What makes the Quran a "miracle"?

There are certain effects of the Quran, or Read in Arabic, that makes it a miracle. Some of these effects in my opinion are:1. Unprecedented circulation: since 656 AC, millions copies of the Quran have been printed, translated to many languages all over the world more than any other book. In the past twenty years, 128 million copies by a single printing source [1].2. Unlimited audiences: Literate and the illiterate audiences, mature and immature, Arabs and Non-Arabs, ancient and modern societies can read and understand it.3. The mother of knowledge: it covers every aspect of science, medicine, humanities, literature, etc. not necessarily in depth.4. Tremendous motivation: it urges readers to dig deep into science to get closer and closer to the truth. In Chapter (Surah) Fatir, Originator, (35:28), Allah (God) said: “It is only those who has knowledge among his people that fear Allah.” Muslim scholars in the past centuries have contributed to the advancement of classical Astronomy, Chemistry, Algebra, medicine and surgery, citations, epistemology, disproving claims methods, instrumentation, optics, etc. Avicenna (980–1037) created methods of agreement, difference, and concomitant variation that lay the basis of inductive logic [5]. Al-Kindos (805–873), Al-Farabi (873–950), Ibn al-Haytham (965-1030), Ibn Hazm, (994–1064), Al-Ghazali (1058–1111), Al-Razi (1149), Averroes (1126–1198), etc. laid the basis for present technological advances.5. Marvelous resistance: in year 1200 A.D., the Mongols invaded Baghdad and threw all their books from libraries into the Tigris River in such quantities that the river ran black with ink [2]. They intended to destroy the books (mainly the Quran) and eradicate Islam [2]. Muslim books normally begin with a heading: “in the name of God, the compassionate, the merciful,” in reference to the heading of every Surah in the Quran, yet the Quran survived its imminent devastation.6. Robust foundation: during the tenth century, the number of schools that teach the Quran have reached 300 schools in Baghdad only; and the number of students in Alexandria, Egypt, was 12,000 during the fourteenth century [6]. Specialized colleges in Quranic Reading, Daawah, Shariah were established in Al Azhar University in Egypt founded in 970 A.D. and Madina Islamic University in Saudi Arabia founded in 1961 A.D. [3,4] and many others around the world.7. Social aspiration: throughout Islamic states, the graduates spread the culture of justice and fraternity to improve the morality and attitudes of individuals and the communities. People conceivably have observed the verses (Ayahs) of the Quran and distribute social welfare equally. As a result, there was no historical records of visibly poor, needy, or homeless in the society. It was impossible to find a prostitution house or drug-addicted victims in the streets. It was also impossible to find terrifying thieves unless they were willing to lose their hands. Subsequently, the rate of crimes, rapes, and abuse had no place in that Islamic society. When an individual realizes that a harsh punishment is awaiting his wrongdoing and that God will lavish him enormous rewarding for his abstention, he will definitely refrain from committing the slightest mistake. The Quran treats social problems from its root to avoid leaks of undesired consequences. For example, to completely stop harassing women, the Hijab (women body cover), was commanded by God in the Quran. Furthermore, the graduates practiced a preaching role that boost the morale of people by using selective Ayahs from the Quran particularly in times of conflicts. The battle of Ein Jalut is an evidence of their preaching effect that initiated a swift victory over the Mongol army in 1260 A.D. only sixty years after their invasion of Baghdad.8. Logical human rights: each provision of Sharia law (jurisdiction) in the Quran has provided equal rights to every person for centuries. Non-Muslims have begun to abandon their conventional ones and adopt some laws not much different from the Quranic laws. For example, the inheritance law of old France granted few rights to the surviving spouse in absence of a well [7]. After the French revolution in 1789, a new law had assured the spouse use (not the ownership) of a quarter of the descendant's estate [7]. The Quran mentioned in Surah An Nisa, or the Women, (4:12): “…and to the women is a fourth of what you leave behind, if you do not have any child; or if you have a child then an eighth of what you leave behind, after any will you may have made, or debt to be paid.” The laws of the Quran are fair enough for every generation and do not change in the same way as the Civil Code’s provisions. If the Quran provision happen to be changed for any reason, it will lose its truthfulness.9. Unchangeable: amendment of the Quran is impossible to achieve. This is simply because the Quran is preserved until the end of the world as mentioned in Surah Al-Hijr, or the Stone-land, (15:9): “Indeed it is We who have sent down the reminder (the Quran), and indeed it is Us who shall preserve it.” Muslims can easily memorize the Quran and detect minor changes to it. In fact, God promised those who memorize the Quran and observe its implications a satisfactory life and a special rank in heaven as well. It is uneasy to alter its rhythmic nature and violate its poetic rules. A simple Bedouin (Nomad) once heard Al Asmai (740–828), an Arab lexicographer, reciting a verse from the Quran in a gathering; Surah Al-Maida, the Table, (5:38): “ the thief, the male and female, amputate their hands in recompense for