Regions Direct Deposit: Fill & Download for Free

This is a good question. But I can only answer this question based on my region. Here in the Mid Atlantic instacart in-store shoppers get paid on a weekly pay period. Direct deposit is distributed on a Friday. If direct deposit is not setup, then checks are mailed out to you on Friday. Try to get direct deposit if possible, I have heard how some of my colleagues loathe waiting for the paper checks to get mailed to them.

It looks exactly like the paychecks I received as a waiter, a grocery store clerk, a cop and paramedic. Except there are more numbers in front of the decimal point. And, of course it is direct deposit.Surgeons in the United States earn a broad range from around $200k per year on the low end to north of $500k at the other end depending upon the type of practice and number of procedures performed. ER physician compensation is a bit more complicated. It can be as simple as a straight dollar per hour arrangement or as complex as something tied to productivity or quality metrics or a shared revenue sort of situation. Then, there is a big difference depending upon what part of the country you happen to living in. Most ER doctors work about 144 hours per month though I have known a number that work 120 or less and I have worked 180 to 210 per month for months at a time when we were short handed. The range in compensation for a full time ER physician is somewhere between $225k and $450k per year depending upon region (TX is highest compensated state in the US) and type of plan. Rural and semi-rural sites tend to pay a little bit more than large cites. The mean ER physician income in 2020 in large cites and medium size cities in the US was around $330,000. Pay was about $20k more in rural sites.Back to my paramedic paychecks… I recall very clearly in the early 1990’s my goal was to try to work enough overtime that my net pay for two weeks would be greater than $1,000. We worked 24 hour shifts and about ten per month. I would add three or four extra shifts per month and even with all of that, I never achieved that goal. Now, I get we are talking about 1992 dollars here so keep that in mind. I was able to buy a home with my wife who was a full time RN and save some money for retirement and had a very nice lifestyle. Six years later and I am moonlighting my first shift as an emergency physician. I earned just over $1,000 in twelve hours. When I saw that first moonlighting paycheck I literally became tearful. I have worked much harder in my life at any number of jobs and made far less money. It brings up a number of complex societal issues such as fairness, value of work product and education. I grapple with those thoughts all the time. I can tell you that I have tried very, very hard to never take it for granted, share my blessings and remember what all my other paychecks looked like before that one.

In my case, I traveled ahead of my family by 8 months.In my old home we used a regional bank that had maybe a dozen branches in two counties.After I moved, I opened an account in my wife and my name at a bank with branches all over the country and direct deposited my checks there.When that months bills were paid, my wife transferred everything else to the same bank but at a branch 1200 miles away.Then we closed the old account and did everything from the ‘national’ bank.It is much easier to pool the resources when there is only one pool.
