PDF Editor FAQ

What do you make of a person who over the past 30 years has been fired from four consecutive long term jobs in their field that they eventually came to hate? Did that person choose the wrong field or simply isn’t suited working for others?

The economy has had its ups and downs over the years so people had become unemployed who were long term employees. Of course if you’re in your 50’s you need to work so get the best job you can, work weekends too and start your own business. Do your business plan, pull information on who to contact to check backgrounds, check into insurance to protect yourself, and begin something like a home cleaning business, a “homemaker, companion, sitter” agency for elders, a rug cleaning business, a pest control business, a pool cleaning business, lots of stuff out there for you to look into. And now there’s start-up monetary assistance for you on social media.

I had an abortion 5 years ago at age 18, and I know I made the right choice at the time, but it still bothers me. How do I heal?

I did homemaker/companion/sitter type work thru an agency years ago for a woman in her late 80’s. She said she was ill and hoped God would forgive her for having an abortion when she was young, and she thought she would go to hell. The next time I went to work for her I found she was in the hospital and soon died. I always thought how sad it is that abortion sticks with people their entire lives. I don’t know that there is a way to make up for that, I mean it’s between you and your maker. Go to church, talk with your pastor/priest and get absolution for your mistake if you feel that. That will help some.

Should age-based affirmative action employment programs for people over 50 be established?

Back even in the 1990’s people over 50 here in my state were called “general populace” and they wouldn’t help those 50 and above to find work while they would send those younger out to interview. The system of sending people on interviews has changed (people call and go on the interview themselves these days with no referrals) so I don’t know if the “general populace” thing has changed or not. What I can tell you is that over 50 it’s difficult for a woman (maybe men to) to find work. I suspect that by 50 they expected that workers were knowledgeable enough to start their own business. In the 1950’s and 1960’s those in age 50 and older would become home cleaners, nurses aides (now called CNA’s or others called HHA’s or Homemaker, Companion, Sitter) or baby sitters. The men would be things like umpires, directors (board of directors), mentors, fast food restaurant managers or owners, realtors/brokers, etc.

The best thing about this software is that you get so much usage for free so you understand what you need. Once you know it's only less per month. The other software's minimum is more per month and that's not factoring in that you need to pay annually upfront.
