PDF Editor FAQ

Can I ask a car company to build me a 90s car they made back then?

Sure, their Sales will always entertain a Request For Quote (RFQ), though their quote may amaze you. I read of one guy who paid to have a lot of ~100 Cadillac convertibles (or such) made. Might have been a late 1970’s model, which isn’t terribly desired today. I recall he planned to flip them, but never read how that turned out. Of course, you also must consider meeting current vehicle codes, and parts availability. If even one part is “not available”, that triggers an engineering change which could be very labor-intensive. Anything made by a man can be repaired or re-made by a man. It is just a question of price. In the 1990’s, I worked at Westinghouse with large 10″ 2500 psig (steam-rating) check valves in forged 300 series stainless-steel, built for their nuclear power plants. I heard that the forges used to form them were scrapped, so they wouldn’t even be able to make them today, plus Westinghouse split up (BNF bought nuke parts, then Toshiba which nearly bankrupted them). Ditto for the giant forges used to make the containment vessels. I read that only France has such large forges today. But, the U.S. still makes innovative films, like “Rambo 7”.

What's your analysis of Boruto Chapter 53?

This chapter was really good if you ask me.(Title : That’s Reality)Isshiki manages to summon Kawaki to his dimension and he’s got just 5 minutes left. Both Naruto and Sasuke try their best to find an opening and distract Isshiki, to let Kawaki escape.Isshiki crushes Naruto’s ballsacks and Sasuke switches places with him and Kawaki when Isshiki manages to tag him. Sasuke gets the choke treatment that Itachi had given him years ago.We also get to see a new smoke bomb which contains a mineral dust that inhibits one’s Byakugan and Kawaki uses this to hide from Isshiki.Alarmed by the fact that he’s got a couple of minutes left before his life runs out , Isshiki threatens to rip apart Naruto’s chest if Kawaki doesn’t show up within 20 seconds.Kawaki comes out of his hole and agrees to possess Isshiki’s Karma seal once again in a bid to save Naruto’s life.Isshiki’s life finally runs out and as he’s turning to dust, he only realises to his horror that the Karma seal that he had planted on Kawaki was getting erased . It’s because Kawaki had sent a shadow clone instead of himself to confront Isshiki directly, as a result of which the conversion of Kawaki into his vessel seemingly failed .The dude kills Isshiki with a kick. Finally as the dust settles, Sasuke regroups with Naruto and Kawaki and was about to ask Naruto about his new form.It was all good until Borushiki caught Sasuke off guard and stabbed his Rinnegan. Now that Naruto has completly exhausted his reserves and Sasuke is completely beat up and has lost his Rinnegan, Borushiki plans to finish off the 3 of them then and there itself. Now I know that all of us are pissed about Sasuke losing his Rinnegan . However, I request you read Archit’s masterful answer about it.To quote a line from his answer :In conclusion, Naruto and Sasuke might be at the weakest point of their lives, but they've never been stronger as characters.Naruto has exhasuted all of Kurama’s reserves and Sasuke has lost his Rinnegan. From Henceforth, they’ll be fighting all their battles using their own strength without utilising the power that they had gained from others.(Also, I hope Kishimoto reveals the drawbacks of Naruto using the Baryon Mode in the next chapter)Peace Out.

If the Borg fought the Necrons, who would win?

