Please ADHERE to the instructions mentioned on the admit card :1. Bring a color printout of the Admit card to the examination centre.2. The admit card must be presented for verification along with one of the following ORIGINAL photo IDs:(i) Hall ticket / admit card of the BOARD EXAMINATION with photo or(ii) College / School identity card or(iii) Certificate from the School / College Principal (As given in Appendix 1 of UCEED information brochure) or(iv) Any Government issued Photo ID proof3. Report to the examination centre at 08:00 Hours for identity verification and biometric identity capture.4. Examination will commence at 10:00 Hours IST. You will NOT be allowed to enter the examination center after commencement of the examination. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination, except for medical emergencies.5. Scribble pads for rough work will be provided. Exchange of this is NOT allowed. Hand over the scribble pad to the Invigilator after the examination.6. Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, calculators etc. are NOT allowed in the examination hall. Pencils/ Pens are allowed.7. Violation of any rules and regulation or use of any unfair means at any stage of the examination will lead to the disqualification of Candidate.

With last minute preparations, candidates must also aware of things that they need to carry in examination hall while appearing for JEE Main. CBSE has mentioned certain things candidates need to carry in the examination hall. During the exam, candidate will have to show the invigilator the JEE Main 2018 admit card so that your identity is ascertained. Check whether the copy is in good condition. Always carry 2 copies so that you have a backup in case one is torn or is missing.Photo Identity Proof- It is better to carry the Aadhaar Card in case you are asked for a photo ID. If you don’t have one, then carry any valid Photo ID along with the admit card.Disability Certificate – Candidates falling under this category must carry the PwD certificate in the prescribed format as given in the JEE Main brochure under the Appendix 9. The disability certificate has to be issued by a recognized authority. Candidates who have 40% disability will be required either to submit a request for scribe or reader or opt to choose their own scribeClipboard- This is for the offline exam candidates only. Carry a clean one with no marks or scribbling on it that may amount to cheating and can get you debarred from the exam. There was stringent security with frisking and usage of metal detectors. So this year it is expected to be no different. So what candidates should not carry or wear can be summarised as:No need to carry blue/black ball point pen or pencil – This will be provided in the exam hall, only for the offline exam candidates by CBSE. Use of pencil is strictly prohibited. Even if you are carrying pens and pencils, candidate will be asked to leave it outside.Don’t wear watches – digital ones. Analog ones are allowedNo jewellery – earrings, lockets etc. Candidates were asked to remove them last year. Since there is no safe place to keep them, forgo wearing them for the exam.Bags are not allowed inside. So, avoid carrying them outside.The authorities at the exam hall will not be responsible for the bags, materials. However it is not possible to go with just the admit card, and photo ID as well as a clipboard. Don't forget to carry a water to examination centre as it is too hot. However, candidates will not be allowed to carry water bottles inside the examination hall. Therefore carry a small bag with no valuables – just some water and the JEE Main Admit Card, Photo ID.
