What was your favorite U.S. Air Force base to be stationed at?

I grew up on Air Force Bases and have a few favorites like Randolph AFB near San Antonio, TX, Walker AFB near Roswell, NM, and Istanbul Turkey which wasn't exactly a base, but the city was drop dead beautiful. However, there was one real favorite.Stead AFB near Reno, NV, no longer exist, but it was a fun place to live. Reno was a great little city. For those of you that are old enough to remember the movie, "American Graffiti", that movie could have been filmed in downtown Reno except that Reno was much brighter and had a lot more going on. As teens, we grew up around the casinos.Stead AFB was home to the Air Force Helicopter School and the USAF Survival School. Both of these commands used the desert landscape around the base and the Sierra Nevada mountain range on the west side of the base. As kids, we had wide open space to use our bikes and later our cars and motor scooter/cycles. We had a cheap movie theater, a cheap place for burgers and shakes, a cheap bowling alley, a free swimming pool, a free gym, and a free teen club. The pre-teens and teens could use all of these facilities without having parents around. We attended Central Junior High School and later Reno High School both in Reno, which was about 12 miles away. Our parents had very active Officers' Club and NCO Club, so the kids had plenty of unsupervised time. We got really good at dancing and partying. As kids, we had plenty of guns around, and we used a part of the Surval School and the driver training course to play around. Nobody ever got shot. I could watch the helicopters operate right out of my bedroom window. Kids didn't have TV in their rooms back then, so the helicopter show was a great pass time, especially when being punished. For first time employment, the girls could babysit in a safe environment while the boys became sackers at the commissary or worked at one of the clubs on the base. I started working at the Officers' Club as a dishwasher on my 16th birthday and grew into a backup cook and cashier on the weekend breakfast shift.Reno had a public ski club for all of the kids, where every Saturday during the ski season, thousands of kids boarded buses in downtown Reno and headed for Reno Sik Bowl or Slide Mountain for ski lessons and skiing with our friends. The ponds in the Reno City Parks froze over for the winter and ice skating was free and fun.Teen dating couldn't have had a better setting. The base was an especially safe haven for pre-teens and teens as very slow speed limits were enforced, and the Air Police were told to watch over us, but let us have fun. I could ride my bike all over the place except inside the flight line. Because the base was safe, my mom din't have to worry about me when I left the house and was gone for hours.Other American kids had great places to grow up on the farm, in good towns, and in some cities maybe even a beach, but Stead AFB would be my pick for an all around great place.

How touristy is the Black Sea coast of Turkey?

Dear Tufshin Dash the Black Sea Coastals are the hidden treasures of Turkey. If you have time and intend to come do it. I will put here some pictures from the Black Sea Coastals. You saw the building, these are the Rezovo Town of Bulgaria. As you can see; if you have a few paddle and swim to there you may reach, it is so close. But of course it is not possible. Even Turkish Gendarme might not stop - i am sure they will stop you- the Bulgarian Border Soldiers will stop and arrest you. I put here two picture to show two season of this beautiful beach. If you go there in May you will see all these yellowish sand covered by the Red Poppy Flower which you can see a sample at the second picture. But be sure the sample is not reflect the reality. There is many reasons. Let i start. ( For Macahel part, i would like to send my greetings and my most sincere thanks for these knowledge to Duygu and Bilgehan who is the owner of NOMADDICTION | Travel & Experience Blog . At the end of my answer i found this website. It is so joyful and informative. I would like to thank for all those to them because of their love about traveling and learning. Since I used the information there in this section, I wanted their labor to be known. Thank you again, Duygu and Bilgehan. Thanks to you, I learned it. I really sent you my most sincere wishes.Turkey's precisely where it ends. Lower portion of Macahel are in Georgia and upper part of it in Turkey. Even it is the name of the region it has a meaning. Macahel means in Georgian hand and/or wrist. It takes its name from Camili Village in the center and 5 villages located similarly to 5 fingers around it: Duzenli, Efeler, Kayalar, Ugurkoy and Maral. Most of the people’s native language is Georgian and the people learns Turkish when they start to school.Macahel known its name with Turkey's proprietary bio-reserve area. According to the definition of UNESCO; biosphere reserves are the areas where practices for protecting biodiversity, economic development and conservation of cultural values are tried, selected, presented and developed. Here Macahel is one of only 4000 odd bio-reserves in the world. Think of the importance. What is more ? Macahel is the only place in Turkey where the Caucasian race of bees lives. The feature of this bee is that, with their longer tongue, they can reach to the pollens even at the bottom of pollen plants. So they can collect more pollen comparing to the other bees, they produces 1.5 times more honey and can collect pollen from places where other bee breeds cannot.Turkey has the second largest bee population in whole world. But they are not so productive when we compare it other beekeeping and honey producing countries. In other words, despite the possibilities at