Before I answer your question, let me provide an interesting fact. In Florida, 6th graders who score well on the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) are encouraged to take the SAT test in 7th grade by Duke University under their Talent Identification Program - referred to as Duke Tip - and those who qualify after taking the SAT and participate in college courses at Duke or its partner colleges are referred to as Duke Tipsters.Universities that offer similar programs are (extracted from Younger Students):Center for Talented Youth (Johns Hopkins University)Duke Talent Identification Program (Duke University)Midwest Academic Talent Search(Northwestern University)Center for Bright Kids (Western Academic Talent Search)The 6th, 7th and 8th grade scores, especially taken without preparation, are indicative of the students’ future scores and scoring 1200’s in 7th grade, the student maybe projected to score 1500’s in 11th grade.Here's a real life example of a 7th grader SAT (notice the “school not listed” comment which is meant to disassociate the student from his/her school of attendance from the test) of 600R/530M/560W (with Essay Score of 6/8) or 1690/2400 with penalty for wrong answers still in effect. You’ll likely score much higher in 11th or 12th and your 8th grade scores would be too old, too low, and would not list your high school by name so it doesn’t serve any purpose for college applications.On the positive side, since you’ve already taken the SAT, you likely did well on a state standardized test and you also likely did well on the SAT for your age, so congratulations!!!

In the first Lubinski paper on the longitudinal following of a Study of Exceptional Talent cohort, the mean score of 800 (SAT verbal+math) corresponded to a standard deviation of 2.32 on an IQ scale with a mean of 100 and standard deviation of 16. That comes out to an average IQ of 137. It's probably a bit higher in reality, as ceilings are a problem on the SAT math section, which artificially deflates the scoring. That doesn't impact many participants, though. I'd guess it's close to 140 once adjusted for the low ceiling.

I was unable to find any reliable source for Lady Gaga's IQ. That's not surprising. Had she ever consented to having her IQ score publicized, it would have made headline news in the Entertainment industry (as a curiosity, if nothing else).That leaves us to seeing if there is a credible way to estimate her IQ. And yes, there is. At the very least, we can find a floor for her IQ.In middle school, Stefani Germanotta participated in a summer program sponsored by the John Hopkins University Center For Talented Youth. Eligibility for this program is based on SAT, ACT, or similar scores. This year, for example, for a 7th grader to be eligible, he or she would have to score a 510 on the Critical Reading portion of the SAT, or a 21 on the ACT reading test (in 7th grade!) Other famous people who participated in that program as youths include Mark Zuckerberg and Sergei Brin. My own daughter participated in a very similar program run by Duke University. The cutoff IQ for the top 1% is around 135-137, depending on the IQ test. That's roughly the IQ estimated for Bill and Hillary Clinton (between 135 and 140 for both).So, we may not be able to verify that Gaga's IQ is 166, but it seems a very safe bet that she's at 135 as a minimum, above the minimum Mensa standard of 130-132 (again, depending on the test).Can we support an IQ of 166? There is no hard evidence, but...She is fluent in both English and French (and knows a smattering of Italian and Russian).She is a gifted composer (has written songs for Brittany Spears, New Kids on the Block, Fergie, and Pussycat Dolls).She is an accomplished keyboardist (accompanies herself during live performances).These things taken together are not proof that she has an IQ over 135, but hint strongly that she does.Finally, many famous classical composers (Bach, Hayden, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Strauss, Wagner) were all estimated by Catherine Cox in 1926 as having IQs between 160 and 170. Considering the rarity of gifted composers at Gaga's level, it's not too big a stretch to suppose she might be in that company.
