PDF Editor FAQ

How do you attract an INFJ to get one to like you?

Yeah—I just can’t leave this alone. We are WEIRD and if you are not—unless you catch us in a WEIRD place of massive vulnerability and flagrant disassociation—you really will never catch an INFJ looking for anyone other than the MAN OF HER DREAMS—let me clarify:SELFLESS: you must be the right cultural type—given to humanitarian and cultural sacrifices, a man or woman of charity, self-less, kind, merciful without being told or asked to be and thoughtful about being thoughtles;CREATIVE: we could give a crap about your money—really—unless you have tons of it to give away—so stop with the big flashy everything. My favorite date ever was when a man handed me $4.71 and stood me in front of a Walmart and said that we had to come out of the store having spent every penny with things that expressed my feelings about my date. Super fun. My next best date was a scavenger hunt—where he got the store clerks involved and left me clues at each store (with gifts) until I found him at dinner.FUNNY: Sorry this is non negotiable. And this does NOT include joke telling. Our bodies and hearts are won over by our minds so bring your pith, your wit, your intellect and your banter—or do not bring yourself at all. Keep up with me, Sparky, and I am yours for life.ALOOF: I am aloof AF so if you all of a sudden become my biggest fan? Buh-bye. Love me like there is NO TOMORROW. Maybe you like me—maybe you dont. Love me like a stalker and I will cut you.SENSUAL: Once these markers have been reached—sorry—as a woman—I’m here to speak for the gals only—if you strong E or P functioning—you are probably getting alot of chemistry. This was a huge problem for me before marriage—and not a problem at ALL during. As a single gal now—I do not date because the INFJ is a WHOLE LOVE LOVER. Not to be rude or crude, but, uh, nail the other aspects of her and well…you know what I mean.Best matches: ENTJ, or ENFP.

Are there any lies that your parents told you as a kid that you believed for longer than you'd like to admit?

[Prologue: I should preface this all right now by saying I was a very gullible child. This fact provided hours of entertainment for most of my family. I believed almost everything my parents ever told me. They were cops, and cops always told the truth no matter what. At the same time, they graciously indulged my sense of wonder — I believed in magic/ fairies, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy until about the 6th grade. I also watched a massive amount of television and movies, and believed more than half of what I saw. Toys coming to life (good or evil) was a real fear. Also, I somehow got it into my head that only foster-children could have guardian angels, and that black people either weren’t invited or weren’t allowed to travel through time (I directly blame actor Christopher Lloyd for both of those. Not really. Kind of.) Anyhow, it was this kind of nonsense which fueled one isolated incident that wasn’t really my parent’s fault, yet they love telling the story to this day...]August 1993. Week-long summer family trip with YMCA at Camp Round Meadow in San Bernardino, CA. Right around the time both Jurassic Park and the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was released. The counselors had organized a group scavenger hunt for “dinosaur eggs.” However, these were actually watermelons. At the time (about 6 or 7 years old) I was getting really into science and tech, but really couldn’t afford things like a chemistry set (and lacked the patience to read for pleasure outside of fantasy and mythology). I instead payed attention to film and TV as my means of acquiring new info. In the JP film (some of you may be familiar with the plot), dino-DNA is transplanted into ostrich eggs, spliced with frog DNA, incubated and out pops a dinosaur. As a result, I made some serious mental leaps and gymnastics regarding this “Egg Hunt,” and my ability to potentially take home a “Free Pet Dinosaur.” Deal of a lifetime. Bonus points — In that big-little head of mine, I surmised the following: “I will ask the camp counselors for triceratops DNA, name said triceratops Billy, and proceed to become a Power Ranger after that.” (Like I said, seriously stretched logic.) Again, for those unfamiliar, in the original incarnation of MMPR, each teenager was assigned a power morpher and subsequent dino-based robot. They got to fight monsters, save the world, and learn how to do backflips — all things on my agenda.[Sidenote: This is where my plans got far too complex for a 6-year-old, all based on the “promise” (which NO ONE had made OR implied) about this damn dinosaur egg. How was I to ascertain a power morpher? This was my train of thought: a)acquire and hatch egg, b) find out where the real “Angel Grove, CA” was in relation to Los Angeles, c) find the nearest desert/ range to find rough coordinates of the Command Center, d) ask Zordon if bringing my own dinosaur qualifies me to join up, and e) tell my mother none of my plans regarding this mission, because talking about being a Power Ranger is against the rules.]Anyhow, my mom and brother found the “egg” before me, but let me carry this darn heavy thing all the way back to the camp. You should have seen the unbridled joy on my face. There were even some rough, scaly patches on the rind, adding to my illusion. (It was visually, unmistakably and identifiably still a watermelon. My suspension of disbelief was DEEP.)We got it back to the camp rec center, and people had their “eggs” lined up on long tables. Then over the PA, a counselor announced it was time for “hatching.” I thought, “That’s odd. Where do we swap the DNA?” “Mom, what do they mean hatching?”That’s when I saw people cutting into their watermelons and start eating them. I went into complete panic mode, and absolutely refused to let anyone near my dinosaur egg.Again, I can’t emphasize enough that I KNEW what a watermelon was. I’d eaten them. I also knew what eggs looked like. Didn’t matter.Mom let me bring that watermelon home to the city, bless her heart. No one ate it or bothered it. When it finally started to rot, and I accepted it would only ever be a watermelon, we threw it away together.[Footnote: This would be far from the last time I had to reconcile my clinging belief in fantasy with reality, but this was certainly the funniest.]
