How were your November 2018 CA results?

They were simply stupifying. The official release time was told to be around 6.00 pm. The night before the exam was very disturbing for me. I couldn't properly rest at all. Given the fact that, the evening before I played a lot of basketball and was exhausted to the core, I needed the sleep to rejuvenate my energy. But I simply couldn't sleep at all.I got out of bed as early as 5.30 am and headed to the masjid. Then prayed god to let everybody get what they deserved and to pass me if I really deserved it (somewhere deep in my heart I always knew that I deserved it because of the extensive amount of hours I slogged). My appetite right from the morning was very bad. I didn't feel like even having half a Roti. I felt something attached to my heart dragging it down constantly. I lived through that day only with water and tea. After the customary Friday prayers, I came home. My grandparents, whose hometown was Tiruppur, came all the way to Coimbatore for my results. Everytime anybody asked me for the results, I would reply that we will prepare for the worst and hope for the best (Prudence principal, afterall ;) ).Around 3.45 pm, I switched on the computer and opened all the 3 websites in which the results were meant to be updated. Refreshed it for a few times. Then, I thought I'll play some online games to ease the nervousness. I tried but I was overtaken by nervousness again. My mum was saying something about not getting enough sleep when she dozed off on the sofa. I was on the computer. Grandpa and grandma besides me. I refreshed the site once…..The result page opened…Heavy heartbeats….I screamed to my mum that that the results are out and that I will check them once she comes to the computer and stands next to me.Heavy heartbeats continue….I entered my Registration credentials and clicked the Submit button. The site loads……My heart must truly weigh around a tonne…..A message popped up: “Registration No. Is wrong.”I entered the credentials again and clicked submit….Loading….Then my eyes shifted to the result area where it is written pass or fail, instead of glaring at the marks….Group 1…..PASSGroup 2…..PASSI couldn't believe my eyes. Yes. I passed one of the toughest exam in India. In the first attempt. It was the proudest moment of my life yet. I was overtaken by emotions when tears started pouring out of my eyes…..tears of joy…..The difficulty I went through for the last 3–4 months paid off. That too in style.I would say that it is one of the best experiences a human can ever feel.It doesn't matter if you fail: I failed my CPT first attempt by 4 marks in Math even though I got an aggregate of 107 marks. But here I am, after passing my Intermediate in the first attempt. Try harder if you fail. You'll definitely clear it in the next attempt. All the best! And wish me luck for my CA-Final also.Thankyou for staying with me.Edit 1: Thanks for 50 upvotes. It is the first time I've got so much.Edit 2: Woah! From 50 upvotes to 100 has been an unreal dream to me. Thanks for them. And kudos to Pranay Tandon for passing both sets in the first attempt with amazing marks!!

What are the most frustrating and illogical aspects of India's education system, right from kindergarten up to the Doctorate level?

Leading CBSE and ICSE schools in the city of Chennai have closed registration for LKG admissions up to 2019.Some schools are now asking parents to register for the 2020 admission season.Think that's funny? Hundreds of parents don't think so. Because only children who have registered for that particular year in advance will be considered for admissions.According to principals, demand for the top schools is so high and seats so limited that schools have to mandate registration in the year of birth.“I was shocked to find out that I should have applied right after my daughter’s birth,” said one parent who went to collect application forms for his three-year-old daughter but returned disappointed. It wasn’t this bad until last year, parents say. This registration process used to begin in December of the previous year. But steadily increasing competition has resulted in schools advancing the process by two to three years.Take Sishya, an ICSE school in Adyar. It has already posted a ‘Registrations for LKG 2019 closed’ message on its admissions page, while adding that LKG registrations for 2020 are open. This means parents have to register for admission right in the year of birth of the child.Other popular schools also have similar wait lists. The Ryan International Group of Institutions in Sriperumbudur has opened registrations for Mont 1 and Mont 2 for 2018-19.Another leading CBSE school in Neelangarai has KG registration which is preferred right after childbirth. The secretary of Sishya, R Srinivasan says they have to begin registrations well in advance because demand for seats is very high and the number of children admitted per section is not more than 30.Many parents, hopeful of collecting application forms, have been caught unawares.Even schools that haven’t gone to such extremes have already closed LKG admissions. While pictures of parents standing in long queues to collect LKG applications are trending on social media, several CBSE and ICSE schools, including the Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan School, Siruseri have declared that KG admissions are completed.Original Source-: http://www.newindianexpress.com/cities/chennai/Elite-Schools-Hang-Houseful-Boards-for-LKG-Admissions-Till-2019/2016/02/13/article3274596.ece