what they committed as a deterrent (punishment) from Allah. And Allah is Exhalted in Forgiving and Mercy.” The Nomad shouted at Al Asmai by telling him that was not the word of God! Al-Asmai was embarrassed and asked him if he memorized the Quran, but the man said: “No.” He corrected him as: “And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.” He explained that Allah was supreme who judged in wisdom so he ordered amputation, but if He was forgiving and merciful in that context, he would not have ordered amputation.10. Literal perfectness: the Arabs were proud of their language and Makkah was the center of Arabic poetry. It used to embrace an annual festival that brought together the best poets from all over the Arabian Peninsula [8]. It was the house of Quraish tribe, an elite Arab, from whom the Prophet Mohammad have descended. As the head of the festival judgement commission, Al Waleed bin Almughira, a bitter enemy of Mohammad pbuh (peace be upon him), gave his impression about the literal proficiency and efficiency of the Quran when he listened to few Ayahs. He replied to his followers: “And what can I possibly say? There is not a single man who is more knowledgeable of poetry or prose than I, or even that of the Jinn, and by Allah, what he says bears no resemblance to these things. By Allah, what he says has a sweetness to it, and a charm upon it; the highest part of it is fruitful and the lowest part of it is gushing forth with bounty; it dominates and cannot be dominated, and it crushes all that is under it."11. Ability to tell hidden events: if the people of Quraish in Makkah were mostly concerned about the Quran literal value, the Jews in Al-Madina (Yathrib) were concerned about the authenticity of Mohammad pbuh. They passed some questions to Quraish about unseen events in the past. They asked him about the People of the Cave (the Seven Sleepers, 250 AD), about a man who traveled the earth from east to west, Dhul-qurnain (Alexandar the Great 356–323 BC), and about the soul [9]. The Prophet pbuh had answered their inquiries and many others upon receiving a revelation through the Angle Gabriel. The Jews confirmed the legitimacy of His answers. The Quran has explicitly mentioned these events in Surah Al-Kahf, or the Cave, (18:9 and 18:83) and in Surah ِAl-Isra (17:85). The Prophet pbuh had no library or scholars to assist him.12. Ability to predict future events: Surah Ar-room, or the Romans, (30:2) predicted the defeat of the Byzantine army (614 AD) by the Sasanians of persia near the dead Sea several years before it happened [12, 13]. Surah Al-Qamar, or the Moon, (54:45) predicted victory of the Prophet pbuh over Quraish in the first battle in Islam, known as Badr, before it began in March 13, 624 with an army of one third of their enemy [10, 11]. Surah Al-Fath (48:27) anticipated that the Prophet pbuh would take over Makkah, Al-Masjid Al-Haram (the Sacred Mosque) from Quraish in January 11, 630 [14]. And, many other crucial events had been predicted and confirmed.13. Irreversible foreseen destiny: Among those individuals was one of the Prophet pbuh bitter enemies, his uncle, named Abu-Lahab (the Father of Flame) [15]. Whenever Abu-Lahab used to see someone speak to the Prophet pbuh, he followed that person and asked him to oppose whatever the Prophet pbuh said to him. While the Prophet pbuh was addressing Quraish at Al-Safa at the Sacred Mosque, he was interrupted by Abu-Lahab who cried: “Perish be you... Did you gather us just for this?” The fate of Abu-Lahab was revealed in Surah Abu-Lahab (111:1–5) stating: “Perished be the hands of Abu Lahab and ruined he be. Neither his wealth nor what he has earned shall avail him. He shall shortly roast in a flaming fire…” Abu-Lahab had a chance to accept Islam and refuted the Quran, but his destiny was irreversible after the Quran announced it ten years before his death [16].14. Ability to predict destiny of nations: the future destiny of Bani Israel (the Jews) was mentioned explicitly in Surah Al-Isra, or the Nighty Journey of the Prophet pbuh to Jerusalem, (17:4- 7, and 104). God said in the Quran “And We decreed for the Children of Israel in the scripture: Ye verily will work corruption in the earth twice, and ye will become great tyrants.” The first promise was during King Solomon. The second promise was forecasted as: “Then we gave you once again your turn against them, and We aided you with wealth and children and made you more in soldiery.” God fulfilled his promise on June 25, 1967 when Jerusalem was taken from the Muslims. Then, the Quran mention: “So when the last promise (that of your last mischief-making) comes, that they (referring to Muslims) may darken your faces and that they may enter the Masjid (the Mosque in Jerusalem) as they entered it the first time (during the Caliph Omar), and that they might destroy whatever they gained ascendancy over with utter destruction;”and “but when the last of the warnings came to pass, We gathered you (Bani Israel) together in a mingled crowd.” The last prediction in this Surah (17:7 and 104) has not been achieved, yet.15. Ability to predict future of humanity: Surah Annur, or the Light, (24:55) God promised that only righteous believers among Muslims of any nation will succeed on this earth just as those before them and that He would surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, if they worship Him, not associating anything with Him.16. Prevailing capability: Nowadays, the Quran has prevailed and entered every house through the media, internet, or by technological means. Who could believe that Non-Muslim