First of all, I would like to clear you that it is not any kind of debit or credit card where you can encash your sum insured by putting it into atm or anywhere.The reason for telling that being - I'm getting a lot of marketing calls where people are saying it is similar to a credit card, you will have 2 lacs or whatever sum insured as balance in that card, blah blah.....which are leaving public to think like that. In fact, a couple of clients asked me if they could withdraw cash with it :PSo, with that preface done, here we go...Think of it as a mix of loyalty card and ID card. That is your insurance ID card, which you will be able to use in the network hospitals of bajaj allianz health insurance co. and get cashless treatment from those hospitals.However, the cashless facility is strictly subject to the treatments which are covered and the sum insured limit under your health insurance plan.The network hospitals list of bajaj allianz can be found in their website where you can actually search by city or pincode.Also, if the insurance company is providing any free health checkups in your insurance plan, you can use this card and get those free health checkups done.Hope this helps.

This is a funny story though. I joined Bajaj Allianz as a Management Trainee in mid July 2014 and was supposed to get 18 days salary as first pay. Based on the calculation I expected 25K at the end of the month.My father was posted in Kolkata at that time and after 7 days of classroom training I was sent to Kolkata for field experience.My happiness was at an all time high as I thought I'll be celebrating my first pay with my parents. We were told by HR that salary is credited on 29th every month (I spent 3.5 years with Bajaj and salary was credited exactly at 4PM on every 29th without fail)Finally the D-Day arrived and I called up my parents to tell them that I have received my salary (Rs. 24700/-) and we should meet up. I thought I'll take my parents for shopping and later for dinner at Rajdhani.I screwed up the day by entering wrong pin in ATM machine 3 times that evening before I could withdraw any cash. My father ended up paying the money for shopping and dinner, as usual. That was one of the worst feeling I ever had. In 2 hours, from super happy I went to super sad and my father would not stop laughing the entire evening.If I have one chance, I would change whatever happened that evening.

Bajaj Allianz Future Gain is a ULIP and I have never been a fan of ULIPs.The thing with ULIPs is that they are never as terrific as they are made out to be. They are complicated products that come with hidden costs and expenses.Take this one, for example. It says it offers ‘maximum premium allocation’. I have no clue what that means. Even if you ask the policy distributor, I doubt you will get an answer that you will fully understand. It says it gives you the option to withdraw early, but that will also be at a cost.The more I read about this ULIP, the more confusing it gets. My personal recommendation would be to not invest in it.Instead, you can fulfill your Section 80C requirement by investing in ELSS funds. For your other financial requirements, choose a simple term plan to get life insurance and invest in equities for your long-term goals.I have learned that financial products should be simple, uncomplicated and easy-to-understand. When you mix more than one thing, you don’t get the best of either of those things. ULIPs mix insurance and investment, but don’t give you the best of either. Best to keep them separate.
