Are you happy with your Governor’s response to COVID-19?

Are you happy with your Governor’s response to COVID-19?I am very happy and surprised by Ohio governor, Mike DeWine’s, response to COVID-19. I am surprised because Governor, Mike DeWine is a Republican. I am happy because he has done all of the right, smart and caring things, in spite of the foolish, uncaring directives and self-serving gaslighting of the Republican president.Coronavirus timeline: A look at the orders changing life in OhioHere is a timeline of orders issued by the DeWine administration in response to coronavirus:•March 5: Gov. DeWine and Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther announce Arnold Sports Festival closed to spectators and limited to athletes and parents of athletes• March 9: Gov. He puts people before party. I have a hunch his actions threw the orange gelatinous blob in the White House for a loop.Updatre 3–28–2020: Here is something Governor DeWine was pushing for today:Machines could sanitize 160,000 masks for reuse each day in Ohio, if approved by FDA

How is the life of an MBBS student at LTM Medical College, Mumbai?

I'm finally done with my first year university exams including theory and practicals. Also, I had my first clinical posting today in the department of Medicine. An amazing day filled with new experiences which I'll pen down some other day.So this question appeared in my feed today and I instantly decided to answer it. I'll honestly try to write down some amazing things which I've experienced in last 8 to 9 months in this wonderful institute. I've included many images so that this answer looks more appealing and interesting :-)The most unique thing about LTMMC (popularly known as Sion Hospital) which makes it stand out of the crowd is the kind of people which you'll encounter here. We've been privileged to have some excellent teachers which are passionate to teach students.A biochemistry teacher of ours takes regular breaks during her 1 hour lecture during which she tells us few inspirational quotes, some jokes etc. This makes the student learn subjects like biochemistry in an more efficient manner. These were few pictures of some of our amazing professors. Learning complex subjects with them becomes more joyous. So in short, we have a complete student friendly environment around us.A) Academics:-LTMMC is ranked the 17th best Medical College in India according to a recent survey which was released a few months back. This is the second most preferred government college in Maharashtra right after Seth GS and KEM hospital. This is one of the few medical colleges which has Air Conditioned Lecture Halls.Advantage of having an A.C. lecture hall:-You can doze off in the last benches easily after completing an entire season of GOT the previous night :-DDisadvantage of having an A.C. lecture hall:-Imagine attending lectures early in the morning at 23 degrees during winter season. We are wrapped up all around by sweaters. Please don't think that medical colleges are filled with nerds. We have variety of students here. Everyone has his/her own priority.1. Few of them enjoy watching YouTube videos in last benches2. Also we have some over enthusiastic peoples reaching the lecture hall an hour before the scheduled time :-D3. Some prefer studying a few days before exams(A usual library scene a night before exam xD )Trinity is an International Students Medical Conference which is conducted annually in our college. It includes poster presentations, quizzes, motivational talks and lots of other things.Dr. APJ Abdul kalam sir was the chief guest of Trinity during the year 2014.2) Cultural fests:-“Ashwamedh” is the most awaited festival here. Students from various colleges all over India are present here in large numbers to enjoy some of their favourite bollywood superstars performing live in front of them.(Nikhil D’souza performing live during Ashwamedh 2018)3) Sports:-We have a small ground, a basket ball court, a badminton court where people recreate forgetting all their worries.Apart from this, we have SFL (Sion Football League) and SPL (Sion Premier League) every year which encourages more talents to show up.Few milestones which Sion hospital has achieved over the years :-1. Guinness world record for successfully removing heaviest renal tumour.2. First ever human milk bank in Asia was developed at Sion hospital.3. An exclusive “Thalassemia day care centre” for patients suffering from thalassemia.4. An “Oncology Day care centre” for patients suffering from Cancer.5. According to stats, nearly 19,00,000 patients visited our OPD’s during last year which is much more than other municipal hospitals in Mumbai. So in short, life of an MBBS student at LTMMC is just amazing. Every day spent at Sion is unique in its own way.“Unity” is what keeps Sion going.#LiveLongTheSionSpirit.Thanks for reading :-)
