PDF Editor FAQ

What are you optimistic about for America’s political future?

Hmm…that’s honestly trickier than the ‘cynical take’, I must admit. So much of the system is frankly gamed against the electorate, and that’s what makes things difficult: the system is pro-ultra-capitalist, which has ultimately led to a huge level of wealth inequality. Thanks to the Citizen United v FEC ruling, corporations can make campaign donations on a huge scale, and that exacerbates the problem. Why? Because corporations and wealthy campaign donors can effectively buy politicians that will keep the policies maintaining that inequality in play.In other words, the people causing most of the problems are paying the ones capable of resolving them so that they don’t. That’s backwards, and then some.My positive take on things is that Americans are starting to wake up to the fact that they’re being played: they’re recognising that their votes don’t count for much, and that the officials elected in their name actually don’t work for them. They’re starting to see the inequality in their day-to-day lives, and they’re not happy about it. More than that…they’re waking up to who is responsible.Unfortunately, and perhaps I’m going back to the cynical side of things, that’s what gave you this guy:Why? Because he recognised the discontent in the electorate, and played on it.Be clear: he’s more of the same. He’s an ultra-wealthy (or supposedly ultra-wealthy) capitalist that has a long history of failed businesses, fraudulent enterprises and court cases (many centered around non-payment for services rendered). He’s one of the people who is mostly in politics to serve his own interests. This isn’t a man who has ever worked a day in his life in service to others - nor did he work his way through local government and have to prove himself capable. In reality, he’s a bloodsucker, and you’re the one he’s feasting on.That said, the reasons for the Trump phenomena are largely legitimate (at least once you push past the pro-white/anti-immigrant rhetoric, or the evangelical lobby acting as though Christians are being oppressed in a country dominated by Christian politicians). There is huge wealth inequality. There is a lack of affordable healthcare. There are concerns with government overreach, or a feeling that the electorate is being unduly taxed without receiving much in return. Of course there is: because that’s the way corporations (and the Republicans they support) want it.The problem for Trump is that he’s exemplified the problem, and made it clear for all to see: he’s the wealthy 1% acting as if he’s part of the poorer 99%, and he can’t pull that off convincingly. He’s demonstrated that self-interest motivates these greedy fuckers, and he doesn’t care about you. He’s only in this for himself. He told us he’d clean out the swamp, change things up in Washington, and act for the benefit of the electorate, to improve standards of living for all Americans. In reality, he’s working for himself. Worse than that, rather than improving life for most Americans, he’s too busy trying to tell the world that they’re not real Americans.Okay, so, where’s the positive spin? I am getting to it, I promise. The thing is, now people are waking up to this. They’re recognising not only the inequality, but the cause of it. They’re being exposed, more and more, to a world that isn’t nearly as bad as American politicians like them to believe. We’ve got universal healthcare, unemployment support and a government that works for us rather than for themselves (for the most part - nobody’s perfect!). We have corporate regulation that ensures that benefits to corporations also benefit us, and they can’t destroy the environment that we plan to leave to our kids. Americans are starting to realise that there’s absolutely no reason why they should live at a lower standard than many of the other developed nations in the world. It’s gonna be a long haul, alas: you’ve got a lot of work to do to clean things up on that side of the pond. “Cleaning the swamp” is a good way to put it: you have to get rid of those who serve themselves, and start electing people who serve you. You have to get money out of politics, and start pushing for those who benefit from your labour to start benefitting you in more ways than just providing a minimum-wage job.The sort of changes we’ve had to institute here have come after thousands of years of exploitation, greed and revolution - and that may be what is required in the United States. There might have to be a new revolution of some form - the inequality is pushing people to breaking point, and the existing system is only feeding into that. Maybe we’re past the point where there’s another option, but I don’t yet think we’re there. The positive spin? People are starting to wake up. You guys have been asleep far too long, and the damage done in the meantime is crippling a country that believes itself the greatest in the world. Be clear: you’re not, but the potential exists, and only then if you wake up, get off your asses and act.

