I am 27yrs old girl from Karnataka and working for an MNC in Bengaluru.Few months back my wedding got settled with a guy( lets call him Mr. X) from the same hometown as mine.He was working for an MNC in Bengaluru and currently staying in onsite.My family and his family knew each other. Coz of living in the same town and kinda far relatives.Our biodatas got exchanged and one day they came to my home to see me. While he was talking to me he told' I saw your facebook profile. I liked you alot. I read your travel blog, its awesome. It seems like you have a nice bunch of friends to travel. Good to see you ...'The very next day they said they are ok with this proposal and he did fly to Europe (He came on vacation to India).Now the ball was in my court. I had to take decision. It was a known family, educated guy and working. So I said yes too.To know and understand Mr.X I asked for his phone number with my mom. His mom told that coz its Ashada ( a month where no auspicious functions take place) let them talk after ashada is over ( Holy crap! they came to see me in ashada. But they dont want us to talk in ashada!).I kept quite. Ashada got over and we started talking to each other via messages in beginning and then via calls later. His likes, dislikes, interests, hobbies and mine got shared. Now Mr X came up with an issue. He said he wants to cancel the wedding. Reason ? Our lifestyles doesn't match. He likes a simple life and I like to travel and very outgoing. My fb profile, pics, tavel blog clearly indicates my lifestyle, my interests. The great Mr.X who saw my fb was not aware of it ! hahaI told my parents about this and they tried to talk to him. But of no use.Shocking things I gotta know later was,1.his mom was demanding golden karadige (used to do pooje. image attached) for him.2. Bajuband3. A site for her son and many such things !My parents never told me about this demands.The resons Mr.X mom gave to my dad to cancel wedding were very awesome.Your daughter is too fast sir. She rides bike , she does alot of shopping (1000rs dress purchased means lot of shopping , but not bajuband,site,.. ) , she posts picture with boys (I posted a team lunch pic !).Let me tell you this. Wedding hall was booked, payment for caterers, decoration was all according to Mr.X mom's demand.Finally after lot of discussion the wedding is called off.I am now happy that the wedding is called off after knowing all their demands. Instead of living with such a shallow minded people and suffering.But because of these kinda of people , my family had to suffer alot. Its been 2 months that it happened. My mom still feels low and worried about my future.My humble request to all:To guys parents-1.Search for a gal who fits to your family status and expectations. Dont catch a tigress and force her to act like a cat.2. Never demand for dowry.To gals parents -1. Believe in your gal and try to understand her. Never underestimate her.2. She will get a good match if you wait patiently.3. Just because her friends are getting married, she dont have to get married soon.

The college where you do MBBS from, will not have any direct impact on your getting into PG, because there you need to appear for an all India level examination again and based on your preparation, you get a seat.The next part of your question - your MBBS college will have some impact on your future life as a doctor. A degree from a reputed government college is prestigious. It'll boost your biodata when you apply to a private hospital in future. Also, in such colleges, you have good patient exposure. You spend time with students and well established doctors and, it helps in shaping your outlook and personality as a doctor. The level of competition in these colleges is high and you develop a competitive attitude right from day 1.Of course, people can become good doctors after doing MBBS from any college, but it is my belief, in a profession where you're gonna deal with human lives, confidence comes with good patient exposure and appropriate training which is in plenty in reputed government institutes.

When I was a first year resident, I had an 48 Hr long casualty duty. Casualty was completed on monday. Then I went to Operation theatre for 7 hrs. So basically I was deprived for sleep for 56 hrs.Then I came to know about 70 new admissions to our surgical ward. I had to write down clinical history of that patient in fair.So I started to ask one by one to each patient. There was one 50 yr old male patient.I asked him questions about his Bio-data. I asked him about age, name, occupation, education etc.Then I asked him” How many chidrens do you have? He answered “Four”As the next point on Biodata in case history was marital status.I asked him”Do you married?That patient was furious about my mistake and told”So you think I am unmarried man with four children at 50 year old age”
