I have given a small picture about those below.MAINTENANCE:Maintenance AEs have to maintain the SS which are at 132,220,400 kV level.If any Emergency/Breakdown occurs,he has to attend it as soon as possible. Generally Maintenance AEs are instructed to stay in the same town in which SS is located. He is responsible to do regular maintenance works of equipments.Total responsibility of SS is upon him.LINES:Lines AEs have to maintain the lines under particular Sub-Divison.General duties are ground patrolling,Fault finding,Disc replacement,Vibration damper replacement,Providing Bird guards,Ensuring no trees under ROW corridor.There will be pre monsoon inspection in Dec-March.There will be a CBD Gang of 10 members under AE.We need to get the work done by them.A vehicle will be provided to us.This wing is mostly of field type in which you have to walk tens of kilometers along our EHT lines.MRT (Metering,Relaying and Testing):If you are posted in MRT,you are the luckiest because You have a lot of scope to learn the subject. You have a great opportunity to explore all the equipments in detail.These AEs are posted at District Headquarters. The working timings are Work Dependent.MRT AEs get a lot of respect in department.All testings are done by them.Periodical tests of equipments of all SS are done by them.Construction:All the construction works(SS&Lines) of TSTRANSCO are executed by them. You are the work executing official at field from Transco. You need a lot of managerial skills apart from technical knowledge because you are in direct contact with farmers,other departments,contractors. You will become strong if you work in this wing. There will be no fixed timings.One must have idea regarding constructional aspects to work effectively at higher cadres.TRE (Transformers Repair and Erection):As the name suggests,Repairing of Existing TFs and Erection of new TFs will be done by TRE AE.You get firm grip on TFs and other auxiliary equipment.Technical:This is purely office job.Mostly(Not All) it is given to Ladies.All the paperwork will be done by them. The Estimate Sanctions,PO, Agreements, Information gathering etc will be done by them.There are AE/Technicals in DE SE CE LIS offices. You get good idea about paper work,SAP. You can become expert in drafting You get to know about all the rules and policies of the organization.HOTLINES:These AEs work on live lines.You get a hotlines allowance which makes a good percentage of your salary. You will be posted in this only if you are interested.LIS:This wing is created to execute all the lift Irrigation schemes proposed by the state government.LIS is similar to construction.But the construction of SS&Lines will be in accordance with the Lift Irrigation Projects proposed by state government.CIVIL:All the civil works are done by them.TELECOM:All the Telecom works are done by them.SLDC:This is like Heart of Transco. Load-Generation balance will be taken care here. They monitor 24*7 in Various shifts.CTI:There will be maintenance and training AEs working at CTI. They have to look after all the training programs organised at CTI.STORES:Deals with equipment,material storage and movement from Headquarters to field.Apart from these, there are other departments in Vidyuth Soudha like IT,EBC,Planning, Procurement,Scada etc..
