PDF Editor FAQ

Why do nuns change their names?

It is not required these days. In fact many active sisters keep their birth names.I changed my name for a few reasons:It was the custom in the Order of St. Clare. We often see names being changed or added to mark a change of status. For example, Catholic teens get a Confirmation name; if an Orthodox Jew becomes ill to the point of death, a name indicating healing or long life is sometimes added to his or her name.We see in the Old Testament many instances of people's names being changed when they have embarked on a new relationship with God.

Does anyone have a family member who died in the Holocaust?

I lost countless relatives, and I’ll list their names, but I want to focus on three little girls.Magda was the eldest. We look alike, my grandfather says we have the exact same smile. She was so smart aleck, like me. She loved to read and she was her grandfather’s favorite, just like me.Erna was the middle daughter, and she was sweet and giggly and kind and she loved dolls. She wanted to be a mother so badly, and was a second mother to her younger sister.Judith was the baby and she was so shy. She stuck close to Erna, who was her protector and best friend. She looks like my nephew Dolphin. It’s impossible to visualize six million. So just see them for a minute. See their faces and know their loves and their hopes and their dreams. My maternal grandfatherHis parents, Laizer and LeahHis sister, Regina and brother in Law, TibiTheir three daughters, listed aboveHis brother Naftali and sister in law (must confirm name)Two children, Tibor, age 3, and Edith, age 1His sister Cecelia22 aunts and unclesOver a hundred cousinsMaternal grandmotherHer parents, Solomon and RoseHer brother Itzik, age 5Paternal GrandfatherHis mother ChayaHis 12 year old sister, RaizyPaternal GrandmotherHer brother, Moshe, age 21

Catholics, what is your confirmation name, or the name you're planning to use as your confirmation name? Do you like it?

My Confirmation was also my Adult Initiation into the Church. I chose the name Françoise after St. Francis of Assisi. (I took the French spelling because, even though I was in Israel, my Catholic environment was mostly French expats.)I attribute my long, twisty road to the Catholic Church to the influence of Francis of Assisi, and I was very happy to the opportunity to honor him in this way. I even used Francoise in daily life until I received the Poor Clare habit.Interesting question and I’m looking forward to read the answers, especially you cradle Catholics!

I have been using the OSX built in movie editor and it was just... lacking. I found CocoDoc and just WOW. I couldn't be happier. It has all the same capability with even more features and, more importantly, flexibility. Anything I don't know can be figured out with a quick google search and customer support is excellent. Great job on making great software!
