I can help in giving a layout/template in general for an Anatomy answer. I would not re-repeat the gross anatomy pattern as mentioned in all the other answers.Definition/introduction. A small line of history/discovery would not be bad.Start with gross anatomy, the headings of which are mentioned in above and below answers. Donot forget diagrams. They need not be textbook diagrams. Understandable diagrams are sufficient. Relations are very important.Donot forget about Histology(where ever applicable)Embrology(wherever applicable)Osteology(whereever applicable)Clinical application/Comparison between normal and abnormal.People write in detail about gross anatomy but often forget about Histology, Embryology and Osteology.The above answers have already mentioned a lot about writing gross anatomy.I cannot emphasise more about drawing diagrams. Even if you don't have time to write in sentence, a diagram is sufficient.A diagram must have the following:-Heading/what it is aboutLabelling. Brown- Muscle, Red- Artery, Blue- Vein, Yellow- Nerve, Green- FasciaRelevant applicable clinical anatomy.Practice is the key to score more in anatomy. Practicing diagrams every day, any diagram(better if you follow class schedule), is sufficient to score good marks.