hand, efficiency in production cannot be achieved. TEMA Foundation is also working to reproduce this specific bee species in this region. They organize seminars that raise awareness of beekeepers and honey producers, teach methods to increase efficiency, and try to expand the Caucasian bee race in the beekeeping industry. Turkey’s main problem of beekeeping is that we have three bee races in the rest of our country but uneducated beekeeper mixed the races and this resulted with less production of honey. What can be said for Macahel is not limited by its nature. We should also talk about the environmentally conscious people of this place: Think of a place; the beekeeper said, "Women should be positive discrimination," and the peasant says, "If I use chemical in the field, when my neighbor's bee is put, he mixes with his honey, goes down to the ground with rain, mixes into the groundwater, drinks the animals that live there, chaining the entire ecosystem collapses." Imagine such a place that even in a village where 6 families live, the level of education is high enough to attract 26 university graduates. In Artvin's Camili Village, there is the Macahel Elders Polyphonic Choir, consisting of local artists with an average age of 68, and this choir is registered as a "Living Human Treasure" by UNESCO. Each individual of the choir is registered in the Living Human Treasure. Nobody in the choir has received professional music training. They attend village weddings and ceremonies and sing polyphonic Macahel songs. So on if you have time i strongly advise you to go Macahel and be part of it for a time.Delikli Kaya Waterfall ( Perforated Rock Waterfall ) - ArtvinFour Church Monastery/Dortkilise Manastiri/Οκτώ Εκκλησιαστικά Μοναστήρια - ArtvinEven the Turkish name is four it is eight churches not four. LOLHopa - ArtvinThis is the end of Turkey and beginning of Georgia.Dear Tufshin Dash it is the end. You saw Black Sea Coast of Turkey. You decide it, if it touristy or not. On my mind this coast is a golden mine for tourists. Because it is hidden treasure, just the natives of Turkey knew its beauty.Approximately 11 or 12 years ago me and my wife decided to do a long trip which contain all of these beautiful coast. But unfortunately we could not.I hope soon we can do this great jorney to the whole Black Sea Coast. Even some parts we went many times, but whole of it, no we could not. Hope we do soon.Maybe you want to join us.Maybe you will do this Black Sea tour alone in the order which i sent you.I hope you will. It's a wonderful place. No need to go to Amazon, Africa or the island of Borneo to see the rainforest. It is a place that has been raining for a great part of the year, a lot of snow in winter, a place where you can swim on its beautiful beaches, a place where history meets nature, a place with warm and cheerful people; It is a very special place. It is so rich in beauty that unfortunately I could not mention its unique cuisine, folklore and culture. Come on, ask me one more question. Ask the Black Sea cuisine in this question. Let me tell you about the unique dishes of each province in the Black Sea.And last, i hope you enjoy from all which i share you.

What Sims 4 expansion packs are best?

Well, I’ll examine each of them. Right now, I’ve covered expansion and game packs, but I’ll try to add stuff packs a little later.ExpansionsGet to Work-4/10World: It comes with a world named Magnolia Promenade, but it’s not really a world. It’s a place with 4 shopping venues that you can buy or build in order to participate in the retail career. That’s all that you can really do there. I mean, you can tear it down and create a new, tiny world but there won’t be much to do in it. It’s sort of meant to be an unofficial expansion of Willow Creek (that’s how little effort they were putting in at this point).Create a Sim: The items aren’t really worth the money. There isn’t much new stuff you’ll be getting and most of the outfits are unlocked through the careers. There’s a cheat to bypass that, but it’s not worth it in my opinion.Build and Buy Mode: Once again, there’s really not much here. This is the most empty expansion in the game. Most of the stuff from this pack just furnishes the venues for the new careers. Very few things can be transitioned into an actual home build, but if you like building public lots you might like the items. There are a few nice columns, gates, windows, and doors for build mode.Gameplay: Decent. It’s the first pack and you can tell they really wanted to see if they could get away with the bare minimum. There are 4 careers. You can become a scientist, doctor, or detective and go to a work venue with your sims. If you perform all your tasks throughout the day you can advance up the ranks pretty quickly and entertain yourself. You can also buy a retail venue and sell baked goods, clothes, furniture, collectibles, or anything you can really think of. The retail store requires you to make sales and it can work in tandem with other packs if you want to have a spellcaster that owns a potion store for example. But the careers get boring after a while and the novelty wears off as soon as you’ve completed all the professions. It’s also annoying because you can’t really get promoted easily without going to work. And if you’re playing with a family you might not always want to join the person who has an active career, so you might not even end up using the pack too much unless you really enjoy the professions. You can also get the same satisfaction from the vet clinic business from Cats & Dogs or the restaurant-owning business from Dine Out (Cats & Dogs adds much more to your game and Dine Out is half the price of this pack, I might remind you).I also got all the way down to Island Living without remembering