[06/01/2017]When this happened about 6 months ago, it wasn’t clear that troll army IS *a thing* and that hate speech is actually a state-sponsored grammar with a clear semantic line and obvious bullet points.I had said somewhere on the text below that we needed to “hijack their memes”. well as long as we have text and text input as the gateway to online communication, bots and trolls are going to exist. It showed that she was perfectly aware of the transactional nature of the relationship - she brought the youth and looks, he brought the money. If she were to get fat, he’d dump her in a second. If he became homeless, she’d be gone in no time.I always remembered this line when reading comments from men about dating, how women are “gold diggers”, or when I’d get messages from much older dudes on dating websites who would have some sort of description about how they liked dating “younger women”.The reality is, in order for these types of relationships to be balanced, the older man needs to have serious money. Most women don’t want to be treated as objects, even the super hot ones. The ones that are ok with that, need the man who can deliver the lifestyle in exchange for arm candy support. I mean I don’t think it’s controversial to say that Donald Trump is not an attractive man, especially if he is 25 years older than her. This criticism came in waves and I have been gathering relevant data on this pattern.My exclusive DELETE algorithm eliminates non-sense, hate speech and those who have just signed up to Quora to spew hatred against my spontaneous personal opinion. I mean it’s not like y’all have anything against the first amendment,right?The data I have gathered about this pattern of trolling so far suggests some kind of central information node that pushes out links for people troll under. All but one or two of the commenters had just signed up to Quora to comment on this.One curious pattern was the presence of links, to wikipedia and other clickbait, which would also suggest that their adtech propaganda machine aka “fake news” is related to tracking analytics, installing cookies, as well sustaining a cpm-generating business arm.Hatebait leaves its territorial “seeds” through these links. None of the people who left comments were able to construct a sentence that made any sense, it quickly descended into juvenilia such as “ do you support trans what about the others” or “it’s so funny that people on quora have to say out loud they did not vote for trump”. Virtually all if the comments used modal verbs “you should/should not” “can /can’t threatening language such as “be careful...”.They read like threats meant to create an atmosphere of fear. Like Hitler did in the 1930s. The best response is ignore and understand their patterns, so that we may learn and turn these memes into jokes. One thing all authoritarian regimes have in common is that they have no sense of humor. It enrages them beyond belief. Laughter is the truth of the child. It can’t be denied, or faked.It is safe to say that if we survive this presidency we have a chance at turning things around. We need relentless humor, and we need to hijack their hatred memes asap.The trolling pattern had entirely external sources, the vitality was generated outside of core Quora user groups. I can’t quite tell if some of these users were 100% coordinated trolls or if a percentage of them were bots, I will update the answer with data visualizations in the next few days. [UPDATE: I contacted Quora to see if I could have access to more specific analytics such as specific times when comments were written or if I could have access to some of the comments I deleted but the answer was, understandably, no. He’s looking to hire at the Stanford of North Dakota campus.11/25: Now that the comments are closed, I can see clearly another interesting pattern that would suggest a coordinated content strategy with a “management” arm behind it.Initially the comments focused on “emotional” punchlines that used classic authoritarian power-play syntax (i.e. imperative voice, modal verb contractions and the use of third person singular, or, “YOU can’t say___ YOU shouldn’t ___ YOU will___, and the utmost, last-resort objectifying statement, “YOU are ____” , which attempts to shift Descartes’ Cogito ergo sum - “I think therefore I am” into objectifying, narcissistic paranoia: “I think therefore YOU are” ). In contrast, normal conversation and civilized commenting consists of the exposition of a specific topic; a back-and-forth and the (hopefully moderate) use of the first-person “I”.I started responding by flat-out copying t heir syntax style, content and memes. Examples: “YOU are a New York Times Liberal Lying Elite Media Liar #lockherup #buildthewall” “DO YOU need a safe space to process your snowflake feelings #hillarythecrook ”] while never showing the engagement and emotional reactions that had amused and encouraged trolls just a few minutes earlier. We all understand that people are self-determining and not defined by whoever grabs the second person microphone first and yells at them.The use of the “informal” tu (French) and du (German) only happens with people you are friends with, or of family. It’s unthinkable and barbaric to use the second person the way it was used on these comments. I rode for a 1% Club for nearly a decade called the Death Barons before the majority of the members patched over to the larger corporate clubs like the Bandidos, Hells Angels, Outlaws and Vagos. We were based out of Oklahoma though we originated from Connecticut in the 1950s. By the midsixties the mother club relocated to Oklahoma and the Connecticut chapter was completely dissolved by the midseventies leaving Oklahoma as the base of operations until it's cessation approximately ten years ago. First off only motorcyclists can be a 1%er and the lifestyle is meant the few. Its not something you just “try out”, it is meant to be a life commitment and it is common thesedays to find people that come and go through the clubs as well as an abundance of paid informants, undercover officers and those that are not solid enough to be a brother in the first place i.e. soft members that patch-in and are the first to roll on the club because they come in with little to no criminal experience. Despite what people are saying now and how many of the clubs are making attempts to incorporate as a business and clean up their image I must say that first and foremost a “true 1%er” is a criminal on a motorcycle. 