To get said permit, you need to pass a psychological exam and submit a complete list of firearms that permit is valid for.If you are caught in possession of a firearm you are not permitted to own (as in it is not “permitted”), you’re looking at serious problems.If a sheriff refuses to enforce this policy, then they are guilty of obstruction of justice as the best possible consequence of their inaction.At this point, the case will appeal its way to the Supreme Court to be judged as a Constitutional challenge.And just like anything else that threatens a politician’s LIFETIME appointment to a position of wealth and power, SCOTUS will turn the case down and leave the matter in a legal gray area.Is a permit system unconstitutional?
