The information on the School's website and Calendar are meant to inform the remaining Course and Project based Masters students enrolled into these programs. I am glad to answer this question as I have done a 6 months long internship and prepared my Master thesis at Fraunhofer ISE, Germany.First of all, there are certain rules and regulations in Germany for a Non-EU citizens to undergo an intership.Most companies look out for students who are enrolled in a program which requires the student to take up a mandatory internship as per the course regulation.The max internship time period will be 6 months if it is mandatory orelse it will be shortened to 3 months.If you are specific about preparing a Master thesis rather than just undergoing an Internship then you should search for such oppertunities on the internet. German companies provides students a platform to research on a topic and prepare the thesis. This is called Master arbeit student.The problem with point 3 is Visa. Suppose, you received an offer for working in a company to prepare thesis. You will have to apply for a visa to come to Germany and this Master arbeit work is considered as if you are coming to Germay for a work related purpose. Therefore, the Embassy has to issue a work permit for you. This whole process takes 2–3 months time as the Embassy has to get the permission from the German Federal employment agency (Non-EU citizen).I reccomend you to plan everything accordingly and apply for the visa asap to avoid any delays.Study some basic german from the internet. This will be very useful in your daily life in Germany.Most of the companies provides a fair remuneration. But, this won’t be sufficient to get the visa .So, be prepared to show some amount in your bank account.If you are an EU national, then skip all the points . Prepare a good CV and motivation letter for each application. Browse the internet, turn on your google transalate and apply for available positions.
