They were treated worse than animals.When they did give food, they would usually end up giving 3 potatoes a day to a crew of 22 members. Six persons were supposed to survive on a bottle of water for 6 days! The crew even stated that the pirates often mixed water with diesel to increase its quantity.They didn't even let the sailors talk among themselves and would assist them everywhere they would go.And, it went over for 10 months.Now if you wonder what Indian Government did at that time, they simply did nothing. They just went on condemning this dreadful story. But for rest of 10 months, they didn't even bother to use any diplomatic channels to request help.(No Sushma Swaraj, you see.)But humanity didn't die yet. It came through a blessing in disguise in form of a single man named Ansar, who facilitated their release. In fact, Pakistani government took extreme care to bring them safely to Pakistan and then to India.The ransom was set at $2.1 Million for a secure release of the sailors.Now while Indian Government was wondering what not to do next, Ansar took everything in his hands.He started asking for donations through his NGOs and other charities to secure the release of innocent sailors. And, even though $2.1 Million seemed a very high amount, he was successful at raising it. All alone and by himself.Amazingly, they were told that they were free to go. Another vessel would come by and take the hostages back to their respective lands. So while contacting others, nobody at first took their call. They then zeroed in on Indian navy.Now this part will make you go dizzy. They managed to call every top-ranking officer in the navy, which went invain. Once they managed to land a top-office of Navy on the phone but recognizing their voice, he simply cut the phone. They repeatedly tried to call, but then nobody else bothered to pick it up.But once they contacted the Pakistani army, they were quick to respond. They decided impulsively to send a vessel to rescue the crew as soon as possible.What's more amazing is that 2 days after they were left free, they were attacked by another group of Somalian pirates!They managed to get free and contacted the Indian Navy once more asking their assistance about the whole fiasco. They replied that the case is being monitored and they would respond if another attack took place. But they never dared to come.But only one man did, and his might had overthrown the Somalian pirates alone.

Strictly speaking, Quora *can* add a ‘poke’ feature that allows others to ‘poke’ writers. But with great power comes great responsibility…and that responsibility is hopefully also coupled with the brains and common sense to not add a poke feature.Why not just add a ‘beat’ function that questioners can click to metaphorically beat people if they aren’t answering questions at a speed or volume that someone else deems acceptable? In fact, there are tonnes of silent readers (the real MVP’s) who read and up vote created content who don’t answer questions and have no interest or intention of answering questions.A poke function would be irritating to the pokee’s and open to abuse. If someone wants to answer a question, they’ll answer it… without being poked and when they’re ready to do so.
