If there is such a thing as an IT security clearance in industry or another field, that is a different answer that I have no experience in.If you are asking about a government security clearance, then it doesn’t matter whether the investigation is for an IT job or any other type of job. There may be other certifications associated with IT jobs (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, DoD Directive 8570, etc.). But those certs are not part of the background check for a security clearance.
