PDF Editor FAQ

Is 2020 going to be a lucky year?

It’s not the worst year of all time but it is probably one of the worst years so far in the 21st century if not the worst. This has been a very rough year so far and I don’t just mean for me either. Below are 10 reasons why I think this particular year is the worst one I seen since at least 2013 (though to be honest 2013 was a bad year personally for me for reasons specific to me whereas 2020 is just a bad year):We have a virus that is capable of being transmitted by other people who won’t even experience symptoms nor actually get sick from the virus , but yet are perfectly capable of unintentionally infecting others. We having an economy that was already showing some huge flaws for the working class in terms of wealth inequality that has been nothing be exacerbated by the virus. Add in the massive unemployment resulting from the virus and we are looking at a economy more hurt than possibly the 2008 Great Recession. It’s even possible that we could have massive depression soon and even if things go back to “normal” it will still never be back to “normal” after all this. The only real silver lininsg to it is if you want to buy stock or do some investing and somehow still have some money coming in during this (such as if you are an essential employee) now actually would be an ideal time to invest as the market will eventually recover and those who invest now could make a nice profit in the future since stock buy in is now significantly lower thanks to COVID-19, but for those who already had investments, they are hurting big time because of the virus. Also gas prices are stupid low right now which while I would normally love this, it’s only because demand for oil is at an all time low since there are no people on the roads.Tornadoes, at least in the South are also meanwhile on a huge uptick this spring and I even know someone personally that lost their home and is now basically homeless because of natural weather phenomenon.Speaking of homeless, despite state mandates that tenants are to not be evicted, many landlords are illegally evicting tenants or in the case of states that do not have such orders, getting evicted because of COVID-19 killing off their jobs and landlords (not all but some) are pretty much social parasites that likely have pre-existing personality disorders to even be that heartless. Then we have other diseases in addition to COVID-19 that are also on the rise and are also killing people left and right because of their transmission by people coming in closer contact with each other at shopping areas. Granted COVID-19 infection rates are starting to drop but this will inevitably lead to complacency and in fact their are already protests in the U.S supported by the current POTUS about having the lock down in place which is yet another insult to those involved to our health care workers. Granted I get where they are coming from as….The fact that there is more government involvement which is simply going to happen whenever you have something monumental happen like this and I for one do prefer less government intervention if it is a viable option, but I also feel they are risking the virus from ever really waning and improving the situation. Still, given the history of the U.S government it’s virtually impossible to truly trust them. Those sick with conditions prior to COVID-19 are now struggling to get their healthcare needs met due to how stretched thin healthcare staff are and the number of protocols in place just to even see a doctor, something that was already hard to access for many people in the U.S to begin with. In fact my own parents as I type this are sick with other conditions including pneumonia, cancer, and shingles and neither of them are really getting the best quality care. While being stuck at the house is okay, it can get really really boring after a while, although thankfully I found a free to download video game that has kept my occupied during all this personally, but still. The people hoarding basic things such as toilet paper is beyond irritating, selfish, and especially stupid as toilet paper literally will not help you fight COVID-19. It’s literally dampening my year off and I am still privately flipping off toilet paper teams and people regularly at the super market in tow.The fact that this all probably could have been prevented or at least been significantly lessened if more precautions were taken and people across the world had done their part in preventing the virus’s spread but government denial and downplaying throughout the world by pretty much most of the world’s leaders caused it to get as bad as it did to begin with.I could probably list another 10 but still… got to stop somewhere.Yet even with all those reasons listed, this pandemic still isn’t even the worst pandemic in human history.