presidents, politicians, scholars, students, actors, etc. began to obtain a copy of the Quran? As the charges against Muslims escalate, more non-Muslims are turned to the Quran to read it for the purpose to understand Islam. Some people began to think seriously to convert to Islam by just reading, listening, interpreting its logical meanings, and witnessing its countless miracles. Others have found that it answered their hanged questions and their views become clearer after being atheist.17. Listening power over people: By just listening to the words of the Quran, Non-Arab speaking people showed attraction and appeal to it. Recently, a group of Muslim youths have experimented the reaction of a sample pedestrians from different backgrounds by asking them to listen to some excerpts from the Quran. By not telling them that it was a Quranic recitation, the people expressed their feelings as being solemn, absolute comfort, peaceful minds, or travelling soul to another world [17]. Another experiment was carried out by letting a crying and annoyed infant to hear a loud recitation from the Quran. It was found that the infant felt quite, stopped crying and it began to cry once the Quran recitation wad replaced by music [18].18. Listening power over water: Masaru Emoto, a Japanese Professor, exposed water samples to positive speech and found that it formed visually pleasing crystals when it was frozen slowly [19]. He further exposed the water to a recitation from the Quran and observed that the shape of the of water particles became fantastically beautiful [20, 21]. He experimented a spiritual water taken from a well inside the Holy Mosque in Makkah, known as Zamzam that was gushed under the feet of Ishmael, Prophet Abraham son pbut (peace be upon them), and has amazingly continued to discharge water for 4000 years ago until today [22]. He played some Quranic verses from a tape recorder and found the most perfect shape of the Zamzam crystals [23]. And when he played the 99 names of God, or Allah, he noticed a unique shape for each name [24]. Scientists from Germany and other countries have supported and expanded Emoto works by experimenting water. They proofed that water has memory and energy and that Zamzam provided positive energy [25].19. Healing abilities: according to Dr. Michelle Heben, who publishes health benefit articles in the internet, listening to the Quran brings 14 health benefits for mental treatment (regardless of their language) [26]. They range from promoting capabilities to boosting immune systems of the brain. In addition, some people have published articles of their personal experience of the curing benefits (such as quit smoking) they received as they kept listening to recitation of the Quran [27]. Muslims have been listening to the Quran at home, at works, during travel, and in immaculate places. It is worth asking how much power that one can get if he or she read it, memorize it, and apply it with sincerity. The Quran answer is a permanent glow of light is attached to him.20. Unbiased: the Quran conveyed blame messages to its custodian, the Prophet pbuh, for small mistakes he committed at specific events but in a friendly manner. If the Prophet wrote the Quran, would he blame himself for any negligence? Almost all writers do not criticize themselves in their books except the Quran that favor the truth only. Similarly, the Quran conveyed messages of warning to Muslims once their faith thermometer began to decline. This is evidenced when they lost wars, welfare, and peace through history even during the life of the Prophet pbuh.21. Calling power: the Quran is full of verses that urge humanity to worship only one God as a form of gratitude to Him in return of His endowing them a free healthy, security, and comfort. It advised the oppressed desperate, the poor, the sick, the women, the servants, and the like to ask God (only) to overcome their deadly crises rather than committing suicides or harming others; but not to surrender to evil. It requests the calm folks, the rich, the healthy, the men, the masters, and the like to turn their attention to those in need of assistance and nice treatment to bring joy, balance and order on earth. Its strict provisions are needed sometimes to protect the needy people and preserve their dignities and values in the society so they do not lose their properties rights or their lives (e.g. the police resort to deadly force sometimes to restore order). The Quran has been repeating its call to humanity by reminding them that they deserve to live in a planet full of equality, freedom, and peace. This coincides with the call of every Prophet. It seems that if the Quran is indeed the last call of God, then it carries this call on their behalf. Thus, no extra Prophet is needed in the future to tell people of extra demands that nullifies the Quran prominence. Its insisting power to reach people all over the continents and be read by Non-Muslims have amazed its offenders, critics and attackers. The Quran reminds every person that there is a chance before his imminent death that if he accepts the true word of God and reads at least one verse, it will intercede with God not to let him face torment as long as that verse is left in his heart. It defends people from birth to grave. This is unforeseen miracle but it seems realistic.Sources:King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran - WikipediaThe Mongol Invasion and the Destruction of BaghdadAl-Azhar University - WikipediaIslamic University of Madinah - WikipediaIslamic philosophy - WikipediaIslamic CivilizationFrance: Inheritance Laws in the 19th and 20th CenturiesHow Do We Know the Quran is Unchanged?Seven Sleepers - WikipediaBattle of Badr - WikipediaGreater Battle of BadrSasanian conquest of Jerusalem - WikipediaSurah Ar-Rum prophecyConquest of Mecca - WikipediaAbū Lahab - WikipediaAbu Lahab, enemy of Islam, meets his fate18.19. Should the reservation on cast basis be removed permanently?

