as for starters i like to say hello and nice to or at the very least see who ever may read my answer to this question before we get started i just like to say while this may be partly opinion based i will offer some facts and if you agree please upvote my answer and tell me why if you disagree you can also downvote and give me your reason in your opinion you think i am somewhat accurate or wrong unto the questionone of the main reasons why consoles from either legit companies or Chinese companies can vastly vary based on the laws or overall budgetlegit companiesmost legit companies meaning companies that are successful and earn alot of money mainly have trouble due to the following1.the market is hard to adapt to-the gaming industry both hardware and software is only a business a select few companies can actually successfully do while we have some companies for example nvadia a somewhat andriod console which is partly Linux as well as steams machine console which is partly discontinued but still receives some support companies trying to make unique consoles for their brand can be quite hard and dont get the impression this is a trend some companies try to make consoles cause obviously they would most likely fail or not work as successfully but my main point is market intergation can be really hard to do especially when atttempting to own two buisnesses can be really difficult if the company has trouble attracting consumers2.the lack of a somewhat solid or own os- now dont get this the wrong way but almost every device that is built to run hardware and software needs an operating system but since most companies which run andriod as the primary operating for thier phones owe it to google since google owns the source code for almost every version if not all versions of andriod since most companies are either unlucky or simply just lack the skill or money to hire entire teams of professional programmers to do so or lack the knowledge also most chinese consoles tend borrow some aspects of linux and even legit companies do this as well but change the whole os into the design they see as fit for thier business so in general building an os from scratch is hard enough but reprogramming an already existing operating system can be difficult how ever an operating system is one of those really hard challanges to get around and getting it on a device would require a good knowledge of programming and the right hardware how ever inspite of this there is still somewhat a good potentail to be successfull as a third party console maker3. 3 is similar to two just slightly different and that is the challenge of licensing - licensing is one of the hardest things to do on any device especially for newer operating systems like linux distributions the main issue is that the market is kind of unfair and hard when it comes to compatability and getting developers to make thier games or apps compatible is somewhat of a big hassle and problem especially for high end games or famous developers to create or add thier games4.the common issue that other companies or game developers may accuse them of stuff from copy right to pirating or simply put copying-now in all honesty while in terms of other markets such as like the phone or andriod industry which google pretty much gives away its source code and google pretty much earn at least more than 65% of thier earnings with no issues one of the things that make developing video game consoles is most other companies will inevitably try to slow you down by suing you this is one of those things that big companies tend to take advantage of for example Sony one of the biggest marketing giants in the console industry Sony tends to sue consoles that have a potential to be a success mainly due to copyright claims illegal or unauthorized methods of getting their game licences which rarely happens as well as for either using a name similar to it or having really similar design choices while this isn't entirely true most companies simply dont wish for competition that rips off or uses a similar image to gain success which can mainly lead to lawsuits and since most companies that try to make games or gaming devices are slowed down by this it makes the proccess more time consuming or more resource heavy so much so most companies either abandon thier line of production to start new one or cancel the whole company as a whole like what happened to ouya5.is fairly obvious and its mainly due to lack of proper budget planing- now while most fairly small companies dont spend every dime they have on a new idea and consider things like lawyers in case of a lawsuit or accusations of illegally obtained games or hardware most companies regardless of how big or small sometimes fail to consider this while i am in no way shape or form saying that it will be extremely easy to handle all sorts of stuff at once most companies do need to focus on this factorchinese companies have thier own fair share of issues1.different laws-in china most brands are banned and due to the fact that mostly as a result of due to really somewhat dumb laws that mainly prohibit game console production of other brands except those made in the same country also known as the console ban which was done around in the middle of the gaming industrial revolution which was i think a few years after ww2 i may be wrong or inaccurate but i mainly think this was due to trade problems especially due to trade problems this mostly resulting in china baning trade from most countries leaving chinese creators to make thier own versions of popular devices i may not know official laws on chinas trade but this is one of the reasons why2.china has a habit of copying- china is one of those rare few countries that most companies within it mostly copy other well known brands but while most of these brands do tend to have potentail some of them mostly just change the name of the console or what ever