Well, people tend to use what they know and if they have trained on MacOS then they are going to steer towards using MacOS outside of their education. It is the old “first hit is free” marketing trick.For example, at TAFE here in Australia, when I was doing my Diploma of IT Administration I had access to free copies of:Windows 7Windows XPWindows VistaWindows Server 2008Microsoft Office 2007Free MCSE and MCSD certification from Microsoftand licenses for other administration related software (it was a long time ago so I don’t remember them all).Students in the IT Graphics Design stream had access to all of the Adobe graphics design and movie editing software along side Windows licenses. Students in Architecture got free access to a full version of the latest version of Autodesk Revit.TL;DR; - IT companies like Microsoft, Apple, Adobe, Autodesk, etc give steep discounts to educational facilities to get students hooked on their ecosystem. If your school is overspending on hardware or software then you need to give your acquisition officer a swift kick in the rear end.

It is sold in black.Bottomline is that Army is one of the most corrupt organisations in India, but seems like clean because the corruption is undocumented. Take for example Arjun tanks. Well the Arjun scam refers to a series of tricks Army played to not induct Arjun and get T-90s instead. Buying a foreign tank gets kickbacks as compared to buying domestic product. During Field testing of Arjun, sand was found in Arjun's main engine forcing a stop. A clear act of sabotage. In another instance the GSQR stated Arjun to show low Fording. Instead if Low, DRDO showed Medium Fording. Within 15 minutes, the GSQR were changed from Low Fording to Snorkelling.
