Is your cat sleeping up against you? Cats sometimes like to to spoon, use their person as a form-fitting support and warming pad. Take it as a compliment, and a statement of great trust. I can’t say it enough, how much everything a cat does is purely from an instinctual point of survival, developed over thousands of years evolving in desert climates, There is cat logic/survival logic in everything they do.They don’t consciously think in words:, “i’m going to do this”, they just do it, like when you turn over to sleep in whatever position feels best to fall asleep, without planning it. Cats’ whole lives flow in this way. (This is what’s meant by being in the flow; by instinct) There’s no purer form of guidance.I think our lives would be better in some ways if we had this kind of orientation to the world, and if it was much more safe.

They advised us in writing in September 2019 that the trade could continue. We shared the Commission’s view and worked with the industry on that basis. This included explaining that for one small part of the industry – wild harvested molluscs from Class B waters – there would need to be a pause while we awaited a new Export Health Certificate to become available in April but that in line with the guidance from the EU trade in the molluscs from farms could continue uninterrupted.We continue to believe that our interpretation of the law and the EU’s original interpretation is correct and that the trade should be able to continue for all relevant molluscs from April. And there is no reason for a gap at all for molluscs from aquaculture.However, last week, the Commission gave us sight of instructions they had sent to all Member States on 3 February stating that any imports into the EU from the UK of Live Bivalve Molluscs for purification from Class B waters, such as the sea around Wales and the South West of England, are not permitted. Exports from Class A waters, such as we find around parts of Scotland, may continue.So unless the environment minister is directly lying to Parliament about what the European commission said, in writing, the EU’s position seems strange- unless, of course, it is acting in a petty and vindictive fashion…

Savvy people can understand why Democrats oppose a merit based system. It was also slammed by some conservative groups, which decried the expansion of “amnesty” for illegal immigrants.The head of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Democratic Representative Michelle Lujan Grisham, said the Trump plan used Dreamers as “bargaining chips for sweeping anti-immigrant policies.”Early reaction from Republicans in the Senate - where the plan may receive a vote in early February - was positive. Conservative Republican Senator Tom Cotton called the plan “generous and humane, while also being responsible.” Republicans narrowly control the chamber by 51-49 and need Democratic votes to pass legislation.The fight over protections for Dreamers, which are set to expire in March, was part of the standoff between Republicans and Democrats in the Senate that resulted in a three-day government shutdown that ended on Monday.They agreed to extend funding until Feb. 8, leaving a small window to come to a deal on immigration. Trump’s plan will help provide guidance for those talks, Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said in a statement.Negotiations will be tough. Only 35 percent of Americans did not agree.Nearly 70 percent of Americans oppose the visa lottery which allows immigrants to be picked at random for entry into the country.In fact, nearly 80 percent of Americans believe that immigration should be based on merit and skills, not just family ties.Even more interesting, the poll shows that 60 percent of Americans believe that even if dreamers are allowed to stay, they should not be given preference to bring relatives to the United States.When faced with a choice, nearly 80 percent want secure borders rather than open borders.
