logic.As they say, "aaj doodh ka doodh aur pani ka pani ho gaya".The highlight was when she read out the student's calls to rise against the supreme court of the nation, who claimed India is a 'fascist Hindu dictatorship and a murderous republic' - and countered it with - "the supreme court these students accused of being a murderer, is the same one which these students are now pleading for justice - and the court welcomes them to put their request forward - THIS is the strength of my democracy"With that, Smriti Irani - a class XII pass non graduate - put the PhD scholars of JNU (who have so far displayed a chronic superiority complex regarding their intellectual prowess, and who constantly dismiss others for being too stupid to understand their 'great' ideas) - she put them in their rightful place. She read a statement against India written by one of the accused and said :"I look upon this student, as a child who has been mobilized as a weapon against the state, infected by the ideas of those who want to bear arms to overthrow our nation".Apt words.In this whole JNU fiasco, BJP has maintained a dignified silence for the most part, while being attacked on all sides by all parties with concocted and baseless allegations.This powerful speech that Smriti Irani gave today, countered all of them, andshowed the world the strength and greatness of our Indian democracy.
