Simple: Mises was wrong about ManHave just recently post a comment on “Doubt the Action Axiom? Try to Disprove It”. Try to go through it first, pls:“an argumentation massacre of Mises praxeology is much easier than it seems.Try this: stop focusing on "the action" and aim your mental effort on "the human".Mises has never came up with/came to "what makes a human a man". Or to put it precisely: Mises convinced himself, that it is the action - the ability to act - what makes us humans.I read through Mises 15 years ago. And loved it all. And do you know what convinced and kept convincing me (about truth in praxeology) for a long time? It was the fact, that beating the action axiom just through "it is a tautology" or "it is a believe" was impossible for me… just somehow smelled, that "it is not a fully applicable argument". And I was right :) It is not.There is however "an absurd tautology" in all Mises :)"Human acts" is not a self-referential statement! The full argumentation cycle is:HUMAN ACTS AND IT IS ACTION, THAT QUALIFIES A BEING AS A HUMAN. [L.Mises]Thus, so to be correct in logic; the Mises action axiom is rather ACTION DEFINES HUMAN(ITY) and not human acts.Now, You can easily see, that any attempt trying to dispute the action axiom is nothing but a waste of energy. The subject (action) defines the object (human) and as such, so long as we re accepting the object being defined by the subject, any intellectual operation with the object will always bring You back to the subject.But let's leave this "intellectual onanism" :) and make it very easy:What makes me/You/anyone a MAN? It is just 3 things and nothing more:1) Human (being)2) House3) StatusTo 1: Do You know, what happens with a human child, if raised in the jungle by animals? It will not become Mauglee-the king of jungle :) It will never become a man; it will become a pure animal (and that is fact: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi... know even for Wikipedia:) ). And do You know, what happens with any non-human being, if raised by humans in society? It will always stay an animal; domesticated maybe, but not a human.To 2: People tend to believe and say that "we are raised by the society". That is however not true at all. Each of us was raised in or more precisely by its House. Our house - may be family, may be community... raised us. Mastering "the rules of house" makes a human being a person (personality).To 3: Being a Personality however is not enough to qualify for a Man. Personality is nothing but a humanity crust over the animal human being. It is not an inner quality; standalone quality which could replace the inner animal in each of us. And there we go: STATUS - the final piece to make a human being with personality a Man. Status is a nexus of by-our-selves synthetized intellectual concepts, that we adopt in-ourselves and perform from our inner to the external world. What makes You a man? It is what You stand for!Reading that above... take a sec and think through...”If Mises was wrong as argued above, doesn’t that mean, he was COMPLETELY WRONG?Sure it does. Sure he was.Let us be honest:Mises was even that much wrong, he was not able to grasp economics and thus invented a crazy science praxeology.Being wrong to such an extent usually leads to being considered by most of the others a silly lunatic\village fool. And Mises truly was one.Being wrong to such an extent is always accompanied with an absolute misunderstanding of the real life - not understanding “what the hell is happening with the World I am living in and why the hell is it happening”. Which is/was exactly Mises’ case.Mises was obsessed with his own theory and as a result he absolutely failed to distinguish economic laws and his own Status (status in the meaning above cited or if You want: his own belief/paradigm). It is true, in this respect, that Mises is the cause of the most idiotic social-economic paradigm ever - Anarcho-capitalism or more precisely - Mises as a scholar of Rothbard has a significant share on creating the most desperate-and-arrogant-in-his-stupidity economists ever walking Earth - Murray, the high-priest-of-incompetent-boasters, Rothbard.And I could go on. He’s guilty far more than charged in the bold statements above.THE THING HOWEVER IS …hmmm… just consider the following step by step:economics is the biggest science of all - it is the first science human invented/defined; the oldest; father of all sciences and mother of human civilization as suchHaving Man/Humanity as such in focus, economics is the most insidious knowledge-set to masterBecause economy=us, there is “an implicit-inside of each of us- complete ”natural” understanding of economics”. I feel it to some extent. You feel it to some extent. Everyone is (by a definition)All above mentioned features of economics predestined it to be “worthless to be written down”. More precisely - economics was written down in its own book(s) - money and contracts. No priests taking care of libraries; no scholars teaching & no students hungry for theoretical knowledge. And that lasted for nearly 10.000 years. JUST CONSIDER: Economics even did not have a name! until Xenophon brought it ~362 BC sourcing from people of Medes. And there comes Aristotle - a cruelly-ambitious man hungry for knowledge to posses - Aristotle: the true reason of Alexander’s burning Medes, Persia and Magi to the ashes; cruel enough to kill and steal if it leads to knowledge and ambitious enough to put politics above economic laws and promote political concepts (leading to democracy as we know and suffer it today) first. There are these