Strategic Plan For New And Renewable Energy Sector For The: Fill & Download for Free

I am a value investor by nature and when the stocks were making new highs the past couple of months , I was looking for some medium to long term stock bets.I stumbled across Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) , but just finding the stock is not everything as your question states. So how did I get conviction on this stock? By researching thoroughly on the below mentioned:Plant Locations: Company operates in mineral rich Gujarat.GST Effect - Tax rate burden to come down from 22.5 +6 % to 16-17% post GST. A gain would be imminent just like that in the EBITDA,Company Business Sector Sector Competition- Company operates in Mining & Minerals Sector. Not many companies to compete with. Also high barriers to entry because Government is closing down mines and hardly issuing any new licenses.Return on Asset - Even though RoA is low at 7.63% it has been on a constant uptrend.Return On Equity - Even though RoE is low at 7.18% , the average RoE is high at 16.83%.Price to Book Value - Price to Book Value is 1.25 , so there is a comfortable margin of safety.Debt to Equity - No Debt on its books shows excellent finance condition of company. In future if company has a big Capex (Capital Expenditure) planned , they can take a good amount of debt.Past performance - The annual results have been shaky but nonetheless they have been good.Book Value Growth - Book value shows that the company has ploughed money/retained profits in money yielding assets. In the case of GMDC the book value has grown 400% ( from 34 to 126). This is a very good book value growth example.Cash Flow Analysis - In the preceding 10 years , 6 years had negative and 4 had positive cash flows. This is a bit of concern since we would want business to operate in such a way that profits can be ploughed back into the business.Peer Analysis -Promoter Holding - The promoter holding is at 74% which is a good indicator.Shareholding Pattern - The shareholding pattern of GMDC[1] is very interesting. Only 10% of the total shares are in free float which means majority of Institutions , Mutual funds , FIIs and NRIs are holding this for long term.Reserves and Surplus Growth - Reserves have also grown almost 500% in a span of 12 years.Future-Company focusing on renewable energy sources to reduce burden on fossil fuels which may also help in reduction of costs.“Government’s initiatives like Make in India are likely to boost the demand of minerals in India.With the enactment of MMDR Amendment Act 2015, GMDC can identify the need for developing new Lignite mines in Western Kutch as well as South Gujarat under section 17(2A). This will also be necessary to meet increase in Lignite demand in long term due to fluctuation/increase in import coal prices.Solar power generation to utilise GMDC’s mined-out land and fulfil restoration obligation from its exhausting mines and evaluate returns and tax benefits under current tariff regime.GMDC being the PSU enjoys the preferential right over the private miners. Provision for reservation of mining leases under Section 17 (2A) of MMDR Amendment Act 2015 and the rule for extension of mining lease by additional 50 years for PSUs opens up opportunities for GMDC to safeguard its long-term operations in mining as per the strategic needs of Gujarat.The newly allotted lignite leases are having huge deposits of limestone as overburden.With the Indian economy expected to grow by over 7% in the years to come, sectors such as infrastructure and automobiles will receive a renewed thrust, which would further generate demand for power and steel in the country. This is expected to provide a major thrust to the demand of minerals like coal and bauxite.Minerals like manganese, lead, copper, alumina are expected to witness double digit growth in the years ahead. There is significant scope for new mining capacities in iron ore, bauxite, and coal.India has an advantage in the cost of production and in conversion costs of steel and alumina. Our strategic location allows convenient exports to developed and fast developing Asian markets.Increased infrastructure development and automotive production are driving growth in the metals and mining sector. In the Union Budget 2015 – 16, Ministry of Mines has been allocated ` 629.12 crore . With 100% FDI allowed in mining sector, and for exploration of metal and non-metal ores under the Automatic route, growth prospects for mining sector are bright. India has the 306.59 Billion Tonnes geological coal reserves as on April 2016. Production of coal stood at 447.48 Million Tonnes & 612.43 Million Tonnes in 2015-16 and 2014-157 , respectively.”