After one created their burger they could vote for it in an online contest. The idea went well at first with thoughtful creations such as this…But eventually things went downhill. Way downhill, with creations like this…And this…And many more like this…Talk about food porn!After all this McDonalds finally decided to pull the plug and get rid of the not so brilliant idea. But it goes to show that you should never ask the internet to help promote your company. Oh goodness. Monsanto no longer exists, but it’s astonishing how many folks still haven’t got the memo.Monsanto was bought out by Bayer two years ago. Bayer acquired Monsanto’s intellectual property but has wrapped up the Monsanto brand, which is no longer a going concern.The anti-GMO whackaloons will need to find a new boogeyman under the bed. I imagine a lot of them will become antivax (or, as I like to call them, pro-plague) nutters.

Here is my story...I have personally been stopped repeatedly by cops, not because there was a crime committed or because I fit the description of a person (I'd understand that) but because the neighborhood police did road blocks randomly with the intent on catching a percentage of people doing something wrong. This went on for over a year before community outrage and protesting stopped it.I've written before on Quora about an incident where I almost got arrested at Barnes and Noble for trading in a $60 software development book (I'm a software engineer) that I didn't find useful after having for 5 days. You have 30 days to swap a book out, if yours is in new condition.I brought the book to the counter with my receipt, was told to find another book to exchange it with, found another book that looked promising, traded books and was immediately snatched by an officer and the in-store security.Somehow, they thought I stole the original book, and was going through the motions of trading the book in just so I could take the one I really wanted. I can't explain it cause it makes no fucking sense. To make matters worse, the guy at the counter I gave the original book to (with the receipt) tried to claim no knowledge of seeing me earlier (5 min before). And claimed I didn't give him a receipt.I was about to be taken to jail when I asked for someone to pull the in-store tape that showed me stealing something. After looking at the tapes, they apologized, took the handcuffs off and let me go home. 2 hours later.For 2 hours I was in front of the store with what ended up being several police and in-store employees, pleading my case. They asked me questions from chapters that were in the original book, shit, even from the book that I had just taken off the shelf and hadn't read yet. Even after answering the interview style questions, they still thought I was up to something.And do you know what one of the employees said to me when it was all over with? 'Dude, I'm sorry... we just don't get blacks in here buying programming books'. That was from the guy who conveniently forgot that I gave him a receipt when I traded the book out.I was so mad, I couldn't even talk about the ordeal for a few days. To call it humiliating would be understating things. I actually don't have words for it.
