This account isn't me. This account is actually someone who has nothing better to do than pretend to be me. Suppose I should take it as a compliment.In all honesty it's a bit annoying because I know that some of my followers are confused by his/ her answers, thinking it's me. But I'm not too bothered, if Quora doesn't remove them soon I will likely report the page for identity theft, which is a serious crime pretty much the world over.Edit: problem done problemed itself out.

We have identical twin daughters. At the hospital the staff tagged them with wristbands right after they were born. We kept those on for a while. One of our daughters has a small birthmark that was normally covered by her diaper so there was always a way to be sure - but it wasn't convenient. So, we painted their toenails different colors: red and green. We kept that color scheme as they got older and would put red and green bows in their hair. Other people in our neighborhood knew this and counted on the color scheme to tell the girls apart.Funny story... when the girls were very little and couldn't talk yet we had red and green sippy cups for them. One day they were in their high chairs and we were trying to feed them quickly because we were running late. I put their sippy cups on their trays and then walked back across the room to do something else. The girls protested with loud cries (remember they can't talk yet) and when I turned around they were both shaking their heads and holding out their sippy cups. I had given them the wrong cups. The funny part is that we gave them different colors so that we could keep up with which was which - we had no idea that they were aware of the color scheme.

Sure. I won’t disagree.But, so is this one —This is identity politics — I might agree …As long as you have no issue acknowledging that this is identity politics tooAnd guess what ? There is absolutely nothing wrong about identity politics especially while politicians are aiming for electoral gains.But you know what annoys me?Behaving as if identity politics is some uncouth unethical thing only the political left participates in, while the political right’s identity-politics-game is even more prolific, even more exhibitory, even more effective.There is nothing wrong with pursuing identity politics, as long as you don’t pretend like your tribe’s identity politics is not actually ‘identity politics’. In fact, being able to successfully pursue voters based on their identity — is nothing less than ‘effective politics’.And the political right has won that race of persuasion …again …and again …And they pretentiously branded it into something ‘virtuous’ and ‘sanctimonious’..The holy trifecta of identity politics!Yet … apparently, ‘the left is obsessed with it’.That statement is so disingenuous and untruthful, whoever makes it, becomes instantaneously disqualified from discussing politics with me.