this pack came with aliens. They can’t really do anything special other than a couple of special social interactions. The most exciting thing that can happen with aliens is an abduction that will leave your sim pregnant, but it took 2 years for that to happen to me, so...Get Together-6.5/10World: Windenburg is definitely one of the best worlds in the game. It’s huge. It’s beautiful. It has a modern and historical side. It’s large enough that you can actually walk around your neighborhood and get out of the house without traveling. It has a lot of community lots. There are multiple starter homes. It’s top-notch. I never really paid attention to it that much and I can definitely say now that every time I play in Windenburg I find a new, fun thing to do.Create a Sim: It adds some pretty nice clothes and hairs into the game. There’s not much for toddlers and children, but otherwise, there are some fun additions to CAS. It’s definitely not the best pack to get if CAS items are what you care about, though. This pack comes with a dance machine trait and the dancing skill, as well.Build and Buy Mode: Just like the CAS items, there’s not a huge amount that’s added to Build and Buy mode. But I think there are a couple of really nice items and I like the fact that it adds closets to the game. Closets are mostly useless since you can’t even plan or switch outfits with them (you can only woohoo or play dress up in them), but they’re a good way to make bedrooms and entryways seem more realistic by making it seem like your home has storage.Gameplay: I don’t live a social life (not in The Sims and not in the real world) so I don’t often use the clubs or groups. It can be fun if you like your sims to be social. And you can create groups if you want to customize them for whatever reason (I saw someone use them to create recurring family reunions, bookclubs, and sororities for example). The only time I really use groups is when I have children or teens since there aren’t really many options available to keep them entertained. The League of Adventurers is a group for kids to go and play on the playground if you want children to make friends. And you can also put your teens in cliques. The Renegades are like rebels and the Paragons are the popular, fashionable group, so that’s fun.City Living-9/10World: San Myshuno is a very wonderful place. It’s actually perfect for the most part. There aren’t many community lots, unfortunately, but there are more than enough residential lots. There are also districts (fashion, art, food & spice, and a financial district for the rich people) that can help your sims have a more personalized lifestyle. My only complaint is the fact that there are so many bars, that could’ve been literally any other community lot at all.Create a Sim: There are a lot of beautiful items in CAS that can be used for all ages (other than children and toddlers because they were trying to force us to buy those stuff packs). The only thing is a lot of the items are very high-fashion so they can be hard to utilize. If you like your sims realistic with jeans, t-shirts, sweatpants, and yoga pants this isn’t gonna be your favorite. But if you want items that are colorful and have an Asian-inspired feel, this is the pack for you.Build and Buy Mode: This is the pack that EA finally got into their groove with. There are quite a few nice items in this pack. The items are mostly modern, colorful and international, or old and dirty. It’s to fit in with all the different apartments and the fact that San Myshuno has a lot of Asian-inspired fashions and furniture.Gameplay: This doesn’t add too much gameplay outside of San Myshuno. Basically, you get apartments with lot traits (I think lot traits as a whole are free though). Unfortunately, you can’t create real apartments in this game so they only exist in San Myshuno, Evergreen Harbor, and there’s a fake one in Brindleton Bay. You also get the chance to interact with your neighbors and they can end up throwing loud parties at night which will wake you up and force you to wait until they’re done or bang on their door and yell at them about it (or you could be loud and annoying and they’ll come to yell at you). You get these festivals in the four districts that you can take part in for entertainment (Humor & Hijinks for comedians and mischievous sims, GeekCon for Gaming and Science nerds, Love Festival for couples, and Spice Festival for snacks, and the Flea Market so you can go purchase furniture). You can start singing karaoke. You can also get invitations from your friends to go to concerts and art shows but they’re rabbit holes so you can’t really enjoy them. It’s pretty fun, but, once again, you have to travel to San Myshuno for most of those events. It also adds the Art Critic, Food Critic, Social Media, and Political careers, which are all very fun when you’re trying to decide what your sim’s goals and personality are.Side note: You can create apartments unofficially. You can build an apartment complex and furnish two different “units.” Then, you can create a household and have the sims live separately while staying on the same lot and controlling both their actions. You can enhance this by getting a roommate so you don’t have to control them, as well. The only thing you miss out on is the slightly reduced rent when you’re in an apartment and the extra simoleons you’d start with by not purchasing your house.Cats & Dogs-9/10World: Brindleton Bay is a nice world. It’s one of the last decent worlds to be added to the game until Snowy Escape came out and I like that, once again, the neighborhoods are actually large enough to go for a stroll with your dog (especially the beach area). The homes are a nice style, but the only problem I have, once again, is a lack of decent community