Bombay HC has suggested the NTA for a re-run of exam since many students were stuck due to the floods.All these state government were knocking the doors of Supreme Court with all these reasons. But, nothing happened.Yes, many people could attend the exams. They are all happy. We have nothing against them. All the best to them. But, they could write because they had everything at their disposal. Since beginning, we stood for middle class and poor aspirants. What we said is happening. These people needed better attention.

The ash percentage in coal can be reduced by a process known as “Coal Washing” in a coal washeries which are established mostly in Jharia, Raniganj, Bokaro and Karanpura coalfields for treating prime and medium coking coals.Coal Washery by Bharat Coking Coal Limited(BCCL) - A Subsidiary of CIL at Mahuda.Impurities in coal are plenty and they are collectively known as ash. When coal is extracted in Underground or opencast mines, external impurities get mixed up with it, examples are rock, clay shale and in the case of mines having sand stowing, sand also gets mixed with coal during mine operations. The impurities have higher specific gravities than the good burnable coal. The operation of washing coal therefore aims at floating the coal and sinking the impurities in water. Coal won’t float on water. Coal has specific gravity of 1.28 to 1.3.The fact that coal with specific gravity of 1.28 to 1.3 sinks in water at one speed and its impurities with higher specific gravities sink faster, provides the basic principle for coal washing. The difference in settling rates is used in a number of commercial washing devices or washers. A fluid mixture of sand (Sp. gr. 2.6) and water in which the sand particles are kept in an agitated form without permitting them to settle, has a Sp. gr. 1.60, so that coal matter floats over such mixture and the impurities settle down. This is the principle adopted in Chance coal washer, the first coal washer in India.The first Indian coal washery was set up at West Bokaro in 1951, followed by the second one installed at Jamadoba in 1952 – both by M/s Tata Iron and Steel Limited. The third washery came up at Lodna colliery by M/s Turner Morrison in 1955. A large washery in the public sector was commissioned at Kargali by NCDC in 1958.Five Central washeries were set up by Hindustan Steel Limited on the recommendation of coal washeries committee during the period from 1960 to 1968.The Durgapur Washery of DPL and Chasnalla Washery of Indian Iron and Steel Co. was installed in the year 1968.Hope this answer helps to get an idea about ‘coal washing’ :)