[2]Exploration Activities- “GMDC continuously undertakes exploration activities within Gujarat for establishment of mineral reserves. These activities are aimed at serving two purposes. First, exploration is undertaken in allotted/ operational mines of GMDC to firmly establish the nature and quantum of reserves in the area to be mined in near future. Second, exploration activities are undertaken on behalf of Commissioner of Geology and Mining, Government of Gujarat, to establish mineral reserves within the state of Gujarat. The company has established 18 million tonnes of Lignite reserve in Mata-no- Madh area of Gujarat. GMDC undertakes exploration activities through tendering process. GMDC also has in-house team of experts which oversee the exploration activities as well as validates the findings of these activities.” [3]Other Income- Earnings included other income of 144 crores.Upcoming Projects- I Noticed here that Lignite plants are being set up which is beneficial because company derives its major part of revenue through lignite sales. This would be India 1st High Speed rail line. Please don't say Bullet train Project is brainchild of Congress, as Congress has opposed the project as they are still living in age of Socialism. No.[6]Foreign Diplomacy:Currency Swap deals: India has entered into currency swap deals with Japan and UAE which is going to reduce India dependency on US dollars , it is also going to provide stability to capital markets and foreign exchange rates.[7]Trade in local currencies: India and Russia are planning to do trade in local currencies. India will make payment in rupees to Iran for oil imports and 50% of that amount would be used by Iran for importing commodities like rice and medicines from India.[8]Defying US Sanctions: India has purchased S-400 missile system from Russia and agreed to import oil from Iran by going against US.China: China has started allowing export of Non Basmati Rice from India which was earlier not allowed. Doklam issue was also solved through Diplomacy.Chaabar Port: Narendra Modi signed pact with Iran to develop the chaabar port as it has strategic importance to India and India would be able to bypass Pakistan to transport goods to Afghanistan as Pakistan currently don't allow India to use his territory to export goods to Afghanistan.[9]Nuclear Suppliers Group and UN security Council: Germany, Spain, France and Russia agreed to support India NSG bid. [10]USA and France has also started supporting India membership claim to UN security Council.Deportation of fugitives: Christian Michael has been deported to India from UAE despite UK objections and also favourable order from UK court on Vijay Mall extradition to India. UK is same country which used to reject all extradition requests of India. Would Christian Michael have been extradited to India if Congress was in Power? No.Rescue of Indian from clutches of Islamic State:175 Indians including 46 nurses were rescued from war torn Iraq due to diplomatic efforts of present government.[11]All diplomatic efforts were leaded by our External Minister Sushma Swaraj .[12] NSA Ajit Doval personally went to Middle East to negotiate the release of Indians.India Bangladesh Enclaves: The exchange of enclaves which should have done at the time of Independence was finally done by Modi Government and it has finally ended agony of stateless people living in enclaves. This decision has also improved our relations with Bangladesh and security issues due to Bangladeshi enclaves in mainland India also get solved.International Day of Yoga: The whole world celebrate Yoga Day on 21st June. This was a big diplomatic win for India. Yoga Day signifies India Soft power.Other Achievements: Overall 90000+ Indians in distress have been rescued in last 4.5 years of Narendra Modi Government due to diplomatic efforts of Mrs. Sushma Swaraj and General(Rtd.) V.K. Singh. The NDA government had added 236 passport kendras to the 77 set up previous congress government.[13]The plan of present government is to open a Passport Seva Kendra in each parliament constituency.[14]One of best thing about present government is that they are accessible to common man of India. External Affairs Ministry is just a tweet away and even left portals have recognize efforts of Minister Sushma Swaraj.