lots. I know there’s not much to do since you kind of have to buy packs if you want more options for entertainment, but it’s still annoying.Create a Sim: There are really nice options if you want to make proudly animal-loving sims or if you want to make suburban sims. I think that the items and hairs are pretty useful for your game, but this isn’t a pack to buy just for the CAS items. This pack comes with a cat lover and dog lover trait.Build and Buy Mode: The items from this pack are more for traditional or family builds. There are also some really nice items for your pets (though a lot of the cutest ones are restricted to My First Pet Stuff, which is a scam). Once again, the items aren’t the worst or best, they’re in the middle. This pack adds a lot of things but none of them are super, wildly, groundbreakingly amazing.Gameplay: The gameplay is everything you’d expect. You can add cats and dogs to your game, which is phenomenal and really makes the game feel more realistic. You can customize them in CAS any way you want (and even make different animals like lions unofficially by customizing a dog to look like it) and give them traits. You can also adopt them on the computer, but you won’t be able to customize them without cheats. You can also train your pets to start or stop acting in certain ways once you get to Live Mode. Cats can jump on counters, which is cool. You can’t control pets, unlike the Sims 3. Other than that, there’s a Vet Clinic career. You can buy a vet clinic business (just like Get to Work) and upgrade it as you get more experience and staff. Whenever you want, you can go into the clinic and perform tasks to help all of the sick animals that come in for treatment. After enough work (or after enough motherlodes), you’ll be able to just open the clinic from your house without traveling to it and the employees will do all the work for you. Then you can literally just sit at home while the clinic operates and collect your daily profits without even showing up. And, as an average sim, your pets can get sick which will require you to travel to the vet clinic so they can get treatment.Seasons-8.5/10World: The fact that this pack doesn’t come with a world keeps it from being a 10. Since it doesn’t have a world, it can almost be a game pack. And the fact that weather interacts with the world you play in means they could’ve done something really fun with a new world’s weather.Create a Sim: This one adds a few nice items. Most of the new additions are for the hot and cold weather categories that are now added to Sims’ outfits.Build and Buy Mode: The Seasons items are very beautiful (once again there’s no kitchen set, though). But almost every other room gets some beautiful new items with gorgeous wood tones and pretty colors. There are also a couple of holiday items, water balloon containers, thermostats, roller/ice-skating rinks, and umbrella racks. There are also some great doors and window sets. Extra points because there’s a furniture set for every room.Gameplay: This pack really shines with its gameplay. Every world has a distinct weather pattern (Oasis Springs gets severe weather in the summer and has mild weather in winter, which is the opposite of what happens in Willow Creek) that can affect your gameplay. When it’s hot you might wanna go out and have a waterballon fight. When it’s cold you might wanna build a snowman and have a snowball fight. If you can’t afford to cool your house, you might wanna go to the pool in summer. And it also adds holidays. There are a few generic holidays pre-made in your game, but you can delete them and create your own, personalized holidays with personalized activities. So, there’s a whole new level of customization and entertainment this adds to the game automatically (especially if you want to include religious holidays). Kids and teens can also join the scouts, which gives them something to do, encourages them to gain a bunch of different skills to earn badges, and they can earn a scouter’s trait that makes them earn skills faster.Get Famous-7/10…barelyWorld: Del Sol Valley is a beautiful world that had a lot of potential, which was horrendously squandered. I feel like the developers were halfway through making the world and they just got bored or ran out of money because there’s, like, 12 lots. That’s it. It seems like a game pack world, but it’s at an expansion pack price. And every celebrity mansion is either ugly or designed in a non-sensical way, so…yeah, I hate it.Create a Sim: There are some great CAS items (not many decent hairs or toddler outfits) for adults, elders, and children. Once again, most of them are flashy and high-fashion so they’re not the most versatile but they do allow for some creativity when making your sims. And I like that you can basically dress your children in Versace if you want to because that’s realistic when you’re sim is a celebrity. This pack comes with a self-absorbed trait.Build and Buy Mode: There are some nice, versatile, normal, mid-century modern pieces of furniture. Then there are the flashy, over-the-top ones that you can’t really use often (like the golden toilet). I love rich sims and it’s fun to make a tacky mansion every now and then, but I don’t know if this is a pack to buy exclusively for Build & Buy mode when there are packs like Eco Lifestyle that do a better job.Gameplay: The getting famous premise is one that I like. You become a celebrity, get noticed, and gain a reputation. You can get a good reputation or a bad one and that affects your social life and random opportunities. You also get perks and quirks as you gain fame (so a sim might have a lot of sponsorships from the social media profession, but they might also be glued to their phone and feel tense if they don’t use it). And it works well