Most applicants do not have teaching experience. However, recommendation forms for some schools ask about the applicant's potential as a teacher. At large public universities, incoming students in Math, CS and Physics with teaching experience may get TAships. In other words, positive teaching experience may improve chances of admission with financial aid.

They studied the works of Henri Poincaré, Ernst Mach, and David Hume, which influenced his scientific and philosophical outlook.Albert dove into his work at the Swiss Patent Office in his dusty back office, primarily reviewing electronic devices. There was a point at one time that he thought he would spend his life as a Patent reviewer and resigned to make the best of it. He stayed on at the Patent Office till 1909, even after he had finally been recognized and offered a teaching position at the University of Bern.Albert Einstein As An InventorAlbert's work in the patent office really never left him. Through most of his life he created over 50 patents and perhaps more that were never filed. Just about all of his patents are collaborations with others. His first collaboration was with former student and physicist Leo Szilárd from early1926 until late 1933. Albert and Leo were motivated by contemporary newspaper reports of a Berlin family who had been killed when a seal in their refrigerator broke and leaked toxic fumes into their home to invent what became the Einstein Refrigerator. This was a device without moving parts and would eliminate the potential for seal failure, and explored practical applications for different refrigeration cycles. The two eventually had granted 45 patents in their names for three different models. The refrigerator was not put into commercial production with most of their patents being bought by the Swedish company Electrolux.Albert also collaborated with Hermann Anschütz-Kaempfe on a patent for a gyroscopic compass. And with Rudolf Goldschmidt, a for a hearing device. There was a rather elaborate patent with Gustav Bucky for an automatic camera.It has been said that Albert was always looking at things around him and thought about how they could be improved. This was a lifelong avocation.

IITs are just like trees bearing fruits like great placements, successful entrepreneurs, great scientists and great politicians. The tree will bear good fruits if it has got strong roots. Faculties from other departments are also invited for judging. If the total score goes beyond 70% and if the candidate is able to answer questions then he is called for the next stage.I was a TA for arranging such seminars in my department. I have seen people from MIT, Stanford getting rejected just because they couldn’t answer questions in seminar.Stage 3 : Interview in person one on one by department professorsStage 4: If found successful you go to the last stage, that is interviewing by institute level committee.Thats how a professor is selected. He is the one who will be teaching students. Those students will then perform well in world outside IIT.You can buy good furniture, posh AC classrooms, posh A/C hostels, you can buy everything but a good teacher needs to be selected through a good process.This is the sole reason why IITs are not just good, they are Best.
