No, i don't think it's a wise move by the government. It is done to ensure government will have a corpus of funds to depend on to execute key projects which might need moderate funding. PF Funds are of low interest and easily accessible. Intentions of the government might be good, however there are lot of reasons why this is not a good decision1) It is people's money, and they should be allowed to withdraw it whenever they want. Early withdrawal of PF is done only by very few people, and that too only in case of emergency needs. Everyone understands that accumulation of PF money over the years is very important2) This decision of the government would have been great if we are currently in Pre-1990 era. Most of them were working in Government jobs and safe exporting jobs whose shelf life was maximum. Everyone worked till the age of 58. And this restriction wouldn't have been a big deal3) But currently, many of them are working in industries like IT where Self accumulated PF is the only form of Social security an IT employee has. Restricting them to access their own PF is really a bad move. They might need it badly during tough times and it might not be of much use to have it when they turn 604) Start up culture is booming. Lot of youngsters work for 8-10 years and like to start a company. Their accumulated PF over the years can be a great source of capital without any interest. By stifling the withdrawal, we are restricting availability of funds to young entrepreneurs5) Due to perceived nature of being Corrupt, government will find it difficult to convince people that, funds will be utilized properly and everyone would get their funds appropriately at the age of 58. For that government should dispatch the open claims in a quick manner and win the trust of people. Make it transparent how the funds are used . If these things are not done, then it's not a good decision

I will keep it intact on the exterior, but replace the outdated FIAT drivetrain with an electric setup driving three wheels (sides and back).