with other packs and the base game. All the careers from City Living are easy to get famous with, you can become a famous painter, writer, dancer (if you have Get Together), singer and songwriter, comedian, and all that. You can also join the Acting career, which is extremely fun and interesting (it works just like the Get to Work pack without buying Get to Work). You can also use the video station and drone to basically record and create YouTube videos. You can also become a producer and get paid to basically make beats/songs. The only problem I have is that you can’t get famous by being a professional athlete. Why? Why? Why? In every profession, you get the random option to do something that will give you a star of fame, but probably cause you to lose your job or get demoted. But after you gain that star (unless you have one of the skills I mentioned before), you have no way to maintain your fame and you fizzle out. I do like that kids can get famous pretty easily if they become YouTubers since you can have your kids become the only famous member of the family or you can have famous parents’ kids go on to become famous. This pack also adds the drama club after-school activity in case you want your kids to become an actor/actress later down the line (not like it helps them do that any easier though). Overall, it’s a fun premise as long as the idea of becoming rich and famous interests you.Island Living-7/10World: Sulani is gorgeous. The homes are gorgeous, the style is different from anything in any other pack, and the premise of a tropical archipelago is so interesting. There are only 3 community lots (2 beaches and 1 bar), so you’ll get bored quickly. But now that we have vacation worlds, you can treat this as a vacation world if you want or you can evict some natives and create a few more public venues. I like the fact that you can go swimming, boating, or jetskiing around though.Create a Sim: There are a lot of really pretty items for both genders (not for the children or toddlers as much, but they do get a tiny bit of love). I especially love the female clothing and hairs since they’re so pretty, flowy, and effortless. They also add two traits. One means your sim likes to swim and hates fishing since they’re a child of the ocean. Another lets you summon island spirits that you can interact with in exchange for rewards.Build and Buy Mode: There are some nice items that have a tropical or bohemian feel. The hardwood floors are amazing. The rugs are great. The patio and backyard furniture is pretty good. There’s also a new cooking object that lets you make special meals and a new fish trap you can put in the water. You can also build houses onto the water on stilts, which opens up a lot of new opportunities to be creative. It comes with a kitchen set, as well, and that’s rare. I also love the doors and windows. Extra points because there’s a furniture set for every room.Gameplay: There’s not much gameplay. The novelty of the beaches and the ability to swim wore off pretty quickly for me, but it might be perfect for other people. Seasons really helps out with this pack since it forces you to wear hot weather outfits and everything. There are also mermaids, which are pretty but barely have any powers (they can control the weather, sing songs that influence people’s emotions, summon sharks to attack people that are swimming, or use a siren call to lure people to the water and drown them non-fatally in order to increase their needs). You can interact with island spirits, but that’s not fleshed out. You can do water-related activities like diving and boating. It’s definitely fun, but you have to be into it to have the motivation to use it.Discover University-8.5/10World: Britechester is weird. There’s a college on the left and another college on the right. In the middle, there’s a small (emphasis on small) town with 3 houses, a library, and a bar. The schools are great, so I don’t get why they couldn't have a sorority and fraternity area or a club or something instead of the town since I personally never use it unless I’m attending the universities.Create a Sim: The CAS options are honestly amazing (not for children and toddlers, though). This pack finally comes with jeans, yoga pants, sweatpants, graphic t-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, overalls, and sweaters. There are nice hairs (especially the short locks in the picture). I love this pack’s CAS options since they’re so normal and they make sims seem more realistic. I also love the preppy outfits that the pack comes with.Build and Buy Mode: Most of the options are to furnish the dorms. There are some traditional items for the Britechester University dorms and housing and there are some modern items for the Foxbury Institute dorms and housing. They’re not my favorite, but they added mini-fridges I guess. The couch can also become a cool sectional if you use moveobjects.Gameplay: I think there’s a lot of great things in this pack. First, you have to pay to go to school which is realistic. But you can get scholarships based on your skills, need, and academic progress so far or you can just get loans to pay it off. You can also join the soccer or e-sports (video games) team for a scholarship as long as you go to team practices and games, which are almost every day. You can attend school on-campus or from home. There are dorms and a shared house on campus and you’ll have to walk to your classrooms every day (which are rabbit holes when you get there). But if you study from home your sim will just disappear like they do when they go to work at their job. I like the fact that you can attend school from home since you can keep your day job or raise your kids while you’re completing your classes. It’s actually really fun to raise your teens