Even today, one lone wolf who screams ISIS and kills a few people will generate more fear in much greater magnitude in the American minds since 9/11 than the thousands of gun related deaths that occur every year . You can thank the news media for this and this was exactly what Mr. Trump was betting on.To take over the United States, this is one way how it can be done. You use microbiology. You create a germ (for lack of another noun) that can thrive for three to seven days and then mutate into a common flu/cold. During its active phase, it kills the person within 15 minutes. It’s an airborne infection that can penetrate the skin or go through the lungs. It is exhausted through the lungs. In a confined space like a business tower, it can spread in a manner of minutes. Or use an existing virus like the Marburg virus that kills in 12 hours. After all the humans in a restricted area are dead, the virus is finished. With strategically placed seeders, it can spread through a medium size American city in a couple of days and kill approximately 80% of the inhabitants. After the active phase is over, it mutates into a harmless bug or simply dies depending on the choice used.With this weapon, the enemy now selects 10 to 20 highly populated cities but not important cities such as New York City. The enemy would want a country that will continue to generate revenue streams after they take it over. And they will. Centers like Cleveland or Orlando would suffice. Seeders will be used to spread the virus in a target area. They can be either planted in air handling units in office buildings or delivered by air using well placed and hidden drones. Once the seeders have been placed (spies, traitors, undercover individuals, commandos, whatever), the enemy will start the validity phase. The validity phase will establish communication links between the two warring governments. However, the US will not know the identity of the first. This phase will use two commercial planes with inflight times of greater than 12 hours. First plane: a news release will be initiated anonymously but with proper ID for later communique that a particular plane has be infected with a deadly virus. Government will ignore this news release. Reports from that plane that a strange infection has appeared and that people are dying will confirm this. The plane will then crash. Later, it is repeated with a second plane. A communication link is now establish. The first city will be attacked with a prior news release suggesting that a quarantine be initiated. In a matter of a few days, the population of the city will be annihilated but the infrastructure would remain intact. This generates a great deal of fear and panic in the population. Washington is now given an ultimatum….and of course refuses. Five days later, another city is attacked with a declaration similar to the first. This time, the bug is slightly different. Whatever Washington came up with as a defense will not work on it. Few days later… the population is annihilated. Fear and panic is escalated. If the 12 hour bug is used, witnesses to loved ones’ demise and their reports with escalate the fear. This repeats itself every 5 days. No one knows which city will be next. There will not be enough recourses to protect the entire country or to check for every conceivable location for seeders. Air superiority would not be effective against a swarm of drones that are airborne for a very limited time, close to the ground and in the vicinity of a highly populated area making missile strikes counter productive. ICBM are of no use and technology/resources out of reach of most countries. It would be impossible to evacuate every city in the United States. Everyone is held as hostage and every conventional weapon, every aircraft carrier, tank, fighter jet, bomber… Marine regiments… will be useless.If the enemy is identified, the enemy may elect to set off the remaining seeders in all the target cities if the United States tries retaliation. This will not sit well with the American public. Washington will lose the ability to govern and to save further loss of life will succumb unconditionally to the enemy.The rest of the world, allies to the United States, will be at a loss to assist fearing that they too may be targeted. The enemy’s allies will be strengthened. No aid will be coming in the foreseeable future. Canada will withdraw its forces.Washington will become a poppet government to the Enemy similar to Vichy France. A one party fascist republic. Enough freedoms will be removed as to not alarm the general population. Everything else will more or less go on as usual. Sweet gifts will be offered such as free university and healthcare. In short, the population will come to accept the new status quo.