I am assuming that it is no coincidence that I got the answer request for this just after I answered What would happen if the Imperium of Man encountered the Borg? So I will repeat most of what I said but apply it to the Necrons. Also, I’ll point out something else. I am not fond of ‘Who would win?’ questions. Anyone can win a fight if the circumstances are right. An eight-year old could kill Ghazghkull if the Warboss tripped and couldn’t get up in time to stop the child slicing his head off and trampling all over his armour. That’s why I prefer ‘What would happen?’ or ‘How would X fare?’ as that’s more open and doesn’t need a definitive win/lose answer. Now I’ve got that rant out of the way, here’s my analysis. To avoid self-plagiarism, anything I repeat word-for-word I’ll put in quotes. The first question is how far advanced the Borg are. We’ve seen that a Borg with 29th century technology can do a lot of things the Borg we normally see can’t. If the Borg managed to reach a level of technology equivalent to the Great Crusade, where technology was superior to the 41st millennium, there could be trouble. The second question is how this encounter works. Are we suggesting that the Star Trek & 40k settings are two separate locations, such as different galaxies, and that one lot crossed the void to meet the other? Or are we suggesting that both settings cover different time periods in the same place- that the United Federation of Planets is a predecessor to the Imperium? I’d certainly find that interesting- the Klingon redundant organ system is similar to that of the Space Marine multiple organ modifications, so maybe all Space Marines are part-Klingon. Further, the Romulans could have become the Eldar. I know the lore says that humans didn’t achieve interstellar travel until the 18th millennium or thereabouts, but perhaps what happened is that humanity gained it then lost it, and then regained it.So which is it? Are the Necrons crossing into Star Trek and attacking the Borg or are the Borg entering 40k to fight the Necrons? Are the Borg the 24th century types or have they advanced to a 40k (or rather 30k) level?Unlike the Imperium, where assimilation is a factor, I will go with the majority view that the Necrons are immune to assimilation. Assuming that is true, the Borg will have to shoot to kill. This would be a likely Necron victory, as the Borg aren’t good at this warfare, as the Species 8472 incident showed. Alternatively, the Borg may learn from that and turn into the ravaging monsters of the non-canon series Star Trek: Destiny. The Borg there have decided to wipe everything out and have adapted to do just that. If you push the Borg too far, they will do something drastic and unprecedented. This applies to both invasions, though a Borg invading 40k scenario could just as easily end with the Borg withdrawing, analysing their findings, and then coming back more devastating than ever.It is also vital to remember that the Borg only attack if they have a very good reason. They do not just assimilate at random. They only attack if in self-defence or if there is something extraordinary about a target. Of course, the Necrons are an extraordinary target. In the Necrons attack the Borg scenario, the Borg will soon commit the whole collective to defeating them and acquiring their technology- they’re too good an opportunity to miss.So what about Star Trek & 40k being the same setting? So what if Star Trek & 40k exist in the same setting? Well, the Borg must have been lying low or existing in a new form. Perhaps they’ve been dormant or perhaps they’re gone. What is the case is that they’ve been beneath notice. That means that the first Borg attack will be based on whomever is vulnerable and contains plenty of advanced tech. Let’s say they visit a new Tau planet that still isn’t fully ready. The defences aren’t fully online and they are only prepared for a small scale war. The Borg smash through the pathetic defence networks- perhaps literally smashing their large ships into them- and then scoop up bits of the planet. That’s right, they use a cutting beam to cut out cities, not bombard them. They now have Tau knowledge & technology. They also have the Tau biology. If the Tau also had Kroot or Vespid, then the Borg have also got their characteristics. The returning Borg now have Tau technology and a new fleet by assimilating their ships. The Borg proceed to use this Tau-Borg fleet to take several other Tau locations and eventually conquer the Tau. This isn’t like the Borg with the Federation- the Borg had all the time in the galaxy with the Federation (literally- Star Trek: First Contact) but here they’re desperate and have no time for gambits or long-term strategies. Already, the Borg have done better than the Tyranids. The Borg may also have assimilated Imperial and Ork sites in the process, while also meeting Chaos. This is a nightmare situation. With the enemy being the Necrons, the Borg will first analyse whether the Necrons are worth dealing with, decide yes, and then find a target. If the Necrons strike first, then the Borg will have to deal with anyone they send. However, the 5th Edition rulebook (p79) says that the Necrons often send out small raids that anyone can defeat, either giving rise to myth or being welcomed as a military training cycle. If the first Necrons the Borg meet are these raiders, the Borg have a decent chance of winning and gaining an understanding of Necron technology. In fact, in the Tau-Borg scenario, the Borg already have foreknowledge of the Necrons due to Tau data, so will stand a very good chance of winning. But what if the Necrons send a full-scale invasion level force? Most likely a Necron win. Here’s another thing copied from my original answer. There are some other things to consider. The topological anomaly virus could defeat the Borg, eventually. However, it would still take a while and the Borg could still do a lot of damage. The other comes from non-canon. In Before Dishonor, a Borg cube (alone) finds a way to directly absorb everything. This includes weapons fire. Only the Planet Killer could damage it. However, the Borg even assimilated the Planet Killer. This is helped by the Borg copying Q. The Borg, if desperate, will try anything. They won’t need to assimilate, only copy. If they got sufficient data on a Greater Daemon or Daemon Prince, they could copy the powers of the Daemon. Alternatively (or at the same time!) they may copy the Ork WAAAGH! You’ll end up with a War of the Beast situation…With the Necrons, you can add the C’Tan. If a desperate Borg vessel becomes like the cube in Before Dishonor, it will only have to scan a C’Tan and the Borg will have the power of said C’Tan.Who would win? The Necrons, if they struck first and broke the Borg completely. If the Borg gain or have technology to mirror them, however, then the Borg could wreak havoc.