1% means that the biker wearing this diamond patch over their heart has made a commitment to a brotherhood established on crime and riding motorcycles. 1% means that we are not law abidding citizens, we are anti law enforcement and believe the AMA could shove it for the most part. What each individual member's criminal business varies however any true 1%er is a criminal, there are a lot of fakes out there flying a patch or displaying a 1% diamond and the true 1% that live by the code of an outlaw biker are a dying breed even amongst the 1% community itself.What it was like cannot merely be explained in a few words however I can say that there are a lot of wannabes and fake 1%ers thesedays that joined up after watching Sons of Anarchy or were patched in slightly prior to that and are a soft bunch of snitches. After relocating to another state I have decided that it is time for me to completely patch-over as well, get back in the scene and join a new 1% club out here where I am living.With that said I must mention it is not exactly like it is on television and most modern bikers I met haven't done half the shit I have in the 15+ years I was with the club that they have done in a life time.It was a rough life that I lived 24 hours a day. When I began I had only rode motorcycles for a few years and prospecting was rigorous.During the prospecting stage I was required to whatever the hell the club told me to do. I was a prospect for about 2 years before earning the right to adorn the patch ablazen on my vest of “The Count” as we called it. As a prospect I mostly would stand guard with other provisional members outside of the bar and guard the bikes. We had several pubs we extorted that paid us as an illicit security team and as legitimate bouncers. At these bars the Patches and Old Ladies would sell drugs to customers that frequented the place.During prospecting I was ordered to do everything from washing bikes with Ol Ladies at a bikini car wash to licking the dirt off my sponsor's boot. It was like having a military drill sergeant in the chapter I was in with a lot of “yes sir, no sir” or jump down and give me 20 push ups. If a female wasn't at the clubhouse then the responsibility fell upon the prospects to do beer runs. The Patch Holders would sometimes pick on me as a form of hazing, piss on my boots and once handing me a cold bottle with what appeared to be a pilsner as a gift however upon my first slam I spit the liquid out after discovering it was cold piss. We would go riding out to a grassland a few hours away after it rained and they would tie us to their motorcycles and drag us through the mud. They throw snowballs at us, whitewashed us, depantsed us in front of women and poured beer over our heads. We just had to take it because we we're not allowed to touch a Patch however after prospecting the hazing ended. While being hazed as a prospect the weak will just walk away from the life and turn in their colors like a puss while those that truly deserve to be there will persist and make the cut.Prior to being a prospect I was a hangaround for several years. This simply meant I hung around the club at bars, played pool with them, bought a little grass off them and rode motorcycles on the weekend. After I began hooking the club up with green and cocaine for a few years a member asked if I wanted to join because the club was looking to expand and form a new Nomad chapter, by this point I had known the club as an associate for nearly 10 years from my teenage years and into my 20s.I had a sponsor and a witness to attest officially that I agreed to become a prospect out of my own discretion and was willing to make a donation as well as a payment toward the manufacturing of my Rocker or Bar as it is called i.e. a patch worn on the lower back of a leather or denim vest with the territorial location embroderied into it and in my case it read “Nomad”. As a prospect I wasn't required to pay dues however I still had to pay club street taxes. Everyone paid taxes from prostitutes to Ol Ladies to local drug dealers and club members although this tax only applied to official ol ladies, members and anyone involved with our criminal operations that wasn't a major supplier e.g. a local musician associated with the club had “tax exemption” because she wasn't directly involved with “club business”.I felt invincible while Rockin' as I cruised throughout the state and the longer I was rockin it hard the more powerful and invigorated I was. I had this exhilarating rush that I could do anything and that the club had my back to some extent. Then the day finally came that I was went through a preparation to Patch In.In order to “Patch-In” I was required to do what the Barons called a “Righteous Rite” or simply a crime that satisfied the club. In other words merely a unanimous vote and time served as a prospect wasn't enough to be issued a patch and I had to execute one of 5 crimes that were considered enough to satisfy the voting body. In other words I had to earn my stripes as a criminal despite all my minor crimes in the past like marijuana horticulture, assault, distribution of a controlled substance, etcetera.The night I patched in we had planned for a few days as to what we were going to carry out. The Patches had selected from a list of 5 crimes. My sponsor and witness went with me to carty out the dirty deed. We did