They agreed.The officer who was promoted to take my place dropped the charges but lost his job only 3 months later when they cornered him in a like situation. He was so pissed he ended up going to law school and is practicing law now, making a good bit of cash chasing ambulances. In fact I had him represent me when Workers Comp tried to cut my benefits, he made just as good an attorney as he was a cop, and he was one of the best cops that ever worked for me. I took another job in another town in North Dakota and quickly rose to the rank of Chief with that Department, a job I held till an accident put me on Workers Comp for the rest of my days.Still pisses me off every time I go through that little town, and this all happened back in 1985.
