I have an untested theory about INFP. I’m just gonna toss it out here and if INFP’s can help me out I’d be greatful.I’m busy forming the opinion that INFP’s display a non-identity. I mean this in the nicesest King Arthur round table type way. The idea I’m testing is that INFP’s are world inclusive thinkers, or people that fundamentally believe that the whole world is their family.So with that hypothesis in mind. Could INFP’s really lose themselves in others to the point where they are drawn out of existence? In doing so they lose focus on their moral values and round-table responsibilities and crash mentally and emotionally? It seems as if INFP’s are sucked into a world of self-serving or practical types and it drains their soul to the extent that they emotionally flatline.Let me know what you think.

I was working second shift at a small business-forms printer in the mid-1990s, and I was using my vacation days one day a week to take a class at a local college. One of the other workers in the company told the owner I was “taking a day off” each week to take a class. The owner called me into his office and told me he was laying me off because I was “taking a day off” each week for a class. When I told him I was using my earned vacation days to take the class and not just “taking a day off” each week, he got a shocked look on his face as if he had just been shot. He realized he had been misinformed, but it was too late for him to take back what he had just said to me, so he laid me off anyway. Basically, he fired me even though I was legally using my vacation days for the day I was taking off each week. I had never taken unemployment in my life, but I sure did this time on principle. The owner tried to fight it all the way—the state-level unemployment-insurance tax rate an employer pays is based on its track record for keeping workers employed—and, at the hearings at the unemployment office each time he requested one, the hearing officer told him, in so many words, “Yeah, dude, get out of here.” I think he kept hoping I wouldn’t show up for those hearings because, if I didn’t show up for a hearing, I would no longer get my unemployment benefit, and, therefore, I wouldn’t count against him as a worker he caused to be unemployed and cause his unemployment-insurance tax rate to go up.

When we are dealing with humans who are the most unpredictable creature ever existed to our knowledge. background plays a crucial role in determining someone’s future (not in absolute terms).