A2AA general observation:Almost all People have divided opinion on the question of reservation of any sort, given their own prejudices, biases and personal experiences. This makes objective analysis difficult on this issue. The response to the above question is classified into1 Yes,2No,3 any other option such as 'Yes but it needs modifications'.To address Indian reservation situation, we need to look at this objectively keeping personal biases at bay.Historical Background Record:Word reservation is nowhere mentioned in the constitution. But the origin of reservation is derived from--article 15 (4) (for education) and article 16 (4) (for state employment), which are meant for special provisions for advancement by state in favour of any socially and educationally backward classes of citizens (Article 15 (4)) and any backward class citizens if they are inadequately represented in government services (Article 16 (4)).These provisions form basis for reservation.Soon after adoption of the constitution was realised that Indian society is very much unequal and exploitative so more action is needed to correct social situation. This way, with first amendment in 1951, special consideration was given to the oppressed communities with inclusion of words like scheduled castes and scheduled tribes in article 15 (4) ( so originally these words were not there, although SC and ST were mentioned elsewhere in the constitution).Even after reservation to SC and ST, indian societal situation was still far from perfect, and under constitution state is duty bound to make provisions for backward classes as mentioned in article 15 and 16. Such, action by state becomes necessary because article 15 and 16 are part of fundamental rights unlike directive principles where state can afford to ignore its duties. So, under Mandal Commission award state created a single class category called Other Backward Class (OBC) to classify castes which are socially or educationally or economically disadvantaged besides other classifications of scheduled castes (SC) and Scheduled tribes (ST).Now, coming back to question whether reservation should be removed-one needs to answer few other questions such as-* constitution was founded on high ideals like justice, equality, liberty, dignity,etc... have we achieved these goals for all? if not-*what alternative solution to the population will you offer if you do away with present system?*nothing exists in isolation, not even nations, do you know any alternative model to replicate from other countries? if yes-*does that country has similar diversity and challenges like ours to copy such model to suit our needs?*do you have any extraordinary indigenous idea which can stand most tests (if not all) of fairness and is it practically applicable? There can be list of such questions to think before we get rid of reservation system.Let's assume, our unanimous answer is yes.OK. What's next?put a new system based based on talent and merit, basically meritocracy, that's the obvious answer. Is meritocracy fair system to advocate for? Those people who advocate for merit based systems seem blind to the dark sides of meritocracy. No idea is sacred. Everything comes with merits, demerits and shelf life. There is truckload of literature available on criticism of meritocracy.*Meritocracy: the great delusion that ingrains inequality | Jo Littler*Meritocracy myth: The rich will always get richer and the poor willThese are only two such samples of criticism.Someone interested can look for more on internet.some people are more considerate of need for reservation but voice for changed criteria such economic criteria instead of caste criteria. Here, people often make mistake, they disregard constitution.our constitution offers reservation to group of tribes,ST, which compete among themselves first and later with others, before claiming any seat.our constitution also offers reservation to historically oppressed group of castes, SC, which compete among themselves first and later with others, before claiming any seat.our constitution also offers reservation to castes which are socially or educationally or economically disadvantaged identified and merged into single class, Other Backward Class (OBC), which compete among themselves first and later with others, before claiming any seat.yet again, still, there is provision for special treatment to any socially and educationally backward classes of citizens (Article 15 (4)) and any backward class citizens for public employment in case of inadequate employment (Article 16(4)).Now, that's inclusiveness and constitutional action to establish equity.supporters of economic criteria often fail to understand that-firstly, economic status can change overtime in a lifetime of humans, like sensex. Do you know anyone whose caste or tribe changed any single time? with some castes and tribes there is stigma of backwardness. Because these identities are permanent stigma is permanent too.secondly, cutoff (creamylayer) for identification for income based reservation is difficult, because sporadic nature of income for the majority who are employed in informal sector.thirdly, have you ever come across any of your friend from OBC category who self-confessed regarding fake caste and creamylayer certificate? Its difficult to monitor income