two fathers of economics - quite in a sharp opposition to each other. And than… it took 2000 years! to a man generally accepted/considered to be the father of (modern)economics - Adam Smith - creating “Political-Economics”. Let’s cut the historical discourse here.THE THING HOWEVER IS: What would you expect from any economist, given the above, than being wrong?A friend of mine, who is a professor of economics on one of the top US universities grasps economics rather as econometrics. Most of his economics is to me rather data-analysis-science and not economics at all. Still he shares his work with me and I like to digest it. I consider myself truly an economist. Surprisingly, most of my economics is to the friend of mine rather a philosophy of humanity and not economics at all. Still I share with him my work and he likes to digest it.Economists… we are lost completely.With my eyes I can see economics was lost with the fall of pre-ancient Egypt nomarchy (~3000 BC) and lost “completely”, when Alexandr finished the genocide of Magi in Persia (~350 BC).And be sure that these eyes of mine are not only eyes of a true economist but the only eyes seeing the proper economics :)With my hearth I feel, that we-all economists are struggling, when trying to grasp its scope complexly an completely. That makes me graceful to a big extent.Although reading of most of Mises texts makes me literally vomit, assuming myself “being already a mature true economist”; Reading of Mises was essential to my own maturity in economics.Mises made a great contribution to economics without any dispute.As I take it, it is never right to think about economics/schools in the way “What is the mistake there?”. What makes more sense to me in this respect, is to ask the question: What do you believe, Mises was right about?And Mises had a very strong point:Structured mathematics* is absolutely inappropriate as a tool for/mean of explaining economic laws.* all mathematics above the most simple operations understandable by mostly everyone of us humansWell, I tried to make a point :)

They didn’t have to type 87 different text messages into a Razr Motorola phone. They didn’t not have Wi-Fi in a restaurant while waiting 30 minutes for a table. Life was different pre-internet, and they were born after the fact.That said, Generation Z has skill sets that many of us don’t even realize the value of yet.1. Online Personal BrandingLet’s just take a look at this trend over the past 10 years.Did you know the other day I walked by a beauty parlor that advertised makeup and “social media headshots” as one of its primary services?Regardless of how much we all want to think that Facebook is just “us being us,” it’s not. We post the pictures we want to post, because we want to be seen in a certain way. We subconsciously construct our own image of self online.Every generation from here on out is going to get better and better at this.They inherently understand the value of being seen in a specific light — relative to their friends, their passions, their career choice, etc.2. Social Media MarketingIf you thought Snapchat and Pokémon Go marketing was confusing before, you have no idea what’s coming around the bend.14-year-olds on Musical.ly are launching their own clothing lines. They are appearing on massive YouTube shows and podcasts. They are developing their own products. They are branding themselves and turning their passion into a full-time gig — before they’re even out of high school.But that’s not what’s impressive.What’s impressive is that when you talk to these young people doing it, they explain it as if it was “the next logical step.” A million followers? Of course, launch a clothing line. Of course, sell their own products. Of course, turn themselves into a meme and go viral.There are Fortune 500 companies that can’t figure out how to do this, and at the exact same time, there are teenagers all over the world doing this every day as if it’s second nature.3. Mobile Application UXA few months ago, my mom wanted to know what Snapchat was.I had her download it, and, out of curiosity as to how she would go about learning the platform, I asked her to start using it (while I watched over her shoulder).She stared at the camera screen for a strong three minutes with no idea what to do. She just kept pressing the middle of the screen hoping for something to happen — not realizing you need to swipe from different ends to move into new sections of the app.Look at the UX trends that are popping up right now. We are slowly ditching the conventional “click here” calls to action — replacing them with more intuitive motions. Swipes and finger strokes are what unlock new sections within the app, and it takes a certain awareness of how that happens to use these apps effectively.It’s not just the apps and their interfaces that are rapidly changing. It’s the way we as consumers interact with our technology, and learn how to go about using new technology.For young people, this always comes faster and easier. And as these products become more and more intuitive, the learning curve for older generations is going to become more and more steep.As a Millennial, I have long felt like I was, and would always be, ahead of the curve.But looking at what the next generation is up to, and the ease with which they use the same technology, even I will admit a whole new generation is coming right around the corner.This article originally appeared on Inc. MIUI is the user interface that is developed by Xiaomi based on Android Operating system and will be used in the Smartphones and tablets from Xiaomi.
