I am not sure that I am willing to say that one had a better college career than the other.Reggie Bush was paired with another Heisman winner (Matt Leinart). O.J. was the only star on his team.Reggie was a multi-dimensional player (run, receive, kick-return, and punt-return). O. J. played a traditional role of running and receiving.Both players were on the losing side of their final college game (both were Rose Bowl Championship games - ’06 & ‘67). Bush was out shined by his own teammate (Bush had 82 yards rushing and LenDale White had 123 yds and 3 TDs). O. J. had a good Rose Bowl game (171 yds), but not great.Reggie gained 3169 career rushing yds with 25 TDs. O. J. ran for 3423 career rushing yds with 36 TDs. Reggie’s college stats come from 39 games (three seasons), compared to O. J.’s stats coming from just 22 games (two seasons).Both players won the Heisman. O. J. won by a record margin, while Reggie has the second highest margin.BTW, O. J. was also a track star. He was on the relay team that broke the world record for the 4x110 yard relay (1967). Can I use 30/06 ammo with a 308 Mossberg rifle?It seems like it should work, right? They both fire a .308 inch diameter bullet, and they’re both “rifle ammo”. Just like a video game!However….308WIN has a case length of 51mm while .30–06 has a case length of 63mm. If you try to load .30–06 into a .308 action, you will not be able to close the bolt, which should tell you that you done fucked up.However, you can load a .308 into a .30–06, and the action will close. You shouldn’t do this. It’s just as bad as loading .30–06 into a .308, but less obvious.Almost all firearms have the cartridge they take physically stamped onto the barrel. You should only ever load that kind of ammo into the firearm.If you don’t know enough about firearms to know about the exceptions to that (.357 & .38Spl, for example), then for you there are no exceptions.

If you want one cartridge for one rifle that will be adequate for all North American Game species?First, I’ll caution against trying to pick a “Swiss Army Knife” versus picking more appropriate tools for game (at least a “Small to Medium” and a “Medium to Large” game category rifles)…However, if I must - then I choose .30-’06.The .30-’06 will be adequate for every North American game species. It will not be perfect for the largest end (large Elk and Moose), but it will be adequate.It will be nearly ideal for deer species and sheep, and it will work well, but be “over gunned” for things like pigs and rabbit.Handloading bullets from 110 grain to 240 grain, the .30-’06 is as good a “Swiss Army Knife” of cartridges as there is.
