Will blockchain discovery be a serendipitous discovery like Columbus discovering America and Alexander Fleming discovering Pencillin?

Although way out my area, I can only hope it does. I, like most, can fantasize doing business without Bankers and strict controlling by government intrusions. To avoid taxes and operate with no public knowledge is too exciting to contemplate. In an attempt to sweep away my naivety, is it possible to “bower” Bitcoins? As far as I’m concerned, credit could be a deal-breaker. Credit, as me know, requires collateral, signatures, contracts, and performance. Of course, there would need “regulations” and the like to “protect” all parties involved. Before you know it, such attention would create another cesspool like the one we participate with now. Taxes and interest, more taxes and interest, etc. I envision another government entity that resembles the IRS. Bitcoin hoarders and possible future private “families” like the Rothchilds, given the power to “make” Bitcoins out of thin air.In other words, creating what we now see with the current currency. After all, It’s obvious the next announcement will be the elimination of cash and replace with computer credits.See. now I’ve exposed my ignorance. So far, I considered such “talk” as nothing more than a recent fad. Therefore, my questions above may already been solved beyond my knowledge. If so, maybe someone can explain it to me. If not, I may have to research it. That, I don’t matter. It’s just another “thing” to explore. But a “heads-up” would be nice…lol.Could there be another Bitcoin Credit Union in the future?….lolol

What are the best arguments against libertarian socialism?

Okay so I think some concepts need to be clarified before I dive in:You can be invested in the concept of non-aggression without extending it to the worship of private property. This is a difficult hurdle for right-libertarians to make, but from a left-libertarian perspective a pervasiveness of private property is extraordinarily tyrannical. For example: an arbitrary and capricious privilege such as the Homestead Act perpetuated the exclusion of all other citizens from access or use…regardless of whether that land’s use actually benefited anyone but the homesteader. Just think about that for a minute. When walking down a city street or even through the countryside, aren’t the vast majority of people’s liberties profoundly restricted by all the private property they are not allowed to access…? And how is all that private property contributing to civil society?Making a transition from private property to a commons or community-centric model need not involve forced expropriation. It can be voluntary…even joyous. But why would anyone whose wealth consists of private ownership want to voluntarily give any of it back? It actually happens all the time. It’s called philanthropy. And philanthropy can be encouraged any number of ways…through tax benefits, through expansion of social capital, through voluntary conversion to a belilef system that values charity above greed, through a shift to more collective social mores, etc. There are really countless ways to achieve this end that are not coercive…it will just take time.Socialism is not Statism, and need not be centralized or authoritarian. These are broadly held misconceptions. There have been plentiful socialist proposals throughout history that are minarchist or anarchist, and don’t at all take the shape of an authoritative welfare state. Most of these would be categorized as libertarian socialist. There is strong evidence that many elements of libertarian socialist proposals actually work “in the real world.” Canadian Credit Unions. Semi-direct democracy in Switzerland. The Mondragon Corporation. Elinor Ostrom’s nobel-prize-winning research on common pool resource management. Thriving Open Source solutions. Small scale cooperatives. Community NGOs and activism. State-level popular initiatives in the U.S. Community Land Trusts and Community Development Corporations. And the list goes on….“Economic freedom” that does not account for negative externalities and deleterious impacts to individual freedoms of others (workers, consumers, fellow citizens, etc.) is no different than someone detonating a nuclear bomb in a populated area to make some space for their enterprise: it’s the height of myopic, narcissistic stupidity, and not freedom at all. This is an extreme analogy, to be sure, but any concept of negative liberty that creates conditions consistently interfering with the liberty of others is not tenable as a foundation for civil society over the long run. This is what right-libertarians fail to comprehend when they envision a minarchist or anarchist expansion of corporatocracy.Okay…now that I’ve covered the basics, here is my best argument against libertarian socialism: it seems to be extremely challenging to communicate the fundamentals of libertarian socialism in ways that everyone can easily understand. There are so many misconceptions, so much neoliberal propaganda to wade through, so many misguided assertions (such as the all-too-common “libertarian socialism is an oxymoron”), and so few articulate proponents (sorry Noam…!) that the biggest hurdle is simply helping people understand it. And I think that’s a valid criticism. That is why I’m trying to put together a website that aims to help folks see how all the pieces of one particular vision go together, answers a lot of basic questions, and addresses some of the more persistent concerns from the pro-capitalist camp. Here is it’s current iteration: Level 7 Overview. The next step? Perhaps some campy, colorful infographics or 30-second animated videos…? (sigh)My 2 cents.

Can we live a peaceful life without tons of money?

We already have a Blueprint for the Future Envisioned by Gene Roddenberry it is called Star Trek if you stay in The Federation you do not need money. Watch the Next Generation Episode “The Neutral Zone” last episode of the 1st season when Picard talks to Mr. Offenhouse that explains most of it. The reason we have it so the secret society can keep there control. The Credit Unions Wallstreet etc… their control.