level frauds.finally, most of the economic world order is based of capitalism and there is huge inequality of wealth and income among masses, yet we do not find any example of income based reservation from any of 200+ countries of the world.Plight of economically poor is visible and real. But that does not necessarily make case of reservation for them solely on this basis. Rather, remedy to their situation is based on fulfilling state duties under directive principles of the constitution. Their redressal lies in free education, health, justice and provision of economic support in the form of subsidiaries. Some people advocate for removal of quota based reservation and shift towards special consideration for marginalised in the admission and recruitment process similar to US reservation system. If we adopt such process,it may result in complete nullification of reservation policy. In India, favoratism and nepotism is rampant. Even judiciary is not spared from this vice. Representation of marginalised section at top hierarchy offices both in administration and judiciary is nowhere proportional its population. In fact, it is abysmally low. We simply cannot think any reservation model without quota. We are not ready for such move.so is caste based reservation is justified?some people are ok with this but argue that there should be correction because elite and rich take benefits rather than intended beneficiaries, this makes reservation policy ineffective. These people suggest that there should be creamylayer in SC and ST too similar to OBC.There are many flaws with the above argument.firstly, OBC is class based reservation different from caste based SC and tribe based ST reservation. Thus economic criteria like creamylayer is not applicable for SC and ST.secondly, even if we apply it by some constitutional amendment, effectiveness of such measure debatable. It is alleged that Creamylayer frauds are rampant for OBC category reservation. What makes you think that this will not happen in SC and ST if creamylayer is introduced to them.finally, economy of such measure. Reservation is provided for government sector alone, whose share in total jobs is very less. Total population of SC and ST together stands around 24%. How much percent of it is rich and uplifted? Pro reservation people argue that reservation policy in last 70 years is implemented poorely without much heart into it.Is it economically viable and cost effective to implement creamylayer in SC/ST? If yes, what will be the cost on government treasury if people from SC/ST go on challenging these creamylayer income levels in courts or tribunals.any society or community works through matrix of networks among itself. Same is true for SC/ST.Smooth functioning of community is possible only when its organic and homogeneous (This is the reason for success of parsis and jain community). Provision of creamylayer in SC/ST may divide the interests of this community and may cause more harm than good to this community which is oppressed for thousands of years. Those who already gained some intellect, wealth and status with or without the help of reservation within its community and outside it, if they are separated from the masses in the community, it may handicap the whole community and all the gains may be lost (close yet imperfect analogy to it can be surat split of congress in 1907).If some uplifted section of this community is continuously benefitting from reservation, then don't you think that the voice of opposition should come the community within itself in a democratic fashion. Its obvious that, fellow members in the community and relatives of a uplifted family would raise objections and demand for their turn to benefit from reservation by asking their kin to step down. If such informal gesture fails then, the oppressed within the community may unite against the uplifted within the community leading to legal and political struggle. We don't find such battles in courtrooms or in politics as of now.Nothing is permanent. Same is true for the caste based reservation system. As Indian society develops and progresses into a egalitarian society and the benefits of such development reaches to all especially those who are reserved. Reservation policy can be more systematically considered wheather to restructure it or abolish it. Are we there?I don't believe in utopia. I think, at any point of time in near or far future, there will always be some section of population, who will lag behind the rest. Such section qualifies for backwardness and deserves special provisions for them, ofcourse such action is possible only if there is enabling provision for the same at that point of time.At present, still caste continues to be defining characteristic of indian society ( race and ethnicity are significant to other parts of the world). So it becomes obvious that so long as the caste based identities remain functional and significant, caste based reservation shall prevail. How to make a dent?In history many towering social reformers have tried to remove the disabilities of caste system and reform hindu religion. But they failed, caste survived. One measure that has not been tried, is Dr. Ambedkars suggestion mentioned in 'Annihilation of Caste'. This is for obvious reason, one, if it is carried out it will shake the foundations of hindu religion, secondly, he still falls in the margin.Dr. Ambedkars suggestions are simple-1. promote intercaste marriages. But, laws of shastras do not allow intercaste marriages.2. Therefore reject the shastras.(from Annihilation Of Caste: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar).