reconnaissance of a place for a few weeks leading up to the act and even placed hidden cameras and bugs in the garage and kitchen of a Rub ( rich urban biker sometimes called SCRUBs) that my sponsor had desired to rip off for months without my knowledge. The final 3 nights leading up to my patch-in I was nervous and scared that I could do some serious time but knew this was my only chance to get in.The deal was “do the Righteous Rite” or I was out of the club entirely with no chance to ever get in and faced possible consequences and after 2 years of prospecting I figured if we go down we go down together as brother and those that get away are scott free however if I was to get caught I knew that I had to keep my lips sealed, man up and take responsibility for my own actions without taking other people down with me by cooperating with law enforcement.The night finally came as we watched from a monitor and then they said, “lets go”.In short we previously stole the garage door opener, later opened it up at night then ran inthete with balaclavas and guns, duct taped, blindfolded and tied these people up. One brother loaded the scrubs bike onto his pickup truck while me and my witness loaded the couple into the trunk of the car. We circled the block a few times then dropped the couple off on their front lawn just as the sprinklers turned on a peeled out.I know that people probably will blast me with negative comments regarding a minor kidnapping however I don't care. I am an outlaw biker and mafiosi and at the time I was committed to doing whatever it took to join that club. I have done worse and other people have done worse crimes so shove it!!! I would learn this wouldn't be my first kidnapping for the club and later held a drug dealer hostage that owed the club $16,000.As a Death Baron I was told we were at war with the Bandidos, the Outlaws, The Chosen One, the Sons of Silence and the Alien Nomads. I went through an initiation ritual the afternoon I received The Count. Prior I paid for my patch and any taxes; I was exempt from dues for the first year as a Patch afterward I was expected to pay dues of $20 a week plus several hundred dollars per annum which added up to a few nearly a few thousand dollars annualy. We were also allowed to select from 3 different patches 1) The Count which was a vampire looking baron with a mustache and swastika 2) The 80s patch which was one that was red, black and white with a skull attached to handle bars and a wheel similar to a patch that the Freewheelers MC has 3) “Jack” or the original patch which was a skull with a motorcycle helmet. I almost selected the patch the club wore throughout the late 70s and 80s however I was talked into flying The Count.As for rivals in the area our main 2 were the Alien Nomads and the Bandidos. We had an on and off relationship with El Forestero, Scorpions, The Rogue, Dirty Dozen and the Galloping Goose. Most clubs we had no issues with and the conflicts were purely internal for us with the exception of the Alien Nomads whom apparently had been at war with the Death Barons since the 70s. We had very little knowledge as to why or how the war was started but we were ordered to kill any Alien Nomad on sight. This wasn't always true and we made attempts to talk things out with them as the years went on.I can say as a Patch the daily life was selling drugs, having sex with prostitutes, selling women into prostitution, fighting people that gave the club and its associates problems as well cruising from state to state through the desert, prarie and city on a motorcycle. On the weekends we would hit on chicks and sometimes get shut down, sometimes we would score and pick up random bar flys playing pool or that wanted to ride on the back of our motorcycles. My sponsors in their 40s and 50s were picking up chicks half their age. Prior to my membership I had some serious drug issues and the club turned my life around slightly as I choose to quit using hard drugs to move up the ranks.What I can say is that it was a great experience and at times I slept at night with a gun on the night stand in fear of retaliation from local drug dealers, criminals and 1%er rivals. There wad no feeling in the world like flying your colors through the Badlands while traveling to Sturgis as leave an Alien Nomad or Chosen One in the dust and stare down the Sons of Silence, Outlaws and Bandidos.We didn't have clubhouses per say like the larger motorcycle clubs e.g. Sons of Silence, Hells Angels, Bandidos, Outlaws, Vagos, etcetera and mostly met in the driveways, livingrooms and garages of members. We had a few mechanic shops, a barnhouse at a farm and some warehouses or weilding shops that we the “mother club” would have at a few times a year.To sum it up the daily life was mostly operating a prostitution ring, drug business and running guns. It was thrilling at times and you really feel like you have power with a patch on however many times you also feel like your life is at risk. As a 1%er you are a mixture of both a criminal and a straight out biker. We rode around mostly in Oklahoma and Missouri though we took trips to surrounding states and as far as Florida, Texas, New Hampshire, South Dakota and Colorado. Club business was mostly conducted in Oklahoma however we had associates and a few Nomads in other states. It was an incredible time in my life and I wouldn't change a thing. I rose up to the Board of Directors slightly after most of our members patched over to groups like the Mongols, Bandidos, Hells Angels, Vagos, etcetera or ended up with heavy indictments with sentencing beyond a decade that splintered and eventually dissolved the club with very few to none of its members left in Oklahoma so I relocated to the big city. Now my time has come and I too will patch over. Death Barons is for life however I feel that my time has come to patch over to another motorcycle club in the area. Ride Hard and Live Free.