with skills and then send them off to college if you like to play generational games. In addition, getting a degree will offer you more pay and a higher position when you start on a job. One university specializes in science and math. One specializes in communications and the arts. And there are university organizations that you can join for some perks. There’s the robot builders (this pack comes with a bot building skill that lets you build servos (an unofficial occult sim that can join your family) along with robots that clean and garden), there’s a group that’s basically the overachievers, there’s the spirit squad, there’s the debate guild, there's the art society, and there’s a secret society that worships magic fairies that help you succeed in life in exchange for your eternal service.I like the gameplay in this pack, but I have three problems. First, there are bugs. When it was released, it was almost impossible to play on campus since your sims wouldn’t walk or bike to their class on time. Even if they did walk to the class they wouldn’t go into the building. It’s gotten better, but it still does happen sometimes and you might fail your class because of it. Also, degrees take so long to get that you’re only going for the experience. You could honestly get farther in your career by going to work immediately instead of going to college. I also hate that there are no sororities or fraternities. You can fake this if you own Get Together, but it’s so sad.Eco Lifestyle-5.5/10World: Evergreen Harbor has a great premise. There’s a polluted, industrial district, a green district, and a normal district. It can also be upgraded through gameplay to become a lot prettier or to just become a polluted wasteland. The community spaces have the potential to become extremely beautiful. And there are apartments along with some nice residential homes, but there’s just nothing to do. There are 3 community spaces and a bar, so what can you really do for entertainment?Create a Sim: There are some really nice hairs. This pack actually comes with a couple of scraps thrown at the children and toddlers. Some of the adult and teen clothes are very cute, but a lot of the stuff is tacky since the whole pack is about recycling and wearing garbage. It also adds a trait where your sim hates to work and prefers to scrounge up money any way they can from home. There’s also a green fiend trait that means your sim hates pollution. There’s also a trait that means your sim likes making things with the new activity machines.Build and Buy Mode: This pack is probably the best from a Build & Buy standpoint. There are so many amazing items. And if you cheat to unlock the hidden items that come with the fabrication skill, you get access to even more phenomenal items. Most of it’s modern, which I personally love. There are also some great floors in this pack. The doors and windows are amazing, as well, if you love glass and modern stuff.Gameplay: There’s not much gameplay with this pack. You get options to use a vertical garden, dumpster dive, make soda, make furniture, and make candles if you want to make money from home. This pack also comes with a city developer profession that’s decently entertaining. The main thing that comes with this pack is the Neighborhood Action Plans. You can basically vote on activities that the neighborhood supports by earning these influence points that let you vote or encourage someone else to vote a certain way. The N.A.Ps are mainly useful in Evergreen Harbor since it lets you upgrade the neighborhood to make it look prettier and vote on community spaces so that they become flea markets to sell the items you make, a community garden, or a maker space that has all the objects needed to fabricate the furniture and candles and stuff. You can vote to make the neighborhood go green (which could raise the cost of your taxes) or industrialize (which could increase your pay in certain careers). Other than that, they’re hard to work with in other neighborhoods since they encourage certain activities, but you can make a university campus encourage drinking, playing instruments, working out, and performing romantic interactions with strangers. Or you could encourage people to steal items that are left unattended when you’re in the city.Snowy Escape-7/10World: Mt. Komorembi is a beautiful world. It’s really pretty and it has these little areas where you can go on hikes or jogs and potentially meet mystical spirits. I’ve never met the spirits, but I hear they exist. One neighborhood also has a pond you can swim and fish in, which is interesting. This whole world has very few community lots, but at least you can go on those strolls for fun. There are also festivals and the ability to mountain-climb and snowboard/ski/sled to keep your sims entertained.Create a Sim: There are some truly magnificent items in this pack, but most of them are meant for cold weather, of course. There are a few nice items for toddlers and children, as well. This pack takes a lot of inspiration from Japan, too, so there’s a lot of traditional clothing added to the game if you want to play your game with more diversity. This pack also adds the adventurous trait.Build and Buy Mode: The Japan-inspired town means that there are a lot of new items that will expand your build & buy options. But most of the items are just modern with symmetrical, orderly designs and neutral colors, so they’re easy to transition into any kind of build. There’s also a pretty, new kitchen set for once, but it doesn’t come with upper cabinets for some reason. Extra points because there’s a furniture set for every room.Gameplay: Mt. Komorembi is a nice place to live. The pack also comes with nice items. That’s about it. If you think you’d often choose to go do the snow-related