What is the new pattern of ILP in TCS of one week?

There is no such standard pattern followed. It varies based on location and even in the same location different batches may have different pattern. Again in the same batch we will be divided randomly and there also we may have different pattern. I will tell you how I had it. I had an ILP of one week but it some what took 5+2=7 days. So I joined on July 1 2019 Monday. In first day we were asked for document verification and they were giving some details regarding safety, employee policy, perks etc. There was no training.Second day also we were continuing with document verification. They were checking documents during that time we were asked to do dance drama or any thing to avoid stage fear.Third day we were given ultimatix login and we're asked to do courses at office or other wise at home. We were asked to play some games.Fourth day we were divided into teams and we had GD.Fifth day with the same team they gave a topic on fourth day and told to do a skit.Actually the whole ILP would have taken place less than an hour. At morning we will be simply sitting or roaming or doing ultimatix course. Mostly they will ask us to report at 9 and they will start every thing after 4 I clock also some days. On fifth day we just had to present a skit for 5 mins. We arrived at 9'o clock A. M. But they came to see us at 5.30 P. M. So time is not mostly valued. Till that time we were discussing ultimatix course answer after finishing it simply practicing skit are roaming around the campus etc.So after these five days they did not release our ILP release letter so they asked us to come for extra two days where almost every one completed ultimatix course so they gave new courses to engage us. On eighth day we reported to RMG from nineth day we were given leave and just have to report only when needed for project. Happy times 😅.Any way it is good to utilize these bench holidays productively.

What is the nastiest home you have been in?

When I was working as a police officer I had a call of a shoplifting with a minor, a girl of 14. At that age I was required to take her home to find an adult to release her to as she was considered “arrested on paper.”When we got to her house she got out of the cruiser rather quickly and ran inside the home and brought out another teenager with her. I told the teen I needed to release her to an adult and as I started to go to the front door she blocked my way which seemed very odd.I pressed on asking “is there an adult inside?” She responded that there was but that she would go in and get her. I stood about 6 feet from the open door and inhaled an odor from inside that I can only describe as truly putrid from inside that house.I immediately began to suspect that the inside of the home was a “filth situation” and I walked around to the back to see if I was correct by looking in the windows, but almost all had closed curtains and it was dark inside the windows that I could see into. The girl then exited the back door which again produced a rush of air that was truly disgusting. Again I attempted to gain entrance to the house but the girl stood in my way. Since I didn’t have a warrant to search the house and I couldn’t prove that it was a dangerous situation to justify a warrantless entry, I then released the girl to an adult relative who also eventually came out of the home,Afterwards I wrote an information report to Child Protective Services relaying my suspicions that the inside of the house was filthy and a potential danger to those living inside.A few months later I received a letter from one of the CPS investigators who had received my report. She wrote to tell me that she thought I’d want to know that they investigated the home and that it had been the worst case of child neglect and filth they had ever seen! She said there was urine and feces everywhere from both humans and animals. She said that she was amazed that I had been able to make a determination that the house was a problem having never entered and by only using my sense of smell. In 15 years I had been in a lot of dirty to filthy homes and somehow my sense of smell let me know that this home needed a look inside. The investigator said everyone (7 children in all) had been removed from the home, as there were no adults living there, the utilities had been shut off and the oldest child was trying desperately to keep the family together.I felt sad that the family was split up but I knew how dangerous continuing to live in that house was going to be. This was one of the saddest cases I worked on and has always remained in my thoughts.

What is the best decision of your software development career?

The best decision of my career was to release a portion of my proprietary source code as open source to save others a little time and trouble. That selfless act put my name out there against work I felt comfortable displaying. More than anything else I have done it has traveled and been used everywhere. By my reckoning it resides in more than 100 million devices.Years ago I began a research project into ‘data packaging’ that I funded from my company and SR&ED grant money from the Canadian Government (thanks Canada!). During the course of this research/development I had to build ‘armoring’ for binary data so that it could be stored and transmitted as text. One day in 2002, while I was doing a website for a local charity, I was sent large photos via Email. They were large enough that they broke the mime encoding and so could not be saved or displayed. To recover them, I went looking for a utility that would repair them and when that failed I dug into the spec and went looking for a base64 conversion utility. I could find some, but they did not work, were non-portable or had requirements that made them impractical. By that point I understood the issue well enough to realize that I had already built the code (the ‘armoring’ mentioned above). The only thing I had to do was refer to the RFC (1113 at the time), alter the translation tables to match and make a couple of small changes to conform to the letter of the spec.Having discovered all the issues involved in building the utility for myself I decided to pretty it up a bit and release the code so that others did not have to go through all the misery I did. If Karma is ‘a thing’, then this is a good example of it.

I love that it streamlines my work flow. I dont have to worry about emailing final copies of contracts to everyone because CocoDoc does it automatically once all parties have signed. I dont have to worry about scanning and uploading contracts signed on paper. Just saves me time.
