I was in middle school when a 12 year old ended her own life. Two kids got arrested for bullying….but a male teacher was involved too.She’s the beautiful girl on the right :(I didn’t know her very well since she was in the 6th or 7th grade last year. I was an 8th grader so we didn’t cross paths often. Some girls were extremely jealous that she was dating older guys who are high schoolers. They took it too far and decided that beating Gabriella up at the mall and in school washrooms was okay. Messed up rumours about the girl prostituting herself were being spread on social media. She tried talking to the school administrators for over a year, but they did nothing. My old school was considered “ghetto” (in Pompano Beach, Florida). Kids who started violence and bullied usually got away with it, but this one incident went too far. It was a BIG deal. They told us that she committed suicide. Nobody believed it at first but we had to admit the truth. The police investigated multiple smartphones and arrested two people for harassment. They were two 12 year olds with proof that they’d been bullying her to this point. I don’t know much about the teacher but I didn’t hear anything about him getting into trouble. Her parents think that a particular male teacher was harassing her too. That same teacher told a classroom of 6th graders that she wasn’t the best of his students, that they can’t feel sad if they didn’t know her and she wasn’t a good friend AFTER SHE PASSED AWAY. That’s all I heard.I’m not around that school as much anymore since I went off to high school. My middle schooler friends say things went back to normal…after all those protests and little parades of parents went marching for stricter anti-bullying policies. Nobody talks about this horrible tragedy. I believe they might still be investigating the situation itself.

Seems like he got the shit end of the stick from the start. Thank God he had some family step up and help guide him right or he may very well have ended up being a bad guy.

I was born in Pompano Beach but basically grew up in Boca Raton. Boca's known to have a lot of old and rich people but there are some awfully poor areas down here, especially as a middle-low class American. There's not too much violence in my area, luckily, but I know down south there's much more gang and non-gang related violence. Schools down here vary a lot from real shitty to real good, depending on your area and dedication to school. One thing I like down here is the diversity. It's not all white, not all black, not all asian or hispanic and etc.; it's a bit of everything… well, majority probably being American's and Brazilian's but there IS still a bit of everything. Another thing down in Florida is, of course, the attractions. Growing up in Boca, there's not much within the ten mile radius I stay in, usually. East of us is this rich area called Mizner and more east is the beach; south of us is Miami and way up north is Orlando. I'm right in the middle of all the action but I'm not far from the beach. If you're a beach person, the beach should be fun…until you get bored since it's right next to you. Miami has a lot more to offer but there's more violence and certain parts and the nice parts are usually a bit more expensive, not to mention the far drive from here to there. Orlando has Universal which is fun to go to annually (or not annually if you're broke like me) but I can't imagine living there is too fun. You'd ride the ride over and over for a month or so and be sick of them and besides that, Orlando is pretty boring from what I've seen at least. If you're going to come to Florida, go see Miami but make sure you got the money for the fun parts and stay away from the violent parts. It hasn't been bad spending my life here; Boca is pretty mundane but I can't complain. Made some good friends down here, the lack of attractions may get boring but there are still fun things to do around here, the schools aren't terrible (although I'm not up to date with schools grades/ratings so I can't compare them to other states' schools), and overall it's pretty nice down here.