activities, then you might like this pack. It also adds a career that is very similar to the Business career that comes with the base game. This pack also adds three festivals (one for snow activities, one for the dead and history, and one for children). Kids can also sled and I believe they can snowboard so there’s finally an activity for them. There’s also a hot pot…pot. Other than that, this pack doesn’t add much to your game. If you want to play the Sims and enjoy a vaguely authentic Japanese experience (aka a couple of things EA thinks are authentically Japanese), I think this pack might be a good fit. But it’s kind of unfair that people have to pay EA for any semblance of substantial cultural representation.Game PacksOutdoor Retreat-4/10World: It comes with a vacation world. That’s a world that you can only travel to for up to 7 days at a time. You also have to pay to rent a property while you’re there. Granite Falls is a little less than you’d expect from a camping world. This is a game pack and all game pack worlds are just tiny culdesacs. There’s no community lot to go do a bunch of outdoor activities with other campers. There are just log cabins and the prospect of fishing, finding collectibles, and exercising (all of which you can do with the base game)Create a Sim: The CAS items are laughably bad, but they do add a few nice pairs of hiking/combat boots if you think those are worth $20.Build and Buy Mode: There aren’t even bear skin rugs, so…I don’t think that this is the perfect expansion in this area. There are a lot of items that fall under the log cabin aesthetic. There are also tents, blow-up mattresses, and coolers that you can buy if those are of interest to you. There’s also an ax-throwing and horseshoe ring. I think that the Jenga game comes from this pack.Gameplay: There’s not much here that you can do. If you like camping, you might like this pack. But I wouldn’t bet on it because you can’t do many new camping-related activities. The only new hobby is herbalism, which lets you collect herbs to make medicines. I’d say the only thing I (as someone who doesn’t like the idea of camping) would do is make a scouting camp for a bunch of kids to go to as a sort of scouting activity in the summer.Side note: This pack adds, like, three activities so you can honestly just create a fake camping spot in Newcrest and just go there since vacation lots are free now.Spa Day-6.5/10World: None.Create a Sim: There are some nice hairs and some really amazing athleisure items in this pack. I mainly use it for athletic wear and the sneakers it comes with.Build and Buy Mode: There are some nice wall and floor coverings. There are a few nice items that are very sleek and modern. There’s a nice bathroom set. There’s a backlit mirror, which I love since everyone seems to have one of those in real life thanks to mirror selfie culture. Other than that, there’s not much other than the new spa items.Gameplay: This is a nice pack if you want to give your sims something to do. Even by replacing a gym with a combination gym and spa, you can find a nice way to relax by getting a message, meditating, doing yoga, and going to the sauna. They even let you have bath soaks at home if you want to have an at-home yoga and self-care day. This also works very well with rich or famous sims since you can put all the necessary spa items in their mansions.Dine Out-8/10World: None.Create a Sim: There are a few hairs and formal outfits. The clothes are mostly just uniforms.Build and Buy Mode: There are a couple of items for the restaurants. Chairs, tables, booths, and all that. There’s no kitchen set, unfortunately.Gameplay: This pack lets you open and run a restaurant (similar to Get to Work) or just place a restaurant that your sims can go grab a bite at. If you have access to the gallery or some patience, you can create diners, not-so-fast food, and 5-star restaurants that serve any type of food or drink that we have in the game. All it does is give your sims something to do, but it’s nice since you can go to family dinners, dinner dates, or just go out to eat with some friends.Vampires-8/10World: Forgotten Hollow is a tiny, tiny, tiny world. It looks decently ominous, but I just don’t think it’s anything special.Create a Sim: There are a few items that aren’t really that special. The items, overall, are meant to click with every vampire archetype that you can create. The modern, brooding vampire. The old-timey vampire that hasn’t gotten in touch with the modern age. The fancy, wealthy vampire. The monstrous vampire that wears all black. The femme fatale vampire. It’s hard to make use of these items often, to be honest.Build and Buy Mode: There’s a kitchen set for once, but it doesn’t have upper cabinets. The items are meant to be gothic and old-school in order to go along with the vampiric theme. There are actually a lot of nice items, so I don’t think the pack is a disappointment on this front. Extra points because there’s a furniture set for every room.Gameplay: Where this pack shines is the vampire gameplay. Your vampires have a bar that fills up as they use their powers. They gain experience and rank up as that bar fills, unlocking new powers (but forcing them to pick a weakness to go along with them). As you get more powers, vampiric life becomes more restricted. You can also become a vampire hunter by gaining the new vampiric lore skill and manufacturing cures so that you can kill all the vampires in your world. Vampires also have a meter that drains as they use their powers or as they sit in the sunlight (though sunlight immunity is an attainable power).Parenthood-8/10World: None.Create a Sim: The items are pretty decent. They’re very low-key, normal, realistic items that look like clothes you would wear around the house or