Hey!My journey for selection in IVRI is mostly based on the luck factor and you may say somewhat correlated with my hard work.The journey begins with admission in class 11 and I have a passion for biology. So I joined PCB in class 11 and start preparing for NEET in Kurukshetra. In class 11 and 12 I am enrolled with Aakash institute. In class 12 I had joined one more coaching class for biology and that teacher was a local star for biology and respectfully he was the real star behind my success. The Goel sir biology lesson starts in the early morning at 05 AM in every season whether it is raining or it was so foggy there was no exception. A single two hours class cost me 500 rupees. I used to wake up at 04 AM during my whole twelfth grade.But I had an issue I only read bio all the time. I hate the other two subjects and don't have any kind of passion for any other subject except organic chemistry. This was the first sign of my failure. I used to study 12–14 hours but I was not able to secure good marks in class 12. My primary aim was upsc I want to pursue my BSc in anthropology from Hansraj College, University of Delhi. I asked my parents after my NEET that I want to pursue my BSc and I am not taking any drop but they had denied my admission, They told me that I had a lot of calibers as I was able to crack state veterinary entrance of my state in the very first attempt. Then I had taken a drop and start studying for it as many people have a lot more expectations from me everyone believes that how I wasn’t able to crack my NEET entrance. I had faced a lot of criticism during my drop year many of my relatives said many things to me but I never take them seriously because the goal was clear. And the goal was to secure admission to Hansraj College for Bsc Anthropology and after a three-year degree, I will clear my UPSC in the very first attempt.But I sincerely prepare for the NEET and was doing great in my test series. I am scoring good marks, I am giving my best on every test. But you know tuition pr pyaar mein pdh jate hai mein bhi fss gyaa. But after that distraction still, I am doing good but it wasn't that much good which helps me to secure admission in medical. FInally appeared for NEET and the result came scored good enough but when I had seen my rank I got an idea that I wouldn’t get MBBS. So, I had filled the veterinary forms of my state entrance, VCI, and the main form which I was dreaming all the time the University of Delhi. I appeared in state entrance but I wasn’t able to secure admission in the first two counseling. In VCI also I didn’t get admission anywhere in India in the first three rounds.But University of Delhi is still zindabad I got admitted to Ramjas College for BSc Life Sciences in second cut off and I was keenly observing the cut-off. Int the fifth cut off (20 July 2019) I get admitted to Anthropology Hons Hansraj College. Now I was at my dream place. But still, I am waiting for the VCI results the second and third cut off results came after my admission in hansraj and I didn’t get any veterinary college. Now people get more chances to criticize me and all are saying that leave the medical he wasn’t able to secure admission in veterinary. I start my classes at Hansraj I used to come from Kururkshtera to Delhi on a Daily basis. I left from Kurukshetra at early 04 for straight 10 days. The distance between Kurukshetra to Delhi is 160 km for a single side. I didn't take any PG because I was waiting for VCI results. My brother was also DU pass out but he was a student of Venky so he used to live in south campus during his graduation.So, I start living with my brother's roommate for 14 days till the third counseling result came and I had decided if I didn’t get admission in third counseling I will take a PG and sincerely join a UPSC coaching from the first year. So I went to my home on the weekend, and my father told me that CPU is not working so go to the computer shop to check out what is the issue. So, I went to a computer shop get repaired my CPU, when I went home I started my PC and was checking it by opening some websites. I had an old habit I used to surf the website of educational institutes. So I was thinking which website should I open. Then suddenly I remembered that one of my friend had asked me why is IVRI is giving admission to BVSC or not. As from 2017 the ivri was not mentioned in the list of VCI. The admission in first two batches was made through VCI but in 2017 IVRI doesn't offer the BVSc. In 2018 they had conducted their own counselling but I came to know this after my admission. So, I thought let check the ivri website might be they are offering admission for this year. I just randomly open the website and the time was around 04 pm and the date was 12 August. I found a notification of admission and an Information bulletin. And I was continuously repeating please please last date over naa hua ho. I opened the PDF and checked the last date for the application. The last date for application was 12 August 2019 at 11.59 PM. I feel so thrilled that yes I can fill this form and have a bright chance as they doesn’t advertise the admission that much.So, I filled the form and was waiting for a list in which IVRI was calling students for counseling. The list came on 16 August. There were 04 seats in my category and I am at 07th position. They had called me for counseling and the date for counseling was 22 August 2019. I joined the counseling, in my category only three candidates come for admission out of 09. I get admitted to IVRI and I was so happy that my hard work and dedication towards biology led me to the right place.My biology teacher used to repeat in every class that if I didn’t get the MBBS whatever I would get it will be the topmost position.My father is a renowned veterinary gynecologist in National Dairy Research Institute but still, I am unaware about BVSc at IVRI till last momentI used to guide my classmates for veterinary admission but my admission is accidental.I got admission Banglore Veterinary College also in the mop-up round of VCII got admitted in LUVAS also in the mop-up round.So hard work, dedication, and passion will build your luck.The reason for leaving Hansraj was I am losing my biology background in that course which hurts me the most at that moment. I was fed up with the traveling time. From the south campus to the north campus it takes 1 hour. And from Kurukshetra to Delhi it takes 04 hours. lastly, whenever I traveled in the metro the person sitting adjacent to me was reading a newspaper, doing a test series of UPSC, or studying the UPSC notes.RegardsShubham Narwal