[15]National Security:Naxalite Activities: Incidents of Left-wing extremism were down 36.6 per cent from 6,524 in the period 2010-2013 to 4,136 between 2014-17. Deaths of civilians and security forces in LWE theaters fell 55.5 per cent from 2,428 to 1,081, while the number of Maoists eliminated rose from 445 to 510 in the corresponding period.[16]Terrorism: There are no terrorist attacks outside disturbed areas of North East India and Punjab. Compare this with previous government,when there were bomb blasts in cities like Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad,etc. How can you expect a safe India from Congress when mother of their president weeps tears on death of terrorists?Digvijay Singh advisor of Rahul Gandhi refer terrorist Osama Laden as Osama Ji. India also took revenge of Soldiers death in Uri by doing surgical strike in Pakistan in which 35–50 terrorists were killed . Compare this with Congress government which has done nothing after 26/11 attacks in Mumbai by Pakistan.Kashmir: Indian army has killed more then 200 Kashmiri terrorists this year which is highest since 2010 . Burhan wani son of Poor headmaster who was recruiting youth in Kashmir for Militancy is killed and his successor was also killed. In Kashmir, Congress leader is promising rewards for terrorist[17]Congress leader in Jammu and Kashmir Haji Sagheer Saeed Khan has announced Rs 1 crore reward to terror suspects in the state, the party is voted to powerHe also targeted BJP party saying that the a law will be passed against the BJP party leaders who have killed innocent people in the state and they will be hanged to death.Operation Rahaat: This was operation planned by Ministry of External affairs and Indian Armed forces to rescue Indians from Yemen and was commanded by General V.K. Singh(Retired).More then 4640 Indians and 960 Foreign nationals from 41 countries were rescued. General V.K. Singh was overseeing the operation from Djibouti city nearest port from Yemen.26 countries requested India to rescue their citizens from Yemen. This was a proud moment for Indians.Bullet Proof Jackets: Indian army requested bullet proof jackets in year 2009 but congress sit on army demand for 5 years. But present government has finally ordered bullet proof jackets in year 2018 and all jackets would be Made in India.[18]Fast tracking Aircraft Tejas Production: Indian Air force has to wait for 30 years for Tejas Aircraft. Present government fast tracked the production of Tejas Aircraft and finally in 2018 Indian Air force 30 years wait for LCA Tejas was over.[19]Rafale deal: India finally signed rafale deal with France to upgrade the depleting fleet of Air Force. Congress was seating for 10 years and didn’t do anything as they were waiting for kickbacks. Even Newly crowned Raja Harishchandra is still doing all efforts to block the deal as they have still not received their kickback.Infrastructure:-Nitin Gadkari is Star Performer of Present Government. He has successfully revived stalled road projects of over Rs 1 Lacs crores.Pace of Highway construction has increased more then double from 12 Km/day in Year 2014–15 to 28 Km/day in Year 2017–18. Target of Highway construction for year 2018–19 is 45 km/day.[20]Rural Road connectivity which was just 56% in 2014 is now 91%.Average Rural Road construction was 69 Km/day in 2013–14 is now 134 Km/day.More then 27,692 km has been added to National Highway Network.Bharatmala Project has been approved in 2016–17 whichj would add 84000 km of Road construction over 5 years.India 1st ever container movement in inland waterways has already started from Kolkata to Varanasi via Ganga River.[21] Foreign Funded Activists have already started protest to stop this Inland waterways Project. Transporting through inland waterways is very economical as in one litre of fuel 126 tonnes can be carried forward and its cost just 50 paise per km.1.07 million rural houses has been built under Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana-Grahmin in first 4 years of Modi Government.[22]43 ghosts airports has been made operational by Modi Govt. under Udan Scheme. 23 Tier II and Tier III cities have come up on Aviation map in just 13 months after launch of scheme. Maximum fare under this scheme is 2500/hour which has make it possible for middle class people to travel by flights.Solar energy has increased 8 times and wind energy capacity has increased by 16 times from 2014 level.[23]River Ganga:Water quality has started improving of River Ganga.
