The counselling fever is on, and here we welcome much awaited ( XD) 2020 batch ....The rank inflation disaster of 2020 is well known to all, getting a medical college is getting tougher and tougher in the country even though the seats increase but the synchrony is very lessRegarding the Choice of college at the respective rank, many Quorans have written fabulous answersSo I’m not gonna repeat regarding the same old points, here I have some points which are rarely discussed on which I wanted to really point out :1. Batch strength: This is something which can be controversial and which I think is one of the crucial points one should keep in mind before joining the college .A batch of 250 students or more than that, according to me is not at all feasible except in some very good colleges having a very good facility ( MAMC, UCMS ,BJMC,JIPMER) who can manage.And efficient learning cannot happen in a crowd of students right from the first year at the anatomy table to the second-year microbiology labs to the third year CFM (PSM) postings. What is the value of student in such a big crowd ?The medical colleges of other countries don’t have such a huge batch strength.Government runs propaganda of increasing the number of MBBS seats even though they don’t have that much faculties and facilities to run ,they just have to show in the data, that’s it.That’s where AIIMS , BHU etc stands apart. With optimum and state of the art facilities along with Less number of students means individual care and no overcrowding and efficient learning.( spacious LT at AIIMS P)We are basically divided in small groups even at Pathology, biochemistry ,physiology etc. tutorials where professors,SRsteach us and there is bonding and effective communication. This system can never be as efficient in colleges above 200 students.Now a guy over quora gave a very sugar coated answer that “ we get to learn a lot from the other 249 batch mates, its an opportunity” . These people don’t understand actually and blur out any reason to defend their college even though “unki lagipadi hai”So pls, keep in mind the above factor2. Hostel facilities : now many newbies over Quora who have secured good rank in 2020 are mulling over an issue of academics ,City life etc.of collegeBut they don’t discuss the much underrated issue of the hostel facilities as much. Man! you have to spend 5.5 years in a college and have to make a lot of memories with your friends!A proper hostel facility is must for that.Academics of a college won’t matter that much some time because as we all know its an individual approach how they study. A sound and steady environment will help you a lot in long run. Individual rooms are a bliss , that too from first year of college(in AIIMS Delhi and Patna)!.Aiims have an upper edge here again than any great state govt. collegeRecently KEM College, said that they don't have hostel to accommodate. At least they confronted.Mind you there are many “ great colleges” with “great alumini” having shitty hostel facilities and to be top of that they don’t accept it . Moreover they ,push 4 to 5 students in a single room or dorm like school kids for the entire Academy carrier .especially State collegesI don’t know how they manage.3. Aiims selection rule : AIIMS D > AIIMS 2012 ones ( all are equal)> AIIMS 2018 ones> AIIMS 2019onesChoose the college which is nearer to homeRather than indulging in the debate OF which in this is better ?I’m literally tired of proving that all the 2012 AIIMS are equal in terms of facilities that an MBBS students want. There are literally minor flaws in every AIIMS which is strength of other ones which is not gonna affect uSo rather than categorising on the basis of old notions ( victims are especially RAIPUR n PATNA) , be prudent and grab the one nearer to home. Well, though both are doing excellent work in medical coaching field for over two decades. Naseer in Micro (indeed he is new faculty,but he is the best faculty students have ever seen in micro) Students are giving awesome class reviews of these all faculty.In majority of dbmci centers students strength per batch is limited so you can easily get personal attention in class.As per toppers reviews including dr ashraf AIR 1 2019 neet, Dr shivkumar AIR 1 neet 2020, dbmci notes contains quality contents which is concise,complete and easy to recall at the end. (It depends on you, whether you want quantity of contents or concise content. beacuse quantity ke liye colleges ki library bhri padi hai ! )P.S. More students doesn't make any center superiors or inferiors. You should research on your own before going blindly to anywhere. Visit the center,take center reviews of your city. Ask for any subject demo class or like this what they are providing in course, whether you’re getting money for value etc.
