CDAC is a place not only for graduates, entry level freshers or people with non-technical background.CDAC, is a well known, reputed institute in India, which not only provides a Diploma Certificate in Advanced Computing, but also opens a number of opportunities for the candidate.I am Ex-CDACian, as I completed by CDAC in Feb 2010. Trust me, it’s been more than 7 years, but still, whenever I mention CDAC as part of my academics, I get a different respect and people treat with different perspective.I know how you feel right now, as I was also standing on the same road 7 years ago. But today, I don’t regret my decision as it changed my life.Here are some of the things/feelings/opportunities you will have after completing CDAC:A chance to increase your social and professional network by knowing amazing people with different skills, knowledge and from different part of the country.An exciting 6 months of learning, fun and enthusiasm.You will not only learn technical stuff, but will also gain value Corporate, Presentation and Communication skills.You will get an opportunity to choose your employer, of-course you won’t be allowed to be part of multiple company interviews after receiving offer, but still you can be a chooser.You will not be part of any introduction 3 or 6 months training for freshers conducted by almost every company like Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant etc.You will be treated as an experienced professional.You can choose your career path in CDAC, by analyzing yourself about the technology that excites you. You can then interview yourself for the same and can start working on it.You will get benefits in interview as well at some point later in your life when you plan for job switch. Believe me, I have experienced this myself as part of one company’s interview. The interviewer was happy to meet one of his ex-CDACian.You will get to meet some brilliant faculties, some of whom are working as Senior Leads or Managers in big MNCs.Coming back to the first point again, the same network will refer you in their respective companies, and viola, you will have ample of job opportunities.Go for it, it’s worth the “INVESTMENT”. As per the placement for 3 years when I was associated with CDAC, it was better in Pune as compared to Bangalore.Go for it, it’s worth the “INVESTMENT”. CDAC Overrated……On what basis you are asking this Question.But as per my Experience I don’t think that CDAC is Overrated.When I was about to do CDAC I was not at all aware about What exactly CDAC is. My only aim was to learn as much as I can and grab a Job.When I was going through CDAC I thought it’s the worst decision I have made as the course schedule is so long, 5 hrs long session plus 5 hours practicals and that too coding and programming along with the revision (Long hours of Revision ) I thought I won’t be able to do and started to think to leave the Course in middle. Also the exams conducted by CDAC was without break and immediately after course completion. I thought that I would be failing in the Exam and than the Placement starts no good calls to me for first 2 months and than the number of calls starts decreasing as the time passes. Still no hope to get placed.When CDAC completed I got a job and than I relaxed. And I still remember the days of CDAC where I put my 100% to get a Job It feels good that this much Hard work you can do i your life. It gives me strength to perform in Future.So I don’t think CDAC is Overrated in terms of your Experience. Even they don’t guarantee your Placement (It really hurts ….) but at least they brings you one level up as compare to the other Graduates who are just new to the technologies and working environment of IT sector.HOPE THAT IT HELPS…ALL THE BEST…