How hard is it to get a medical marijuana card in New Jersey?

"Marijuana Break" Newsletter.Jersey Medical Marijuana License ProcessUp until early 2018, there were only 500 or so physicians on the registry. However, the number has swelled in recent times, and you can click here to find a doctor that is registered with the state’s marijuana program. At the time of writing, there are only six registered dispensaries in New Jersey:•Greenleaf Compassion Center in Montclair.•Breakwater Treatment & Wellness in Cranbury.•Harmony Dispensary in Secaucus.•Curaleaf NJ in Bellmawr.•Compassionate Care Foundation in Egg Harbor Township.•Garden State Dispensary in Woodbridge. The program hopes to roll out its new upgraded portal which will allow you to sign up using a mobile device. MMJ cardholders are not allowed to grow marijuana at home, and you can only register with one Alternative Treatment Center (ATC) although this may change in the future.Medical marijuana is packaged in quarter or half ounce denominations, and you are not allowed to purchase more than two ounces per 30 days. After your 30, 60, or 90-day certification expires, you must make an appoint with your physician so they can re-assess your condition. Finally, patient registration is valid for two years. The medical marijuana law in New Jersey remains complicated, over nine years since Governor Jon Corzine made medicinal weed legal on his final day in office. On that day – January 18, 2010 – Corzine signed the Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act into law. It allowed medical cannabis for individuals with one of a select group of illnesses. In 2011, the state was deemed to have the strictest medical marijuana law of the 16 states that had legalized pot to that point. The first dispensary didn’t open in New Jersey until December 2012. There are now just six dispensaries, but in 2017, the state’s Medicinal Marijuana Review Panel increased the list of qualifying conditions. There are still issues regarding sales tax, and negotiations to legalize weed recreationally are ongoing, but legislative gridlock seems certain to keep things on hold for several more years. At least it is slightly easier to get an MMJ card in New Jersey, and this guide shows you how.The Definitive Guide on How to Get a Medical Marijuana Card in New JerseyBefore we begin, it is important to note that patients must be at least 18 years of age and have proof of ID which shows they are a New Jersey resident. Minors can also attain an MMJ card but need a designated legal guardian and written confirmation from a pediatrician and a psychiatrist. You also need to have one of the qualifying conditions listed below.Step 1 – Visit a PhysicianThe first step on what can be a lengthy and expensive mission is to visit a doctor registered with the New Jersey Department of Health. This physician will perform your marijuana evaluation and decide if you warrant a written recommendation. Interestingly, these recommendations are not called ‘prescriptions’ because that is a violation of federal law.If you visit a reputable physician, this initial consultation could last up to an hour. The doctor will take a detailed medical history, review your medical records, perform a physical exam, and discuss whether you qualify for medical marijuana under state law. Be prepared to provide a urine sample because the doctor wants to see if you are using any other drugs. When you visit the doctor, make sure you bring your complete medical records, a driver’s license or another form of photo ID, and proof of residency. Typically, your physician will accept a utility bill dated within the last 90 days or any correspondence with the state’s Tax Office or the IRS within the last 12 months.Step 2 – Follow-Up VisitNew Jersey is different from many states because prospective patients must embark on a follow-up visit which is usually scheduled one week from your first meeting. The doctor reviews the test results and establishes the correct monthly dose of weed.