Why did Donald Trump want to be the President of the United States in the first place?

I think based upon his long statements on the topic over more than 30 years that he saw the US going down the drain of socialism and just plain stupidity, decided he wanted to fix the system and return it to a rational care for the citizens. As a father and grandfather he saw the future of his family being endangered by the continual degrading into socialism and communism of his nation and he decided that taking care of the national interest was necessary to make sure his family and more generally of the national population as a whole had their interests addressed and properly taken care of .It is no different from men like George Washington who made sure in so many ways that the US would become a great nation by his refusal to be a ruler rather choosing to being a leader. It is the dream of the 10,000 generation that Jefferson spoke of. It is a case of seeing beyond himself and seeing the future and necessities of future generations far far ahead of the short sighted and trivial motivations of so many today. It is a view of service and giving back for the good fortune he himself has enjoyed.I know many people presume to imagine some private interest or some other motives but every action of President Trump is best seen in the light of him literally giving back and contributing his life and leadership to the future of America. If you look at how he speaks about his goals and efforts, they are never spoken of as being against anyone, but rather as profoundly in favor of the necessities and goals of the future. I realize some people prefer to see otherwise but his efforts are all in favor of the future. After writing my first answer above …. I decided a lot more needs to be said. The proof of this reality was the 2016 election in which you had one candidate Hillary Clinton whom had a slogan “I’m With Her”, literally a statement that she was the adherents leader and she had the right to rule, and one candidate whom had the slogan “Make America Great Again” which literally was a statement we love America and are looking to the future. Before this election was done the choice was pretty clear. We could pick a leader who looked to our interests as a people in the form of Donald Trump, or we could pick a ruler who we could go back to in “I’m with Her” to a variant of “God Save the King” It was clear statement of where the loyalties laid. They were either with the American People or with a Ruler. In the 2020 election we are again facing the choice. Will we continue to a world where freedom and prosperity are the lot of all Americans who own their country and keep care of it, or will we chose to pick someone who will rule over us and in the name of some delusional state of mind make us lose our way and become like all other people’s of the earth ruled. It is literally a choice between a President who has no intention of ruling us and a President who becomes a king. Congress is inclined towards a king and has no respect of the rights of the people. The courts have for 50 years had supreme disrespect of the rights of the people. That is changing back to freedom under President Trump. Some may wish not to see this reality. I know many like the other reality of a ruler. But that is all in all the reality we are dealing with.

Is feminism in today's world a blessing or a boon?

More often than not, feminism in today’s world is neither, it is a “Crutch” used by people to obtain more than their rightful share of services, access, appointments, assignments, or benefits.I was raised in a world 60+ years ago, way back when there were only TWO genders, and they were different. I agree that a female who does the same job as a male, should receive the same pay, and that she should enjoy all of the human rights that any male enjoys. I was also raised to understand and celebrate the difference between the sexes, to show her additional respect and courtesy by opening her door, holding her chair, by being alert to her needs, and ready to protect her and care for her. However, in return, females respected themselves. They did not get face tattoos, nose rings, and expect to be selected as Army Green Berets or Navy SEALS. They weren’t cage fighters, they didn’t dress a Vaginas and march on Washington DC, and they didn’t demand the right to kill their babies.I’m absolutely “For” equal opportunity, but I am totally against promoting anybody into position based on their genitals. Quotas are wrong. Earn the place fair & square, it’s yours. Whine & cry go to court and sue for a right to have, do, be, go, attain, or win something based upon “your desire to have it also” I’ and you get no sympathy or assistance from me.In it’s original form, “Feminism” was a good thing. It raised females to a new status level in our country, and a level that was only right and fair. Since then however, it has been used by the wrong people for too many nefarious uses. Today nobody is quite sure which restroom to use, how many genders there actually are, and what, if any “Rights” should be extended to whom. Of the, between 4 and 200 claimed genders, how many of them are impacted by what you call “Feminism”?
