Barr admitted he opened up a channel to be able to communicate with—of all people—Rudy Giuliani, whose sham investigation into the Bidens formed the basis of Trump’s impeachment.So Barr is open to accepting this kind of information, all but giving his blessing for Rudy to continue to dig up dirt on Trump’s top political opponent. Barr is basically trying to spin this as an issue of the DOJ being open and transparent to receiving information.Barr said the DOJ “has the obligation to have an open door to anybody who wishes to provide us information that is relevant.” But there’s a difference between being open to receiving legitimate complaints to investigate and encouraging a probe that is not only debunked, but the basis of which is the result of a partisan, personal errand on behalf of the President of the United States, being carried out by his personal lawyer.If Barr can’t differentiate between an open door and using the DOJ as a prop to legitimize BS investigations that serve only the purpose of helping Trump in the 2020 elections, then he has absolutely no place as Attorney General. Barr goes on to say that because it’s so difficult to ascertain what information coming from the Ukraine is legitimate versus what isn’t, that the DOJ has established a carefully scrutinized intake system.But if Barr knows how difficult it is to get valid information from the Ukraine, why in the world is he legitimizing the operation being carried out by Giuliani? Who is NOT a government employee, who’s not bound by any rules, who does not abide by national security protocols that other government officials follow.Giuliani is Trump’s private lawyer put in place expressly to circumvent those same security protocols and work on behalf of his client, Donald Trump. If the so called corruption by the Bidens was actually serious, legitimate, and actually taking place, rest assured the DOJ itself would investigate it, because that’s why they’re there. That’s why our tax dollars fund that department. But Barr knows it’s a scam, and so rather than allow the actual DOJ to investigate an issue that doesn’t exist, and ultimately having to admit it was a sham, Barr’s giving Giuliani permission to operate outside the realm of government protocols, accountability, rules, protocol and oversight to conduct his own bogus investigation.An investigation—mind you—that the entire world knows being carried out with the express purpose of making Biden look bad and Trump good ahead of the next election. Now Bill Barr can try and dress this up but here’s what it is, it is state sponsored corruption. It’s the AG in cooperation with the President of the United States using the DOJ to attack Trump’s enemies and ultimately to help him cheat and win the 2020 election.This isn’t about transparency or justice, it’s about winning, that is it! Very good Question! I’d say that for the most part people become interested in the thought of smoking and then try smoking because they see other people smoking and seeming to enjoy them (thanks in part to Antismokers moving smokers out of bars, offices, restaurants, and parties to the streets where kids can see them chatting and having fun while smoking) and then they try smoking themselves and find that, after a few initial puffs that make them cough, it ends up feeling good (or at least feeling interesting in the sense of getting “buzzed” or dizzy.) Then, if they continue smoking for days/weeks/months/years on a regular basis they find they have a hard time convincing themselves to stop even if they’re worried about current or eventual health effects or are being blasted by advertisements, group pressure, or governmental financial attacks (exorbitant tax rates) to quit.MJM, a smoker, not a doctor, and someone who’s enjoyed smoking for the better part of 50 years with little in the way of perceived negative health effects. I smoked at that level for a number of years in high school and college and found the feelings I would get from it quite intense compared to what I felt upon moving up to smoking ten or twenty a day in my mid/late twenties. Despite the “OH MY GOD! Smoking is MORE ADDICTIVE THAN HEROIN!” preachers, the last ten to twenty years seem statistically to have produced a great increase in the proportion of occasional/social/very-light smokers — people who don’t give into the temptation to smoke one after another, but just get intense enjoyment out of the feelings their lighter levels of smoking afford them.MJM

I was not one of the placement coordinator but I always felt the need of some changes in our existing system to compete with other premier institutesCHANGE in the Process: The placement season begins in 4-1 and most of the students approach placements without much preparation.Let it be technical part or soft skills.There should be a proper formal training which should be given to the students in 3-2, equipping them with all the necessary skills and exposing them to various opportunities.This helps the students to get a hang of what exactly placement process is and what is expected out of them.I heard ( from User-12667252999760500050) that in NIT Trichy they have this PPP ( Pre-Placement Process ),where students are supposed to clear this process to gain eligibility for placement process. PPP covers all basic technical, general aptitude tests along with group discussions giving them an insight into various companies' requirements.This makes the student well informed and he/she feels confident to attempt an interview .This process also increases number of hires form an institute into a company ( There is a good chance that the company will hire all of them- happened )CHANGE in Student's attitude : We approach placements without much preparation and if you're wondering where the confidence is from, it is from the brand, yes, it is solely from NITW brand.We expect NITW brand to make wonders for us "Lite dude, we are from NITW, we will get placed, no worry" . This kind of callous attitude will do more harm than good .Go through the stats and you can witness the gravity effect on our Institute ranking which is going down year by year. It is high time we build the brand instead of depending on it and as I understand this (building NITW brand and using it) is a mutual thing.CHANGE in ADMIN attitude :Once we had a meeting with some faculty members and I was shocked by the attitude of one of the HOD "The Institute is for teaching you and not for making sure that your get placed ,it's your headache".The admin should understand that importance of placement in student's life and give proper priority.The HRs are not provided with some basic facilities like a good hall for conducting an online examination or even worse, water. Every HR has a worst experience here. The famous "NO WATER in BATHROOM " story is the best example for the worst experience. In BITS hyd they have an exclusive officer for the placement process who takes care of everything and not only the HRs even the students are given best hospitality (with info from NITW students who went to BITS hyd for adventz placements)Importance to the PLACEMENT Coordinators:If someone asks "what your aim is" we immediately say "Good PLACEMENT" .All the hype in the Institute is centered only around CORE teams ( I was a core member- but that doesn't change the fact) but people fail to realize that fact that TnP coords provide a launch pad for your career and they should be given credit for what is due to them.Students should respect the position of placement coordinator. In a fest,the show is run just for three days but placements run throughout a year, one can learn a lot by being a placement coordinator.We should learn to respect the people who volunteer for this work, Do you know that, everyone (Core, Gen Sec's) will get certificates and their work gets recognized but TnP coordinators don't get a certificate. I asked a coord "Dude, why are doing this much of work, even though your'e not getting certi or proper recognition" and he said "Someone has to do it, why not me ?" .Every one has an aim of getting a job but the placement coord aims to place the whole intake of the institute In this regard our year's TnP team was Fantabulous. We owe a lot to our coord Ashok Kumar Bendi and also the entire TnP team.Taking advantage of other opportunities: Students should also take advantage of other available opportunities like Alumni, faculty contacts and fests. Yeah, even fests like TZ and Spree provide an opportunity where HRs come down. One of the Core member (Prabhat Rao Pinnaka) always leveraged these kind of opportunities and tried to improve the institute-industry relations. ( Bosch -in our 3rd year and Microsoft in final year- no exaggeration, you can refer to the MoU's signed ).