while you’re out running errands. Toddlers and children get some nice items for once.Build and Buy Mode: There are quite a few really nice items in this pack. There’s some nice stuff for kids' rooms, a great kitchen set, a perfect living room set, and the best refrigerator in the game. Extra points because there’s a furniture set for every room.Gameplay: You have to remember that this isn’t Generations, it’s only parenthood. There are some great additions to the game. Kids and teens will go through random mood swings that alter their emotions and behavior. Toddlers, kids, and teens will also gain these meters for their responsibility, empathy, manners, etc. that will rise or fall based on your actions as a care provider. Sims can also become better care providers by raising their parenting skill. There’s also a chore chart you can use that I forgot about. This pack is all about the gameplay.Jungle Adventure-8/10World: There’s only a vacation world. But it’s probably one of the most beautiful vacation worlds in the game so it’s a shame you can’t live there for more than a week at a time. It’s a really nice place with a Latin American theme and a bunch of hidden, ancient ruins for you to explore if you want. Or you can just sit in a vacation home and enjoy a nice weekend away from home.Create a Sim: Lackluster. There’s just not that much here other than nice hairstyles and outfits meant for wilderness exploration.Build and Buy Mode: This is an amazing game pack for furniture. There are item sets for pretty much every single room category. I can’t stress enough how nice the furniture is because even if you don’t like the vintage, kind of mission style furniture there’s some other objects that are more versatile. And the tiles and wood floors from this pack are amazing. Extra points because there’s a furniture set for every room. Extra, extra points because the kitchen set has upper cabinets, which is rare.Gameplay: As is the case with a lot of game packs, it isn’t the most versatile. You can basically go to Selvadorada and explore the wilderness. Based on your skills (fitness, Selvadoradian culture, logic, etc.) you can go into rabbit holes that will take you to all kinds of new, hidden areas. There are also a lot of ancient, booby-trapped ruins that you can explore in order to find treasure. The explorations are also very dangerous since a lot of interactions can be fatal or lead to minor curses. With the archaeology skill, you can examine your treasure and eventually sell it for money (and fame if you have Get Famous). You can also craft these magic totems that can be helpful or harmful to your sim and anyone else in their world. It’s really fun, but not something that will get used too often, unless you’re really into it.Strangerville-4/10World: There’s a nice world called Strangerville that reminds me of a Texan desert. The houses are kind of ugly. The world is quite small. There aren’t many lots that can become community lots without looking out of place. But the world is pretty underneath all that. The only problem is the Strangerville story can’t be turned off. Unless you play through the story and keep it saved somewhere, you’ll either have to play the story again or deal with the zombies shuffling around any time you wanna play with a normal family in the town. This is a lot harder if you’re a console player, so just be aware of that.Create a Sim: The clothes are either from the military career, meant to make you seem like a conspiracy theorist, or meant to fit the kinda Texan feel of the town. There aren’t many options, but it’s not horrible if that’s what you want from it.Build and Buy Mode: There really isn’t much that this pack offers as far as building and furnishing. But I like the doors and windows.Gameplay: This lets you play the Strangerville story, which is inspired by Stranger Things. You basically collect clues, break into a mysterious lab, then fight the evil, alien thingy that’s causing all the people in town to become zombies. It’s very fun the first time you do it, but it’s not something that’s easily replayable. Most people only play it once or twice, and that’s weird because it’s $20.Realm of Magic-8/10World: There’s a teeny, tiny world. But the world is extremely beautiful, whimsical, and has a lovely feel. There’s also a second world called the magical dimension or something that looks really pretty even though the big magic fortress is ugly.Create a Sim: The CAS items are fun. I like the gothic, dark academia feel of the clothes. And there are some nice earrings. Not the most versatile items, but I love them for certain sims.Build and Buy Mode: There’s an old-timey, magical, Hogwarts-ish feel to the items in this pack that I really love on certain occasions. Once again, these aren’t versatile items so you might not use them often unless this sounds like your style. Extra points because there’s a furniture set for every room.Gameplay: Spellcasters are pretty fun. There are 4 magic branches that you can learn from either through your own experimentation or by seeking tutoring from a master in the magic realm. There’s untamed (cool, flashy, magic spells like blasting people with lightning or bringing back the dead), practical (cooking, gardening, cleaning, repairing instantly), mischief (turning people into monsters or teddy bears and playing with their emotions), and potionmaking. This lets you create some variety based on a sim’s personality and it can be quite fun. The only problem I have is the fact that all spellcasters can do the same thing. What I like about vampires is the fact that they’ll only earn a limited number of powers most of the time and you have to choose weaknesses in order to get your powers. That makes each vampire feel more unique in comparison to spellcasters.