they make or add aditional words most of these do sell well at least for a good while before they either abandon it or are sued or lose budget due to way to expensive production cost but i would say that most of them despite being rip offs could be successful they just dont have the right resources3.the final thing i can think of is while china doesnt have that many legit console brandsAS FOR ALTERNATIVE CONSOLE tips made a video on it-AS FOR NONE CHINESE GAME CONSOLES THERE A FEW1.nvadia shield-nvadia shield is nvadias intergration to make android based gaming consoles able to run most high end games on a legally modified version of android and can run games such as gta 4 or 5 as well as pubg fortnite and most other games that arent really for android but still worksits basically similar to the apple tv but it runs a legal version of android that has been modified how ever it may not have all high end games but you can use the console for most other apps that are meant for everyday use as well2.apple tv- while the apple tv technically isnt a gaming console it does run a modified version of mac os i dont know what operating system it is but it definitely is really good support it even has its own controllers and is more of a stand alone device with apples addition the app to the apple tv it can run all sorts of apps and games it can also run some console and pc games3.steambox or steam machine-the steambox or steam machine is technically a discontinued console by steam it was a huge success it definately had potentail to compete with microsoft and sony but it was ahead of its time but it was withdrawn for those who still own a steam box console they may still be reciving update and new games as well as security patches but not just as often steambox or steam machine is one of those underrated consoles it runs an operating system based on thier previous operating system steam os and it is a streaming plat form the idea behind streaming isstreaming-the ability to run video games from a server connected to a supercomputer and the data in real time is transfered to the player as what they see on the screenthe steam machine wasnt totally perfect for starters the price of maintaining and even buying super computer also due to some server based issues running games on thier server was a bit laggy at times steam will relaunch the console but i dont know when exactly they wish to do soits a good console but i would say in my honest non offensive opinion that the controler might need a bit of an improvement dont show me any hate its my oponion4.amazon fire tv cube-the amazon fire tv or amazon fire tv cube just like the steam machine takes advantage of cloud gaming or streaming it also lets you watch movies and a whole bunch of other stuff while i may not know what specific games it plays it does have some games such as red dead redemption over watch as well as games for both mobile pc and console like asphalt 8 and 9 overall the amazon fire tv cube is a great streaming device but i dont know if amazon is still supporting it with more games its os is partly based on android and windows since it borrowed most of windows operating system source code to play games properly as well as support both movie streaming youtube hulu social media and more its a multi purpose console technicallythose are the only three legit game consoles from non chinese manufacturers i know ofthe most likely feature of the gaming market could be one of the three1.existing os modification2.linux integration3.cloud gaming or streaming1.existing os modification-existing os modification is not making entirely from scratch but using an already existing operating system the highest in this buisness is android or google and the reason google is the most relaible is that almost every tech company regardless of if theyre directly connected to them or just a company recrating an operating system could be really successful most companies are trying this but no company is garraunted success just by using android alone which is why some companies use part of the source code for thier operating system to make gaming systems while hard to do and can take a while theres no garraunte it will work2linux integration- is not directly using linux to make a potentiaily successful device but how ever most companies do borrow a bit of linux distros for thier work for example while most operating systems like mac is partly based on linux it isnt fully linux entirely apple uses it own methods and programs its source code differently yes mac in a few ways is similar to linux it depends on the distro regardless while linux is becoming a half part of most operating systems it might or might not be as main stream as windows or mac my point being developers might borrow some aspects from linux but not the whole thing3.cloud gaming or streaming-most services do plan to use streaming as a way to allow players for example from maybe lets say you owned a low end android phone a good possibility is that developers and hardware manufacturers might offer super computing support hardware how ever there are some draw backs to cloud gaming or streaming it would in theory cost more lets say for instance developers might charge more but a good advantage is if the company or developer who makes this is somehow able to afford all those expenses they will be earning lots of money services like liquid sky offer you hours,weekly or monthly subscription to play games through their servers this can be useful for low end devices if it ever comes out non gaming devices like macs could game like a gaming pc including linux distros which dont play a lot of games by connecting the computer to the server and the servers supercomputers do all the processing effectively reducing power output but the supercomputers will need to have everyday maintenance and could become part of newer consolesthank you for reading my thoughts and
